+ -1 moreI called in at 7am told the receptionist what I needed, she said they'd call me back soon with a time they'd have someone over. They called back between 7:30 and 8 and said they'd have someone there between 9am and 11am. Steve showed up around 10:15. Got my door fixed up almost good as new and did some basic maintenance on it. He even cleaned the button on the control panel (revealing an LED light I never knew was there) and he explained how it related to the locking mechanism the door has (a feature I also didn't know about). Steve was done with everything by 11am. He was very polite and knowledgeable and I'd love to use his services again, though I hope it no time soon....
Description of Work: Repaired the garage door after I accidentally backed into it before it finished opening... ^_^;

Arrived on time for appointment, and helped out with looking at several doors in their showroom. We would have selected them but found a different style of door from another company that we liked better for the look of our house. We would not hesitate to call them in the future for other services.

+ -1 moreThe installers came out and performed the service however after I got home I noticed a few flaws. You could see light around the bottom corners, the molding didn't go all the way to the ground and the chain drive wasn't performing adequately. I called the company back two days later and they sent out a tech (Brian) who was extremely professional and addressed every issue we had and he was able to show me that one of my issues was that the house had settled. If it hadn't been for him I'm not sure i would have rated this company as well, but they were prompt and delivered what was expected. I will use them again if needed.

Continued to tell me to call with any questions or problems I might have. it looks very nice and didn't take long at all to do. They were verynice and friendly to work with. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: The guy gave me an estimate of what it would cost to repair two panels on the door that were bent and to replace the broken spring...then informed me he could replace the entire store for 150 ish more dollars..it was a no brainer that i should replace entire door..they replace the door a week later..it looks very nice and didn't take long at all to do. They explained everything very well..they were prompt and very nice to work with. I would definitely use them again.

+ -1 moreOverall, I was very impressed with the responsiveness, thoroughness and service provided by Overhead Door Company. I will definitely use them again when the need arises.
Description of Work: Our garage door springs broke (loudly, I might add), and the Overhead Door Company replaced the broken springs. The service person, Chris Pittman, was extremely courteous and professional. He called before coming to let us know he was on the way and arrived on time. After some measurements, he got to work replacing the springs. The whole process took no more than half an hour. What impressed me about Chris was that he noticed there was a gap at the bottom of the door, so he lowered the garage door bottom seal to make it more flush with the garage floor when the door is shut. He also oiled the garage door wheels in the track (they had been incredibly noisy before) on his own initiative, for which I'm very thankful. The fact he noticed these things on his own and took the initiative to fix them was great.

Description of Work: The garage door spring was broken, so it wouldn't operate. Spring was replaced in a timely fashion, and the batteries in the garage door openers were replaced. It works well now.

Description of Work: We used Overhead Door Co Of Lexington Inc to fix our garage door. We had them out twice. I had something in the way when I locked the door and it knocked it off the hinge completely and they came and fixed it well.

+ -1 moreWhen the connection bracket holding my garage door to the door opener fell off, I was concerned that a whole new assembly would be required. Though a replacment bracket was no longer available for this 13 year-old unit, the serviceman was creative in constructing one from a metal plate.The bracket repair was performed within the initial service call time frame which only added the $5 charge for the metal plate.The serviceman also noticed the track needed lubrication. When I asked if the silicone spray I had would be appriopriate, he sprayed it as well. I was most pleased that the repair was completed promplly and with minimal cost.
Description of Work: The bracket holding the garage door to the opener unit had separated from the door. The original bracket was bent and the screws stripped from the surface. A new attachment was fashioned without being noticable from the exterior of the door. The door was also lubricated.

I'll shout from the rooftops and tell everyone I can, they really work hard to provide a good service experience. (And they rescue damsels in distress, too!)

I started having remote control problems that would occur off/on after the service call. They returned the next after my call; said two wires were crossing and fixed. + -1 moreIt was on a Friday and I had to be somewhere that weekend. I could not have my car locked up. They got there which I appreciated and fixed the door and I felt the price was reasonable. I was relieved it was only that much. I thought they were very good. They appear to be responsive, reliable and reasonably priced. I had never had any work on my door before so I was not sure what the price would be but I did not think it was bad.

+ -1 moreI called Overhead Door in the afternoon on a Thursday and they told me that they would call me between 7 and 7:30AM Friday morning. I expected that this meant that someone would be coming over at that time, so I was not that upset about having to get up early on a day off. However, when they called at 7:40 I was told that someone would come out to my house between 2 and 4PM. I was actually called by the repairman at 11:00AM and was told that he was in the area and had time between jobs so he could come over in 15 minutes. This worked better for me so I told him to come. He was extremely polite when he arrived and worked quickly. He reattached our door to the door arm and made sure it worked right.
