1/29/15 They scheduled the estimate and appointment very quickly and were very punctual. Estimate was given to me on the spot and appointment was made very quickly. The installation of the gas line was done well. I have no complaints about their plumbing capabilities and would use them again for plumbing issues. However, there were a few problems. The first problem is where the gas line was installed. I specifically asked the plumber to install the gas line and shut off on the left hand side of the fireplace, so it would be more out of sight. The plumber ignored my request and installed it on the right side. This is not a huge problem, but became bigger with my second issue. The plumber made a large hole (24" x 24" square) in my drywall and did not repair it or let me know that he would not be repairing it before the hole was made. He did say "I will have to cut into the drywall but it will be easy to sand it down to make it look like new". He did not say that I (or someone else I would have to hire) would be the one repairing the hole. I was under the assumption that he (or his company) would be repairing it. Now I am stuck with a large hole in my wall and have to find a way to repair it. The communication could have been much better and I will have to be super-specific about what they are doing before I agree to have work done with them again. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Updated 2/26/14 After I submitted my first review, a representative from the company contacted me almost immediately and wanted to fix the problem. They sent out someone to fix the drywall and could not have been more helpful. They did a great job fixing the wall and I could not be more impressed with their improved customer service. I would definitely recommend them to others.

He came in the morning to preview installation requirements. Came back with the unit, drained old heater, adjusted the footing where unit was to be installed. Very little involvement was required by me. Checked water flow; told of temperature settings. Then left.

Called and scheduled an appointment for that afternoon. Chris came and removed a 12 inch by 12 inch piece of drywall to get to a leaky copper pipe. He replaced the section of the pipe that was damaged and reattached the drywall. Chris was very pofessional and completed the entire repair in an hour. Will use Dauenhauer again in the future and will ask for Chris when we do so.

The person who was sent was very nice, courteous and professional. He was quick and did a very good job. He was also very conscientious to not leave any mess. I appreciated that. I have now used Dauenhauer Plumbing twice and will use them again.

I called and set up an appointment with Dauenhauer Plumbing over the phone, and they scheduled service for the same day. I had already taken the toilet off, cleaned off the wax and cleaned up the area, and removed what could be removed of the broken flange. Mark put a solid metal flange over top and mounted the flange into the concrete floor so that it will not come loose. He then installed a standard wax ring and installed the toilet onto the floor, tightened it down, and made sure it flushed. The basic wax ring that was installed ended up getting dislodged due to some movement of the toilet, so it started leaking, but I was able to remedy that myself with a waxless ring and some shimming of the toilet to ensure it seated completely. I would like to provide an update after a couple of weeks. The metal flange mounted over top of the old plastic one was attached to the concrete in mount points that were not very load bearing, so the screws that attach the toilet to the flange held firm, but the metal flange just bent and the toilet became very wobbly. I first though it was just the toilet as the plumber told me to keep tightening the bolts since it would settle and may become wobbly, but it became so bad I took it off to reseat it and saw the metal flange was now bent. As I am very limited on time, I went ahead and fixed it myself by going to Lowes and purchasing tapcon concrete screws and adding 4 screws in the other screw holes on the metal flange that were much more load bearing. I also had to use the dremel to remove parts of the plastic flange and seal between the flanges with silicone for additional protection. After 2 weeks of use with my corrections I have now made it a very solid installation.

The plumber was very cordial. It actually just took him a few minutes to do the job. Apparently, the job was done well, because we are having not problem with the new dishwasher.

All new plumbing, installing rough ins on shower, tub, sinks, tacking in to the plumbing going to basement and adjacent bathroom. superb advice for the remainder of our bath suite project. Professional all the way. Yet, very personable. called when coming, and tailored to our timetable, gave written estimate and even the angies disc that was on their website!

I called them to schedule an appointment to have an exterior spigot pipe repaired. They scheduled an afternoon appointment for the next day and I was very pleased that they were willing to come so quickly. The repairman was supposed to be here between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. I took the afternoon off from work, and waited all day for them but no one showed up. When 4:00 rolled around I called to see if there was a problem. They could not find my address in their system, nor could they find where they had scheduled an appointment for me. There didn't seem to be any concern on their part, and no apology was offered. I asked to speak with a manager. She was very nice and apologetic, but confirmed that there was no record of my appointment in their system. I plan to contact another plumber to complete the work.

We noticed a water leak in the basement and called several plumbing contractors to come evaluate and fix the problem. Most were too busy and would only agree to put us on a waiting list in case they has a cancellation. Dauenhauer responded within a few hours and came late in the afternoon to assess the problem. The technician was very polite and professional. He effectively analyzed the problem and charged a very reasonable rate for making an emergency call. I will certainly them in the future.

This is the first experience I've had with a professional plumber and I think the bar is now set high, though I don't see me calling anyone else as long as I'm in an area serviced by Dauenhauer Plumbing. From the initial phone call, to the follow up call from the technician when the job was completed, everything all along the way was consistent, punctual, professional and clearly explained - there were no surprises. The receptionist who answered the phone was polite, accommodating and very clear with what the process would look like. The technician arrived on time and assessed the situation and gave us an estimate, we agreed, he (Mark) went to work removing all of the old pieces, developed a parts list and went to get the pieces needed. He returned promptly and proceeded to put everything back together. Once together he very fully tested everything, gave me incredibly detailed instructions and guidance and assured me everything was 100%, which it was. Though he said if there is ever a problem, to let him know morning, noon or night and he'll take care of us right away. It reminded me of a time not long ago when this is how things were done, in today's age it was a huge relief just to find an honest and honorable plumber in a new area.

The plumbers did a fine job. They were professional, prompt, and cheaper than some of the other plumbers we contacted. No negative issues to mention.

Clear and accurate contract before work started. They were quick with repairs. I had to call them back because first team did not extend the drains to point described in contract.

Everytime we ran our dishwasher water would leak from our pipes under our kitchen sink. We would have to shut off the valve leading to the dishwasher as soon as the cycle was through or have water leak out of it. This has been going on for some time now. Mark assessed and fixed the problem. He was very knowledgeable, quick and even asked if we had any other problems in the house he could take care of! We also were able to use not one but two coupons printed off their website, which saved us $70.00! To top things off, we've used the dishwasher at least 3 times now and it has not leaked once!!

They inspected, prepared and replaced our water heater within hours of making the call. Great service, professional manner and professional results!
