About a week buying a dishwasher from HH Gregg and having it installed by them, we noticed it was leaking and had warped our laminate flooring due to the water. After their installation crew came in and acknowledged that they had not correctly hooked up the water hose, I tried to get HH Gregg to take responsibility for my ruined floor. HH Gregg completely denied any responsibility and told me I had to deal with their installers, who were not affiliated with the store. I informed them that I paid HH Gregg for the installation and since they chose to sub-contract it, it was their responsibility to make it right one way or another. At no time did anyone from the Hamburg HH Gregg store assist me with the situation or try to make it right, they simply didn't care. Due to HH Gregg's lack of concern, I had to get my own home owner's insurance involved to get the repair process started which involved the removal of my entire kitchen floor and some drywall near the dishwasher. Months later, my insurance was eventually reimbursed by HH Gregg's insurance or that of their contractor; however that was after my insurance company had to threaten legal action. For someone who had previously done a considerable amount of business with HH Gregg, I will never do business with them again.

I bought my mattress set in the middle of the week, that weekend they came on sale. I took my receipt back in and they refunded the difference without any questions. They just thank me for my purchasing from hhgregg. I bought a television and a wall mount. I ended up not needing the wall mount. They took it back without question and without a "restocking fee". Last, I bought a LG washer with the extended warranty. They delivered it on time and installed it correctly. The extended warranty has been used twice. An electrical storm blew the computer system out. It was repaired for $0.00. Today, the drum seal had developed a small hole. It was repaired for $0.00. I have never had to justify/appeal for the extended warranty services to be paid. These two repairs would have been almost the same as the washer was when it was new.

This was a terrible experience. They sold my purchases to another consumer after I had begun making payments. They then tried to push floor models off on me (without any additional discounts) rather than being honest about the fact that the updated line up was about to be released. Rather than offering me the newer model -- because they sold out of the model I purchased -- they were dishonest and tried to push off old floor sock on me. On top of that they told me that this was all my fault for not having taken delivery immediately. After the fact the sales staff apologized multiple times and explained that this was common practice, they were forced into this practice.

Description of Work: This was supposed to be a refrigerator repair on a service contract. The dispatcher gave us a five hour window. The technician showed up at a time we told them we would not be there. He left a note. I called to reschedule. The operator told me that since no one was home to let in the tech, we would have to wait a week for another appointment. Another operator told me that since no one was home when the tech arrived we were not eligible to use another repair service. The customer service reps were rude and argumentative on the phone. At that point I decided to have an independent appliance repair man (one rated very highly by Angie's List) perform the service and pay for it. I have done this and my refrigerator is now functioning well. I will not have anything further to do with service contracts in general or HH Gregg in particular.

The salesman here was very nice to deal with. He was just fine, not pushy or anything. The installation guy however, needed some experience. The prices were excellent. I even upgraded my washer and dryer. The price I paid did not include the television either. I just was not very happy with the installation. Everything else was fine. I probably would not go back just because I can get the same pricing and products locally.
