The provider had to schedule a second appt so that he could bring the necessary part to fix the washer, even though I had given all the necessary information about the washer, the problem was a common one for that washer and the part could be held in the palm of one hand. If two appts are routine for this work, it would be helpful if the customer were notified ahead of time. Otherwise the service was good.

They came out to repair a gas range and were prompt to arrive when they said they would. The repairman fixed the issue quickly and was very professional. We did have a follow up issue with the range which they came back out and repaired at no additional cost per their 30 day policy. Very good experience.

Sent another technician, as first one was extremely dirty, this time it was the compressor. Whole nother ballgame. Now repairs are close to what a new one will cost. They did refund cost of fan parts, but not labor. Would never have had fan installed if first technician had been correct and not misdiagnosis the situation. I think that they should refund labor minus initial service call. My mother-in-law also lost most of what was in her frig. at the time.
Description of Work: Status of 2 refrigerators at my 86yr old mother-in-laws home. Was told one in kitchen was best as only fan needed to be replaced. Replaced fan and all functions stopped 2 days later.

Workman diagnosed the compressor was going out on the 12 year old Amana. He advised it could not be repaired for a reasonable amount and that the refrigerator would need to be replaced in the forseeable future. A week later, I ordered a new refrigerator that should be delivered next week. Meeanwhile, the icemaker has quit functioning and I am holding my breath, hoping that the remaining features work until the replacement arrives. Good call!
Description of Work: I had a refrigerator issue. My freezer was cycling on and off too often and the ice cubes in ice maker were melting intermittently.

Just as background info, the last time we had issues with our gas range, it was the electronic board that needed to be replaced. This time the same symptoms occurred, so when I called I tried to prep them and asked that they try to have the part available to replace it since this seemed like the same scenario. The appointment coordinator made the comment that they usually try to come prepared, but at the same time was slightly argumentative that what I described to them might not be the issue so they would have to come and check first. Guess what? the technician came unprepared therefore we had to wait on them to order the part and went approximately another week without a stove to cook on (the burners would not ignite either). So, the technician returned and replaced the board with several days, but approximately a week later (it's summer and we don't bake as much) we tried to use the oven in which the oven didn't work. The flame would come on for a short period and them go off, but we could cook on the stovetop. We called them to come out. When they returned, the oven happened to show it was operating so he dismissed it as working properly. A few more weeks later we're having problems again and called. Guess what they told me to do? Call the manufacturer. Yes, that's what they told me! So I tried to be polite about it and called the manufacturer. They were kind enough to take their time to talk through it, but we came to find out the warranty is off the product, however they offered to set me up with assistance from one of their preferred companies. Because we paid approximately $400 for a service and part replacement, I chose to call Aable Appliance back to insist that they repair what they were originally hired to do. In the meantime, I requested that the same person NOT be sent to do the job since he'd already been there twice and made a note on the file that he was "stumped" of what the issue really could be and that we should call the mfr. REALLY?????!!!!!!! So we have an appointment in two days from now to see if they're really going to diagnose appropriately and make the correct repair or change the part that could be faulty (note: I made this suggestion of a faulty part, but again, as noted above, was met with a push off comment of "you need to call the mfr") I hope to have a good report to provide after this next appointment. P.S. I hate to make these reports, but I'm really at the point that when dealing with appliance service, I hate to make the call! That should not be the experience we have!

The repairman cleaned filter and replaced a hose but afterward dishwasher no longer dried dishes at end of cycle. The repairman could not make 2nd scheduled repair date so it was rescheduled but arrived late on rescheduled date. After calling for call back appointment to fix unit it was scheduled from 9 - 1 received a call at 11 that he had another emergency and had to reschedule again. I had no confidence at this point and have scheduled repairs with Sears. Would never use this company again.

He took two days to repair. Had to order the part (even though a commonly replaced part), and the price, I later learned, was EXCESSIVELY overpriced! But to top it off, he forgot to reattach my icemaker! Left some of it on the counter and took the rest. He couldn't find the ones he had when I called and asked the next day. Anyway, 4 months later I had to purchase a refrigerator...the thermostat had gone out yet again, and I was NOT going thru that ordeal again!

Response from Aable Appliance Repair
We are sorry you were disappointed with our service and certainly want to apologize for the technician's apparent oversight in not reconnecting your ice maker. The technicians carry many common parts with them, however, it is impossible to be prepared with parts for every situation. After looking at our records, It appears that your call initially came in on Thursday, 2/4/16. The tech was out on Friday, 2/5/16 but did not have the necessary part . He did not work Saturday or Sunday, but did return on Monday 2/8/16 and installed an evaporator fan motor (not a thermostat), for a total repair cost of $236.93 ($100.00 Angie's Big Deal credit and $136.93 paid at time of service). It is unfortunate that your thermostat failed just a few months later. As always, should you ever have any issues or questions regarding your service, please do not hesitate to call our office.

Very well. Problem was diagnosed on the first visit; part was ordered; installed on the 2nd visit, and working better now than before. I'm glad I purchased the $100 credit toward repairs for $75; that saved me time and money both on the first visit, so I just paid the balance after the repair.

I had a refrigerator in a new home not working. I call Aable Repair and a technician replaced a mainboard. the fridge was still not working 24 hours later so the tech came back out and realized it was the compressor. He recommended not replacing it because of the age and make of the fridge. They refunded the amount I paid as well as the deal on Angie's List I had paid for. It's great doing business with a company with integrity!!

Technician arrived on time. Assessed the repair situations and recommended simple fixes, which did not cost extra. David was very courteous and "knew what he was doing". Also, I appreciated that I spoke with a live operator when I called for an appointment. I also liked the follow-up call about 30 minutes before announcing that the technician was on the way. Very professional!

They gave me a large window of 9AM-1PM and no one ever showed or called to let me know what was going on. Had to cancel because I couldn't wait any longer and I had already taken off work to wait for this large window. The women who answered when I called was really only nice after I told her I wanted to cancel. So disappointed because they had a good rating on here.

I have a Kitchenaid dishwasher model KDTM354DSS1 and noticed that it had started to leak when we did a load of dishes. I called and scheduled the appointment without any problems. The person I talked to was very nice They wouldn't be able to get someone out for a few days. They had gotten a lot of high reviews so felt the wait was worth it and made the appointment. The repairman (Louie) came on the day and within the time as promised. He looked at the dishwasher for a few minutes and said the drain was clogged. He cleaned the drain and ran the dishwasher for a few seconds and said it was fixed. He then left. We ran the dishwasher and noticed it was still leaking like it did before. I called and scheduled a second appointment without any problems. It was going to be a couple of days before they could get back out here. I made the appointment. The same repairman came back out and said it was a bad door gasket. He said he would order another gasket and come back to replace it as soon as it came in. He came back a few days later only to realize he was given the wrong gasket. He had to reorder the gasket. He came back a few more days later and put the gasket on. He ran the dishwasher a for a couple of minutes to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore. After he left, we noticed that when you open the door all the way to load the dishes, it made a weird popping noise somewhere towards the bottom of the door that it hadn't done before. I felt along the bottom of the door to see if it was hitting something but couldn't see where the popping noise was coming from. Thinking that it might be because it was a new part, I waited a week to see if that made a difference and it didn't. While it didn't leak, the door kept making a popping noise. Aable had left a message saying they were doing a follow up call on the work to make sure everything was good. I called them back to let them know that while the dishwasher was no longer leaking, the door was making a strange popping noise that it hadn't done before. They said no problem, they would send Louie to come out and look at it again. He came out within a couple of days and took the door apart and fixed the popping noise. He got done and left. I went to turn on the dishwasher and noticed that the control panel was no longer making any beeps like it did before he worked on it. He just left the driveway so I called Aable and they were able to get ahold of him to come back. He looked it over and couldn't figure out why it wasn't making any sound (it beeped several times when he was working on it as his hand kept hitting the buttons). He said he needed to research it but "at least the dishwasher works" He called me a couple of times to let me know that he was still researching it. He called me last Friday (after a couple of weeks) to tell me that it sounds like there was a short in the panel and that he could quote me a price for a new panel. I told him no thanks (I didn't want him to work on it anymore). I also want to point out that after he left this last time, I noticed that a screw was left on the floor. I looked to see if it came from the door and noticed that there were not one but two screw holes missing a screw.
