I called three companies to replace a window that was not working. one company never called back, one company said that they had a three window minimum, Gilkey called me back that day and came out and gave me an estimate the next day, they ordered the window the same day as the estimate and installed it 4 days later. Gilkey did a great job and were very fair with the price.

They did really well, but the sill has gone bad on some of the windows and they are in the process of going to replace them. We were satisfied with the price that we paid. We were satisfied with the outcome. When I called back, I have not got the windows yet, but they had everything on file and they said that they would be made and then they will call and replace them.

We saw the Gilkey booth at the Home and Garden show and set up an estimate. All parts of the estimate were done professionally. We chose to go with another company due to the cost effectiveness of the other company for our individual situation. However we were very impressed with Gilkey as well.

I found them very professional. They came in, gave me an estimate and set up a schedule. There was some wait time for proper windows to be manufactured and the windows arrived well within the time that I had been told it would take for it to be manufactured. They scheduled the installation and arrived promptly the day of installation. They put the windows in with a minimum of frustration and bother. They also cleaned up properly and left. The price was exactly on the estimate so I was very pleased with their performance. If asked I would certainly recommend them and based on my experience I had got estimates from 2 or 3 other providers here and I found them to less straight forward. They gave me a price which was considerably less than some of the others and did the job very well.

It took awhile for the windows to arrive I had to call several timesthe windows came about a month late , but the quality and the workmanship was good

They did a good job. They took longer to finish the job than the time they promised. The windows are very good. They are energy efficient. They did appointments to come and came on time. I would use them in the future.

I was hoping to receive another quote, but unfortunately, I was not called.

When I was getting quotes, I liked this company's staff much better. Other places seemed like they were trying to swindle me, and this company's staff felt much more honest to me. Their quotes were about 1,500 to 2,000 cheaper than another company that gave me a quote, for an almost identical product. The one bad thing about Gilkey was that it took forever to get the windows installed. I entered contract on September 30 and the installation wasn't done until the end of December. I think this had a lot to do with high demand due to the tax rebate expiring at the end of the year, but still it was a long time to wait. The staff was very apologetic and kept in contact, touching base every few weeks and returning my calls within a day or two when I would call to check the status. The windows were actually manufactured very quickly, but I don't think they had enough staff to install all their orders. The installation went great. A guy came the evening before to tape plastic up inside the house on all of the windows. The next day the window installation was done by 2 or 3 in the afternoon (it was done when I got home from work at 4:00). They did a great job on the finishing touches both inside and out. They left absolutely no mess either. Overall, I had a good experience. Their customer service was good, the warranty on their windows is about as good as you can find, and I haven't had any problems with the windows since they were installed. You can probably get a cheaper window somewhere else, but probably not with the same quality or finished result. **** It is a year later now. I was curious to see how much I have saved from the previous year's bills. After some calculations on my bills, on average I've paid 30% less on my gas and electric bills since having the windows installed. I'm very pleased!

We got several estimates and we liked them. They were cheaper than the others. The technicians were really clean too.

I walked into their store. They were low-key, no-pressure sales but knowledgeable and informative. The salesman knew about his competitors and how he stacked up. I came back with my wife and we picked colors and signed up, paying 1/3 down. The price was better than Champion by far, and they didn't have 20 different sales tactics to use all kinds of ridiculous discounts; Champion offered me a 5% discount for putting up a yard sign for 6 months after the work was complete!. Another Gilkey guy came by in a week or two to measure all the windows and confirm which color trim went where. Unfortunately, it then took 2 months for the windows to be manufactured. They sent a nice letter explaining that the factory was backed up due to the energy tax credit. They called a week prior to installation to agree on a day, and they called the night before installation to confirm. The measuring guy came out with the work crew and confirmed everything again. The 3-man installation crew was amazing. They worked around my having cats trapped in 2 separate rooms - they finished all the other windows and then let me rearrange cats. They tore out the windows from the outside, so little debris came inside. While the tearout process was a little more violent than I imagined, the crew was fast and professional. All windows were removed, replaced, wrapped in aluminum trim, caulked and cleaned up in 2 hours and 50 minutes. The windows look great, and the house is quieter and warmer than it ever was. The crew cleaned up OK, but I found about a bucket full of loose screws, trim cuttings, and demolition debris afterwards; I've seen worse, but I've seen better. Professional from start to finish. Good price. Outstanding installation. Good product.

They were very nice and cleaned up after themselves. I feel like I got good quality at a very reasonable price.

We had eleven windows replaced. The patio door they were supposed to install was damaged. The company told us about the damage to the door. We still have not had the door installed. I have had to take the initiative to find out when the door will be installed, this is a little disappointing. However, the quality and the prices are excellent. Without the issues with the door it would have perfect.

1st order of 25 windows, Cost: 13,000. Did not call when windows arrived in warehouse (1-2 weeks later). Screens on one window damaged on delivery. Response to replace was not professional. Wanted to order additional half round transoms. Had trouble sizing and ordering appropriate replacements. We were led to believe that he ordered windows but unfortunately they were not ordered and we found out three weeks later. Job delayed as a result. Did not respond to calls and e-mails or over a week.
