Fayette Heating & Air || H20 Maestro

The attic unit of my HVAC system was 22 years old. It finally failed about 5 days before I was having a large family get together. I contacted Fayette Heating and air because they advertised worked weekends at same charge. Initially I was annoyed I needed to join the Comfey Club to get priority service, but I have ended up being very pleased with the club program and have even renewed it for another year. All of the repair people I have dealt with have been personable and professional. I saw a review on the pricing that indicated higher than average. I estimate home repairs in my job and confirmed the pricing was within the market price for the area. I feel it can be done cheaper, but the service and quality of people in my home are important to me. As part of the club, I recently had a plumbing review. With my home being 22 years old, I know I am getting close or beyond the life expectancy of many plumbing parts. They gave me an extremely detailed description of what they can do to update some items, exact pricing , etc. It wasn’t a scare tactic approach, but things I assumed would need to be done and as a person who travels for my job, I do worry about leaks occurring while I am out of town.

Entire job was done on time and professionally done.

Multiple Issues and Lack of Follow Up

We're on they're monthly plan. They don't charge you anything, I pay monthly and they come out twice a year. I have paid them a fortune over the years.

They offer an discount if you buy their service. They will give you a discount if you need repair service. They are an reasonable priced company. They call ahead and let me know they are coming.

Great job. Completed in a timely manner and happy with their work.

I am a member of their club which is $120 a year. It includes specials, maintenance and preferential treatment. I think they are on the pricey side. We've been using them for awhile. They are not the cheapest company out there but they are very good. If you join their Comfy Club you get additional perks. Job took about a half and hour. The workers are professional and pleasant.

They come out twice a year and make sure everything is good and change the filters.

The project was handled efficiently, and the actual installation was less than one day. A 3 ton AC replaced the old 2.5 and so far has provided good and responsive cooling during our spring with several 90+ days.

I just had a new unit put in. They're probably a little bit higher but the reason I went with them is because they have a great service contract when we get ready to have that. He gave it to me free for a while because it's a new unit. They're very conscientious, they're well know, they're well respected in the area; hometown people. They just have a good reputation. I compared 4 different people. Some of them, I couldn't even get to come to give me the estimate. Four weeks is a little bit to have an estimate when your air conditioning is out. They put it in in two days. They have an "A" so far, but I haven't had the unit that long for my personal experience, but I have friends that recommended them highly. I've only had this one experience with them.

The changing of the compressor went well. However, had a leak in the furnace in the house. That was an additional leak which was $817! I also had a new thermostat installed to cut energy costs. The only problem was when prices quoted it would change with the person you talked to. When I paid my bill the company attempted to pad the bill by an additional $250 dollars. I told them it was either 817 or 876 dollars. I pad the additional cost. I will use them but only under my supervision and make sure they do the work requested. Caveat Emptor!

They did a thorough job and made a small repair. They left the area good. It took them an hour to complete the work.

So, I had another company, highly rated on Angies list, come out and give me a second opinion. Condenser and fan motor were operating within recommended limits; not drawing too much power or overheating. The solenoid didn't need to be replaced.... but the humidifier wasn't working because it had been wired incorrectly. The new tech noticed this right away; and quickly fixed the wiring... and after realizing a hose was leaking water, replaced it. Shouldn't the routine maintenance check have picked up on this? The Contactor switch was aging (it's 9 years old), so we went ahead and replaced that. That's the one thing Fayette Heating and Air got right. Bottom line, the repairs cost me $269 from the other, very honest provider. I guess there's no such thing as a free maintenance check, if they are going to recommend $1000's worth of unnecessary repairs. Buyer Beware

They did a really good job. I will use them again. The cost was reasonable.

They have always come out when we needed them except for their emergency service and I am not too happy about that. I had heating problems over the holidays and they did not come out like we expected them to. I am looking around to find someone else who will come out quicker. They did not have enough people working on the holidays so people did not come out on time.

We've used them for years and have always had fabulous service in the past. This time when we called them out the first guy that came out told it was a very expensive part that went out and we needed to purchase a whole new system. I told him we need to rethink that because we just bought the system from them within the past year. Then he came back and said well maybe it's this, this and this. So he ended up replacing the fan. It went out the next day. So they sent another guy out. Turned out it wasn't the fan either. It was from where our mowers had blown grass into the outside unit and all the coils needed to be cleaned. So we paid $600 for a fan we very well may not have needed. Then we have to pay an additional $400 for the coils to be cleaned. We actually had to pay two service call fees. We shouldn't have had to pay those, but we did. I would possibly use them again. If the other company we use isn't available.

The staff was professional, knowledgeable and worked efficiently. They arrived when expected and cleaned up after themselves. Our sales person, JB, was exceedingly knowledgeable about what would work best in our very old home, which had never had A/C before.

They were professional, respectful, thorough, cleaned up and did an overall great job. From the salesman to the tech and apprentice, we were very happy with our experience.

Several issues over the years. Extended warranty kept me tied to them but now that that is over I'm looking for a replacement that is not Fayette Heating and Air and is not a Trane. Problems literally started from day one. After they installed the unit and left, the air handler started leaking water on the floor due to a crack on a plastic water pan. After that was fixed water was still leaking because they didn't remove a plug so water had nowhere to go but through the furnace to the floor. Had other warranty issues and I realized I'd better buy an extended warranty. Extended warranty just ran out this summer and they just found a $1000 furnace issue in the fall Checkout. Furnace hasn't been needed since before the warranty ran out so it was likely an issue while still in warranty but they won't cover it even though its close and was probably bad at the end of the period. Don't count on Fayette Heating and Air to be an advocate for their customers with Trane, and get a good belly laugh the next time you hear "nothing stops a Trane". Don't make my mistake! Run as far and fast as you can from both Fayette Heating and Air and also Trane, no matter who is selling it.

We pay membership once a year. We did call them and they came out. They have always done a good job. We bought our air conditioner from them.

First, this was the third time in as many months they came out to repair this unit. Their technicians seem to be knowledgeable, are definitely friendly and try to be helpful. Their customer support is wonderful. The Customer Service Rep Marty does the very best job he can do for you under the circumstances. Unfortunately he doesn't have much to work with when it comes to Fayette's policies. For that reason I will no longer be using them although I have been a customer for many years. Their monthly fee based VIP customer service was sold to us under the idea that the money we paid each month would be used toward repairs. Sounded like a great deal until we found out, after several years of paying these monthly premiums, that the money used toward repairs was only the case for the first time used. That was a shocker and was not explained well at all. I felt like they had taken advantage of me, the customer (unclear policy). One of their techs also referenced that they wanted him to always charge over $100 for each call, although he didn't particularly like that policy (bad policy). To top it off they charge exorbitant rates for parts and this has been true throughout our relationship with them. My recent example is a $575.00 part that I found on line for $15 (the lowest) to $170.00 (the highest). They charged me $575 for a tiny circuit board 3" by 3". That was the last straw. I won't be back. Buyer beware. The people who work for Fayette and meet with customers are great, but unethical policies of the organization hamstring personnel. I understand mark-ups on parts supplied and don't mind a fair mark-up for a job well done. But charging me more than ten times the cost?! It may not be illegal but is certainly unethical in my book.

Another totally complete and professional job by Jeremy. Not only found the problem, but was convinced that something else actually caused the problem and he kept looking until he found it. It would have been the easy way out to simply fix the motor when he found it hot ant leaking oil, but he went the extra mile to find what took out the motor. So glad I'm a Comfy Club Member

Service was excellent. They came late in the evening with no overtime charge. Technician was extremely good about keeping booties on so as not to get the floor dirty. he was also very conscious of our cost and gave us multiple options.

They installed the unit a couple of years ago. We belong to their comfy club so they come out twice a year for maintenance. They are always punctual and professional. We had a pan replaced but they took it out of the money we had in the club so it didn't cost anything. They are a little high, but for the service and not having to worry if they'll actually show up its worth it.

I was pleased with my dealings with Fayette Heating and Air. It was recommended by a neighbor. Kevin Morris made a home visit, explained the various options, and gave me an estimate. He and several other professionals did the installation. So far, we've not had to use the generator, but Kevin demonstrated how it will work.
