+ 0 moreI waited to write a review until now because I really did not know what to expect from a chimney sweep service. A friend had a chimney sweep service today (12-16-15) on two wood burning in home fireplaces, with a different company, so I waited to talk with her about her service to compare. My service took about 35 minutes, the technician never went up on the roof to examine the chimney but cleaned both units from the inside of the house running a brush up the chimney then vacuuming up the debris. The charge was $349. My friends service took 2.5 hours the technician inspected both chimneys from the roof and inside the home, cleaned and she was charged $340. So my conclusion is you really need to shop around and find out ahead of time what you can expect for your money.
Description of Work: Cleaned a gas burning fire place in the living room and cleaned a wood burning stove in the enclosed deck.

Description of Work: They swept out a chimney and they installed a top flu damper which closed up a leak that we were having in the basement.

Description of Work: We have 4 chimneys that need work on the brick.(two that only need some comparatively minor repair, one needs a bit more and one that needs major repair.Two employees came from AA American cChimney and seemed very sensible when we explained in detail what we needed. When we received the proposal to repair them, but they priced each job almost equally, over $5,000 each. he total was over $22,000! Crazy. No way!

+ -1 moreI was able to talk to someone on Sunday and was able to schedule an appointment for the next morning. Which was great since I was having an issue with water leakage around the fireplace. They showed up on time and the work was completed efficently. He performed a cleaning and inspection, that included him explaining everything that would be done and taking pictures from the roof as he explained issues he noted that needed repair and were the reasons for recent water leakage. He used a tarp in the house to keep the dirt from getting on the rug and he cleaned up everything afterwards.
Description of Work: Inspection and cleaning. Check for reasons for leaks.
