Terrible...Awful...Horrible. Our 2 year old Gas LG dryer started to take forever to get a load of clothes dry. We had purchased a 48 month extended service plan from Home Depot. Just getting the claim filed was a hassle. They required the original cost of the dryer before they would even register the claim. I could not get the receipt online, but, instead, had to go to the store for them to find it in their system. Once I had the receipt, I called back to schedule the service. That is when the real nightmare began. It took A&E Factory Service 4 days to get the FIRST tech out, who diagnosed the problem as a faulty mother board, which, of course, had to be ordered. This took 10 days (I was astounded. In this day and age, when Amazon can get me just about anything in 2 days ). When the part arrived, I had to call to RE-SCHEDULE the SECOND tech. Another 3 days. This tech arrived and installed the replacement board then left, telling me that the problem was solved. We tried a load of underwear and had to dry it TWICE on high for 60 minutes and they were still damp. So, another call to A&E, who refused to send someone else, telling me that the order was closed and that I had to go back thru Home Depot. Another call to Home Depot, only to be told that they could not get someone out for ANOTHER 3 days. The THIRD tech showed up this morning @ 11:40 AM (the window was 8 to 12, so I guess I can't say he was late.) This guy was a real know-it-all who wanted to nothing more than blame the problem on us. He said that we had restricted air flow and that we would have to call another company to have that done. Now, I am not arguing that his diagnosis was correct (although the delivery of the message was inflammatory). What I am really steamed about is that it took THREE techs approximately 3 weeks to come to this conclusion. If the first tech had taken the time to check this we would have had our dryer back in a few days. Thank goodness it was covered under a Service Plan. I would NOT recommend A&E Factory Service to anyone!!!

We saw water on the floor of the laundry room that we thought was coming from our new Maytag HE washing machine. We called Maytag and they set up a service call which was made by A&E Factory Service. The service man arrived as scheduled and did a thorough investigation of the washer supply hoses, supply valves and the inside components of the machine itself. He tightened the bonnet nuts on the water supply valves and did not find any thing leaking. At that point he said he could find nothing wrong with the washer. The service man was very professional and answered all my quesstions. Even though this was a warranty call I would not hesitate if a problem occurs (out of warranty) with the washer to call A & E to repair it. It turned out that the dryer vent pipe was clogged and condensation had been running out of the vent pipe onto the floor.
