They are still in the process of the whole procedure but the quickness of the process is remarkable.
Description of Work: They came in to access the situation, set up for an electrician to come out and start fixing the electric right away. They drew diagrams and are building the final estimate which will include replacing my stove, overheard microwave, an smaller external microwave, set up air clarifier, took samples of my cabinets for replacement, setting up duct work cleaning as well as carpet and hard wood cleaning. Not to mention cleaning the counters as needed and will be replacing the drywall behind the stove as needed.
They put down marble and during the process we identified that it was a fake marble. They were trying to slip something by us and ended up having to rip it out and redo it. They made excuses about why that happened but it was rather sly and he not forthcoming. He would never talk to me about the project and always waited until I was gone and just talk to my wife. It was clear they were avoiding me. The tile replacement in my bathroom is poorly placed. The grout lines are uneven and obviously was laid with inexperience. The hardwoods were laid with gaps wide enough to stick a nichol in. The fits are not good. They were just not a good company and I would not recommend them to anyone. They lied to us more than once during the project and are not a reliable company in any way. It was problematic from beginning to end.
Description of Work: We had water damage from our air conditioning unit. We had to replace all of our floors. Two closets of hardwood, entry way was marble and the bathroom was tile. My insurance company recommended this company. I don't know why they did. It was horrible and it took them a couple of months to complete. Beware of this company.

It is unfortunate that a Man of God can post such untrue facts about a Company. As the saying goes...there are always 2 sides to a story. There was NEVER any FAKE marble installed at the Trent residence. There was a bad batch of 12'x12" marble that was delivered to the site. Anyone who knows how NATURAL MARBLE works, there are veins that can crack at any point. For some rerason, there were alot of cracks along these veins. When this was discovered during the installation by the Customer, we IMMEDIATELY tore all of the tiles up that afternoon so they did not set up. FAKE MARBLE WAS NEVER USED. Actually, the exact material picked out by the Trent's was from Lowe's, item # 43019 12x12 DAINO REALE Marble. The Hardwood floors (was a Bruce hardwood 3/8" engineered wood that was glued down over concrete) were installed by a very reputable flooring company out of Lexington that has done flooring for over 20 years. The wood looked great. As for the communication with the wife, this is what was requested. The Customer was the one that was making all of the decisions. Many attempts were made to communicate with the Customer, but all of the instruction came from the wife. The contract was signed on 9-1-10 to begin work and the Certificate of Satisfaction that was signed by (the Customer) was on 11-17-10. There was alot of down time due to having to work around the Customer's work schedule for the contents, and the Customer's had the walls painted since the flooring was going to be all torn up...which took time. Instar is a very reputable company that works very hard at being the best. I felt compelled to share our side of the story as using "fake" materials and "avoiding" contact with a certain spouse of a household is just not true.
