Description of Work: This roofing company is amazing because that don't stop at roofing, they also are a restoration company that handles fire & water mitigation. They really take care of everything from the foundation to the last nail that goes in the roof. Anything work that needs to be done they can take care of it easily.

They were given to me by my insurance. He gave me an estimate of $400. I agreed to let him come out. He kept saying, "Well, you may be switching dates." It just sounded like he didn't really wanted to do it. I felt that they were not as professional as they could be.
Description of Work: They were supposed to repair the roof for me.

Johnny Cobb and his crew came in early in the morning and completed the roof work and most of the chimney work in one day. They were prompt, efficient, and very professional. The next day they replaced the gutters and swept the surroundings for nails. Johnny later returned to install the chimney cover (that I purchased separately), installing it free of charge. In addition, he discounted the chimney sealing work because of my Angie's List membership. Johnny is honest, very pleasant to work with, and a craftsman who takes pride in his work. He is most responsive and was always there when he said he would be. I am most pleased with the final products and will be using him in the future. I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone who needs similar work done.
Description of Work: Tore off old roof, replaced it with a new one(included replacement of 11 decking sheets); tore off old gutters and replaced them with new aluminum gutters with guards; sealed chimney and re-flashed; and installed a spring-loaded chimney cover.

This was a very pleasurable experience and would definitely recommend them to anyone. I am a hands on guy and am very picky about craftsmanship. Johnny Cobb and his crew are very skilled and use top notch equipment to do the job right. Prices were very competitive with other companies. I felt no high pressure sales tactics or stress from first phone call to end of the job. During the entire operation I was informed of all details of the work being performed. Even when not home Johnny called to keep me in the loop. I was always given options on what materials could be used and cost verse quality and longevity. He seams to value your opinions. Also Johnny worked closely with me and my insurance company to insure they were paying a fair amount. He ended up recovering several thousand more for unseen damages and extra layers that were not listed by the adjuster, saving money out of my pocket. They were very respectful to me and my neighbors. During the entire operation the guys that helped from the ground scoured for any dropped debris and disposed of it. Rain or shine, all worked diligently at their job. At the end of every workday the entire crew cleaned and straightened before leaving. Over all a great company to work with.
Description of Work: My house is almost 90 years old. The foundation of my roof was wood shakes with 5 layers of shingles that had leaks and hail damage. After being shown many options I decided to go with a standing seam metal roof. The entire roof was torn off including old wood shake siding on the sides of a dormer and disposed of. Rot in several rafters and under flashing was pointed out. They replaced all damaged wood with new. Then a plywood foundation was laid down. Next a synthetic membrane was installed over ply. Followed by the standing seam metal and the trim. They also flashed a dormer and chimney

This is the best experience we ever had with a contractor, no surprises and then everyday the guys would clean up everything and take a rolling magnet and go completely around the house to make sure no nails or anything sharp was laying around, that is important with a two year old!!! Johnny and the crew were always nice and said hello even if they were busy and that makes you feel important. The job was finished in the time he said it would be and we only had just a couple pieces of siding and a few shingles left, no extra material laying around wasted, thats good measuring and shows they knew what they were doing!!! Great working with them and we are planning to use them for all our projects when needed.
Description of Work: We had storm damage from heavy wind which tore off our shingles and siding on the northwest side of our house. Johnny and his guys at Watertight came in and recommended what needed to be addressed and even though it was Sunday Johnny and his wife made temporary repairs on the damage so water couldnt get in the roof where the shingles were missing. Johnny also worked with the insurance adjuster and company very well and all went very smooth. Watertight then came and replaced our roof and siding and really went out of there way to keep us informed on all the steps as they went along. Johnny was very informative to show us some things that needed to be addressed, as the house is 19 years old, but showed us everything and no pressure to do anything. He told us the plus and minus to everything and made my wife and I very comfortable, his attention to detail was unbelievable and when something wasnt done to his liking he took it all back down and started over even if it was finished!!! How many contractors would do that? Just like the board on the back of the house where the gutter mounts was bowed out from some bad measuring on the rafters when the house was built, he trimmed all to match and straightened the entire look to the rear of the house!!! Another thing that impressed us was how he was always on the job working and checked every project the guys were working on, plus he would always call me and tell me the progress everyday!

I'm always reluctant to hire contractors for my home projects because many times it's just easier and less frustrating to do the work yourself. When my roof and chimney began leaking I decided I needed to hire someone because I had too many other things going on at that time and needed someone who could do it quickly before it became a more serious problem. I contacted several highly recommended companies to provide me with proposals and felt the stress begin to grow as a few seemed reluctant to come out to look at my roof and "give me an estimate" and even had one refuse; hanging up on me when I seemed frustrated that he was trying to give me an estimate over the phone based on my description of the project. When I contacted Watertight Roofing, John Cobb came right out (I found out later that he was the owner of the company.) He was professional and took the time to explain to me what he noticed about my roof/chimney and what he thought was necessary to fix it. Then he did what no other contractor had done, he looked me in the eye, promised he would do an excellent job for me and told me that he would love to take care of my project. I've been a Sales and Customer Service professional for 25 years and there is nothing that excites me more than someone who seems enthusiastic about making me their customer. I accepted his proposal within a few hours of receiving it. On the day of the project, I received a call to let me know the crew were on their way and within the hour the guys were on my roof working. This crew had to tear of two layers of shingles, replace twenty-one sheets of plywood and then install the new shingles. They did all of this in one day; working right up to sundown and returning in the morning to make sure everything was cleaned up. They even raked my mulch to make sure there were no fragments of shingles in the landscape beds. They also ran a sweep magnet around my house to get any nails that may have fallen in the grass. All the guys on the crew were cordial and worked quickly; truly professional in every way. Each seemed to have a particular job that they did as I saw guys on the ground that were anticipating what was needed and taking care of providing materials to the guys on the roof. It was great to see a team that worked so well together and acted like they enjoyed what they did. In the end I have a great looking roof and a chimney that doesn't leak, however, the true test of knowing you hired the right company is how you feel when you write the check. Not only did I have no regrets writing out the check, but I feel the job was done right, and surpassed my high expectations. John communicated with me throughout the entire project as they encountered things that needed attention. It was apparent that his priority was to make sure I was completely happy with every aspect of the project. Not only would I recommend Watertight Roofing for any roof, chimney repair or home remodel project, but this company will do all of my projects from now on. I am a thoroughly happy customer.
Description of Work: Watertight Roofing tore off my old shingles (two layers), replaced 21 sheets of plywood, installed felt and shingles. Installed a roof fan for my garage, sealed my chimney. They also took care of disposing off all of the old material and cleaned everything up and even raked out my landscaping and ran a magnet over the yard to get any stray nails.
