Description of Work: Fayette Heating and Air is installing a whole-house generator for me. They were highly recommended to me by someone else who has such a generator. I have consulted with them twice in advance of the installation, which I expect to happen in the next couple of weeks.

Description of Work: I had member ship with Fayette heating to check out my unit in the spring and fall it just got were they did't have time to do it they keep asking for the payment every year,I quite hem this year but they have not yet return my year fee I guest I will have to right it off as a loss I will try a nother heating and cooling give them try,and when they did come they didn't do very much for 120.00 a year I did ask for my money back

Description of Work: It was a free air conditioning cleaning provided by Ky Utilities. They tried to get me to buy a contract and also suggested I replace all the parts on my outside unit. Then tried to get me to pay for the service even though it was provided by Ky Utilities. I was glad when he left and I'll never call them again for anything.

Description of Work: Tech gave us an estimate to install a whole house generator. Maybe out of our budget. May not need so much resource. Need to find lower cost or alternative. |May or may not use this vendor. |Did a great job on what we asked for.

Description of Work: Repaired a leaking pipe in my air-conditioning system. The repair person was extremely professional and courteous. I signed up for the premium service based on that experience.

Description of Work: After requesting services over the weekend, they showed up bright and early on Monday morning. They were very professional and took care of our AC problem very quickly. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: My AC wasn't blowing cool air, although it was running. I called to schedule a service call and the representative was great! She was able to accommodate my schedule and call me before they arrived so I could drive home to meet the tech. Terry, the technician was super punctual, so nice and patient - he really took time to explain everything before starting the work. They even called to check on me the next day - be sure everything was working and I was happy! Fayette Heating & Air is a great company! I highly recommend.

Description of Work: I spent thousands of bucks trying to get my one year old heat pump working. Four different companies could not fix he problem. Fayette replaced the Goodman with an Amana and the problems were solved.

Description of Work: Two years ago they did complete air duct cleaning and installed a UV filter. Recently when I asked them to come out and check the UV system as the air smelled dirty unless the fan was actually running. First person to arrive noted that we had a draft coming from under the crawl space and that a window was opened back in the crawlspace. He also said tht the opening to crawlspace should be closed up as the air was being drawn from there. First time anyone had said this - the whole purpose of the work was to provide cleaner air. Even if they didn't do this type of work you would think someone would have said something. This window had to have been opened by one of their technicians when they were under there 2 years ago - we know it was closed prior. Then he said that we would need a new furnace due to cracks he found, but would have another technician with better equipment come and check it more thoroughly. Second guy noted same thing - we needed a new furnace . I asked about the urgency of the matter and if he thought we may have carbon monoxide excaping (we do have the detectors but wondered if they had way of detecting even smaller amts.) He wanted to know if I had smelled anything. I told him to my knowledge carbon monoxide didn't have an odor - he stammered and said of course he knew that. He then went on to say it would be a very good idea to also update the AC (something about the coils being damaged with the new heating system being added. ..I was livid about the open window and spoke with their customer service - their plan was to offer me a incredible savings on a new unit. When they did give me the estimate it was higher than any other bid I had received - really doing me a favor. Didn't really matter as I had learned other deceptive practices of this company - and wouldn't use them for anything ever. I became very upset with customer service and she hung up on me after I told her I would be going to every review site to post my experience. Also my other two bids said there was no reason replace the AC unit.

Description of Work: They had our service contract for years, one day a tech went upstairsito check our furnace, returned and said there was a tear in the metal inside the furnace. He said the furnace should be replaced. We wanted a second est, so we called a competitor. They could find no tear. Fayette Heating tech came back out with a camera we told him what we had learned, he said he would go upstairs and take a photo of the tear. I couldn't go up because of back problerms. He came back down with a photo he said was the metal tear in my furnace. He was very sure we needed to replace the unit. We bid it out and a competitor ended up putting in a new unit as their price was lower. When they got it back to the shop they took it a part and found no tear. I replaced a furnace that did not need replacing. Get a second opinion before you make a large expenditure with Fayette Heating.
