Thoughtful and methodical. We gave him the general idea and he arranged for everything. The end result was excellent and was quite reasonable in terms of price. The only drawback was that it took time - I think this was related more to the complexity of what we wanted done.

Jonathon was punctual, professional, and efficient. He did great work and was a pleasure to work with. Although the job was small, he worked us in around other jobs in our area and we will definitely contact him again with our other needs

Took $500 deposit on a $3500 quote. Executed $100 in work. Never showed back up. Doesn't answer calls. Kept deposit. (Said it would take 2 weeks....2 months later I'm looking for a contractor)

Contractors arrived on time and completed work earlier than expected.  Fine attention to detail.  Newly installed floors match up perfectly with older flooring.  I heartily recommend Bill and his team -- great to work with!

Jonathan and David were great to work with.  They were prompt and worked with my husband on designing the space to our specifications.  The total project was very well done and we would definately recommend these guys for home improvement projects.

Jonathan Moore and his crew were the most professional team I have worked with on home improvement project ever.  I will never call anyone else.  He or crew were always on time. Did what they said they would do.  Cleaned up each evening. I asked him to be inventive on a open shelving project for the kitchen.  He took that on and did a most spectacular job. 

I am already talking to Mr. Moore about a second project. 

This is a townhouse I own and lease.  It needed renovation.  Jonathan and his work assistant, David, were professional, worked a full day for a little over 2 weeks, were able to do all that I needed done and made excellent suggestions. My townhouse looks like new!.  I was so lucky to find Moore Custom Contracting.  I highly recommend this company and I thank Angie's List.

Moore's was the only contractor out of 5 contacted through Angie's list that was willing to work a very tough schedule to finish the floors before our move-in date.  Communication was great and they even worked with my carpet installer to accommodate their schedule.

Great people very professional. Even worked Easter Sunday to lay final coat. They know what to do We have a big house so not sure if price is to high but I'm very happy

We had three different contractors come and give us estimates they were all in the same ballpark price-wise  but we really liked Jonathan's attitude and openness to the project and our time frame. We only have one shower in the house and we hoped to have the majority of the work done while we were on vacation. Jonathan worked with our tight time frame and had the bathroom completed in 2 weeks. He was very mindful of our tight budget and stayed right on the estimate except for a plumbing surprise which was not in the budget. He did an amazing job our 60'sstyle bathroom has a new modern look with lots of tile and new fixtures. I love it! He did a great job! I highly recommend him.

My husband and I have been wanting crown molding installed in our living room for the last several years.  Last summer I contacted Mr. Moore for a project in our kitchen and was so pleased with his work, I decided to hire him again for our crown molding project. Within several days of my contacting him, Mr. Moore came by and gave a quote for the project.  By the middle of the next week the project was underway and completed 3 days later.  Mr. Moore's work is precise and impeccable and my husband and I were very pleased with the results.  He and his brother also repaired some cracked walls and repainted the walls in our living room. I appreciate his attention to detail and the quality of his work is superb.  He also cleaned up the work spaces when the job was completed.  I highly recommend Mr. Moore for any of your home projects.

Basement went really well. It went pretty quickly, only thing we had to wait for were dry-wallers...but it was worth the wait because they worked super hard and did an amazing job. I knew there would be dust, I hadn't realized as much dust so i recommend more plastic sheeting than you might think you need.  Jonathan is creative with his woodworking so do take his suggestions.
Kitchen went fine, he worked on most of it and just came to my house and installed. It wasn't perfectly level so I called him back and he fixed it no problem.
Master Bathroom
we had the ugliest bathroom. It was awful, he brought in his tile guy and together we figured out a design.  I gave Jonathan pictures of the kind of look I wanted for the vanities and I sketched a rough picture. He took it from there and they turned out great and cost less than I would have paid at a high end bath showroom.
Do make sure the marble you pick is sturdy. That was the only hold up on the project. The marble I picked was fragile and it kept breaking. If I had to do it over I would have picked a different marble/stone/granite...that held up the project for 2 weeks. It wasn't that bad though since other sink was in working order and shower was complete.

Overall it well, besides painting the living room and hall way, ceiling to trim, also replaced 6 doors in the hall way, did a great job with that as well as with painting the rooms and handrailing.  House looks updated, had the old brown doors from the 70's, now looks great with white doors, good job done on the trimwork as well.

Very professional, and clean.  Very happy about the results, and price was very good for work performed.

I had a difficult time finding a painter for the time-frame we wanted the work done.  Some painters I contacted didn't even return my calls for days at a time.  Mr. Moore responded to my call.  He came over and looked over the required work and provided an estimate.  He had to complete another job before getting to ours.  He prepped surface areas such as filling nail holes, caulking where needed, and sealing several areas on the ceiling that had experienced water leakage from the roof.  He applied two coats of paint to walls and trim and one coat to ceilings.
I was very happy with Mr. Moore's work.  He used good quality paint and did a great job of staying within the lines (as you used to do when you colored in your coloring book).  Those two rooms have such an iimproved look from when he began the job and well worth the $850 it cost. 
I was so pleased with Mr. Moore's work that I asked if he could re-do our foyer, stairwell, and upper landing.  He returned a week later and proceeded to remove old wall paper that had been on for more than 30 years.  Then he completely repaired several areas of the plaster that had been damaged by leaks in the roof and sealed several ceiling areas.  He applied two coats of paint to all the trim and one coat to the ceilings.  I had decided to put paper on the walls again, so did not have him paint the walls.  Mr. Moore did a terrific job of removing all the paper and painting.  What a difference a few coats of good paint can do for a room.  All of his efforts were worth the $750 it cost.
We hope to do some serious renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms and plan on having Mr. Moore do the work some time next year.

When my husband and I decided to have our kitchen cabinets painted we knew this was a job we did not want to tackle ourselves. After reading positive reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Moore Custom Contracting.  I was impressed by Mr. Moore's professionalism on the phone and the good questions he asked about the project (none of the other contractors I contacted asked me questions like that). We set up an appointment for him to come and give an estimate and he arrived on time.  As he listened to what we wanted he made  additional suggestions that I had not thought of.  I appreciated his attention to the decorating style in our kitchen and he wanted the cabinets to reflect that style. All of these things played a big factor in our deciding to hire Moore Custom Contracting.
Before starting the project, Mr. Moore took the time to do one cabinet drawer first to make sure we both would like the color and distressing he would be doing.  The project started on time and was completed very close to the estimated time. He always picked up after himself at the end of each workday.   His work was excellent and his attention to detail was impeccable.  He treated the project as if  he was doing it for his own home. It was easy to see that Mr. Moore loves his work. I would use Moore Custom Contracting again in a heartbeat.

I am putting my house on the market shortly and needed to spruce it up.  I called Moore Custom Contracting to give me an estimate to paint all walls and baseboards plus the interior and exterior of both entry doors.  The interior consisted of 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, living room and kitchen with vaulted ceilings.  I was so impressed with Jonathan Moore's very reasonable estimate as well as his suggestions on what color and type of paint to choose that I decided to have him paint my home.Jonathan and his helper showed up on time and within 2 days had the entire interior of my home painted and repaired.  They were professional, hard working and very neat.  I have laminate floors in part of my home and was concerned about paint splatters and spills.  They did an excellent job in avoiding both. I was very pleased with Mr. Moore's neatness and work performance.  They arrived promptly as agreed and worked steadily completing the job quickly.I highly recommend Moore Custom Contracting whether you're looking to have painting done, home repairs or a house built.

I had purchased one gallon of paint matching from the paint store.  This was to get them started.
Trim work was not included in the painting job.  My choice.  
They arrived on time.
The needed furniture moving was completed with care and no complaints.
I was informed how much additional paint was needed and I went and purchased paint.
Painting was completed.  3 bedrooms, 1 bath, one living room wall and hall with vaulted ceiling. 
Installed curtain rods (5) and tiebacks with no complaints.  
I was VERY happy and was able to put up my drapes and see how nice the walls looked.

 

He showed up on time for a meeting.  He gave me an estimate later.  He finished the work within the schedule he proposed.  The final cost was not higher than the estimate.  The work performed was flawless and no mess was left behind.  Everything went exactly like I would want it too.  The price he offered was higher than others who looked at the same job.  However, I had doubts about the others upon meeting them.  So even though I wished to have spent less money, I am totally satisfied with this work and would definitely recommend him.

Jonathan is a highly qualified professional.  He is able to envision the final product so well, that he also has great suggestions as to how to complete an idea you might have.

Jonathan took our roofed carport and turned it into a sunroom, including raising the rafters into the existing roof to make the most of the space we already had.  He put in doors and windows and framed the one brick wall that we left untouched. 

 In addition, we had him overhaul our kitchen.  He used our current cabinets, so we didn't have to throw anything away, and refinished them.  He created new cabinets to add to our storage space and they matched incredibly well.  He removed our soffit in the kitchen and replaced it with more cabinets that he made.  He also refurbished our stove vent from the 1950s so that we didn't have to buy a new one.

He increased the doorspace from the kitchen to the sunroom to a large opening (over double the previous doorsize) and finished it off with wonderful wood edging.

He put in wood flooring throughout the sunroom and kitchen.

He also painted all of the exterior of our house that was non-brick.

Previously (a year or two ago) we had Jonathan finish up half of our basement.
