The temp in my house was 87. I turned off my A/C, and called Fayette Heating and Air. After the operator huffing on the phone, telling me 87 is not that bad , I told her that it did not matter how much it cost, as long my A/C was fixed. The woman then sighed and said 45 minutes plus I had to pay overtime. 85 minutes later, a very rude repairman arrived. By now, it was 90 in my house. The man reminded me that I was paying overtime as he barged in my house. He slammed my front door, and you have to try very hard to shut my front door, much less slam it. After an hour of taking my A/C unit apart, spraying it with a hose, he announced nothing was wrong. I asked when it might be cooler in my house, he replied, maybe tomorrow night, you might want to go somewhere else tonight. Two days later, my A/C still did not work. I called another A/C company to look at my A/C, to which he replied you are almost out of Freon. As soon as he put in the Freon, my house immediately got cooler.

Had a competitive quote, explained the pros and cons of the furnaces available. Professional.

A service person performed my annual Fall heating inspection and cleaning, indicated that all was well (verbally and in writing on the invoice), and left. On the same day, my furnace blower began operating erratically. The service person returned promptly, declared that the furnace needed "additional cleaning", performed the work and left me with a $200+ bill for labor. Once again, the furnace blower operated erratically. An emergency service call on a Sunday yielded yet another diagnosis; a faulty roll out limit switch. The part was ordered and installed 2 days later at a cost of over $300. I checked on the retail cost of the part; $96. I was charged $150 for it, and that's AFTER a supposed 10% discount I was entitled to as a part of my service contract. As a result of intervention by the local Better Business Bureau, the company has offered to drop the lesser of the two bills, but refuses to terminate my service contract and refund the balance of the annual $150 charge.
