Pop-A-Lock

I was locked out of my house w/ my toddler. We have an antique doorknob that was accidentally locked from the inside (my toddler likes to play with the toggle button on the interior frame). They came quickly and stayed until they could get us in, which wasn't easy with original brass hardware.

We called at 9am and requested service at 10am to meet at time leasing agent would be there to open doors. Pop a Lock showed up right at 10am and we got the locks changed and two sets of keys. Fast and painless. Was able to take my credit card via his phone. Great, fast and professional.

They were very affordable. The technician was on time, fast, and pleasant. However, they did break our back doorknob so that we can not unlock it from the outside. When we told them this on the phone, they said they wouldn't pay for a replacement. That's why I feel they don't deserve an A rating.

My daughter and her roommate were working in the backyard, and accidentally locked themselves out of the house. I tried to contact the locksmith who had re-keyed the locks for me, but they don't have hours after 5pm. I had my daughter call the Lexington police to see if they could help, and they suggested calling someone like Pop-A-Lock. When she did, they said they could be there in 20 minutes. They were, and 10 minutes later, she was back in the house. Very responsive, and effective at solving the problem.

They didn't charge me all that much since they were just up the street. Would I use them again? Very much so.

I don't have any way to compare their price to other locksmiths; it is usually like $50 which sort of seems like a lot. They were very responsive.

They were okay. They came out and did what they said they were going to do. The only thing was that they had told us the lock for our house would be one price but it turned out to be fifteen percent more than what they had quoted us. We still had them do the work about a month ago.

The work went okay. They were very prompt. I would use them in the future.
