Now celebrating over 38 years in business, Aable Appliance Repair continues to be known for delivering top-notch maintenance and repair of residential brand-name appliances to the people of Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana. Locally and family owned, our clients know they can depend on us for professional care at very competitive prices. We repair a wide range of appliances, including high-end appliances, freestanding ice machines, and anything in the kitchen and laundry room. Our factory-trained technicians use modern-day test equipment to ensure precise diagnostics and repairs. All work, including parts and labor, is fully guaranteed for your peace of mind. Licensed and insured, we offer same-day/next-day service in most cases, with well-stocked trucks and expert technicians ready to handle your repair needs. We have several top refrigeration technicians who are capable of replacing compressors and performing other sealed system repairs. The service call fee is separate from the repair and due at the time of service. When repairs are made, parts, tax, and labor are charged in addition to the service call fee, and also due at the time of service. Our service hours are Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., and we are closed on Sundays. Description of Work: First they came out to fix the ice maker, it was over $300 and I asked the man if he felt the fridge was worth that (10 years old) or I should simply buy a new one. He assured me that getting the ice maker would fix it and all would be well. Well, he replaced the ice maker and it worked for a couple days and then stopped working. He came back out and said it now needed a thermostat and another part and it would be fixed. He did the repaid and again things were fine for a couple days then no ice and the fridge and freezer began to stop cooling. It seemed as if each thing he did made the fridge worse. He came back out and said it needed yet another part and assured me that would "fix" it. I pressed him and asked what else could go wrong after this part and the next the was another expensive repair. I declined to have another repair and bought a new fridge. Unfortunately, I wasted nearly $500 in the old fridge before doing so. I think the repairman should have told be my fridge wasn't worth fixing before allowing me to spend the much money.

Description of Work: My Maytag Bravos XL washing machine had a mysterious leak under the machine each time I used it. The technician came as promised and opened up the washing machine and found that the leak was coming from the bleach dispenser (that I never used) tubing. He replaced it it and so far so good. I haven't found any water leak under the washing machine ever since a new bleach dispenser kit was installed.
