Comfort Heating & Air

It went very well. We had just recently had a new system and half of another system put in about a month prior by another service provider. The other provider did not charge one unit properly with refrigerant and did not have a valve changed on the inside of the house when the outside unit was changed. Comfort was able to come to our house within a couple of days and diagnose the problem very quickly. They were able to make the proper repairs and got our units working properly again. They were very professional, very clean, and let us know what the cost would be to make the repairs before the actual repair. J.R. was our service provider and even called back a couple of times to make sure everything was working properly. At one point he came back to the house to tweak the system to get it working completely right. We would definitely use Comfort Heating and Air again and recommend them to anyone.

The team of Alex, Matt, and Leaman were excellent. They were thorough and neat during the installation process. In difficult conditions, they did a great job, working extra hours to get the job completed.

Adam and Quan worked on Saturday in the rain and had to do extra work because the furnace I wanted wouldn't fit in the space that I had so they went back and got a furnace that would fit. Everything works well and they cleaned the mess up too!

I can't say enough good things about this company. Ryan Woodall, Comfort Advisor, spent at least an hour going over all the facets of replacing a 20 year old AC and gas furnace. He was very patient, even when I asked him to write up another quote for a lower SEER unit. The 3-man installation team arrived just a couple of days later and worked very quietly, efficiently and neatly - and were in an out in just 4 hours - on a Saturday! Later that night I had a question and a supervisor called me promptly, answered my questions thoroughly and reassuringly. The next day a different rep called to make sure I was satisfied. Excellent customer service, from start to finish. They all work hard for their high ratings and they deserve every star. The unit itself is efficient and works quickly and quietly. No regrets.

Overall the process went incredibly smooth. I am a new homeowner and in general a really detail-oriented person. I did not want to wait until our 14 year old system went down to make a decision on a new HVAC and risk feeling rushed and panicked about this big decision. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with Mike Buckley, the owner, asking all kinds of questions about financing, warranties, SEER ratings, etc. He came out that same day to look at the system and, after laying out all the options, I decided to opt for a payment plan and get the most energy efficient model available. I feel really good about this decision and Robert and Ryan (our install crew) were wonderful. They were so patient with my crazy jack russell who feels the need to bark at EVERYTHING and were great about explaining to me what they did and how the new system worked. They were incredibly professional and thorough, even working in the rain to install the outdoor unit on time. Finally- Comfort let me know about an energy rebate program that I didn't know anything about--saving me an additional $400. Overall- i'm always willing to pay a little more if it means supporting a company I like and that I trust.

3/27/18 Jonathan Hudnall came to do a spring check up, very satisfied with his work, arrived on time did an excellent job and my dogs loved him!

I phoned Comfort on Monday morning, March 5 for an estimate to replace the entire HVAC unit. I had been told by another company that my 9 year old furnace should be replaced due to costly damage. Knowing that an HVAC system should last well over 9 years, I called several companies for an estimate. Chase from Comfort came out that same afternoon. He took a multitude of pictures. My air conditioner was over 30 years old so I knew that it needed to be replaced. Chase sat down with me and went over all his photos. He showed me that the furnace did not need to be replaced and showed me what they could do to improve it's efficiency. He gave me a very reasonable estimate on improving the furnace and replacing the Air Conditioner. My husband had a day off that Wednesday so I ask Chase if Comfort could do the work then. He agreed. Chase said that Nick would be out between 8 and 8:30 on the 7th. Nick and Q showed up at exactly 8. Chase told me that the work would take between 5 and 7 hours. The work took 6 1/2 hours. Nick and Q were very respectful of our home. After Nick introduced himself they got to work and I did not see them and barely heard them until the work was done. Nick came in to install the Nest thermostat and fire/carbon monoxide combination Nest unit. Nick clearly went through how to use the thermostat and showed me how to download the app. He was very good at answering all our questions and I understood the thermostat completely before he left. The cost was the exact amount we agreed on. Chase, Nick and Q could not have been more professional. We will recommend them highly to anyone we know looking for a good HVAC company. Thanks guys!

Excellent, service tech Ray Wallace was very thorough and professional.

The unit worked great until the evening and I went back out to check the problem. Again, made one call, set up an appointment, and a tech came out and solved the problem in just a few short minutes. While he was there, he checked the unit over and did a few more things to make certain it wasn’t going to fail again. Overall a great job.

The service men (Quang and Nick) were sent out as soon as possible. They were extremely efficient, diligent, and very easy to work with. They were personable and honestly the most helpful service men I've ever dealt with. They spent an entire day installing the new gas furnace system in extremely low temperatures, then Quang came out the second day on his own and installed the AC system in less than four hours. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Over the years we have had so many problems with our old systems. We had finally had enough of it. After calling several local HVAC companies, Comfort Heating & Air had, by far, the best prices and warranty coverage. Our furnace went out on a Saturday morning, when it was 20 degrees outside. We called, they came out right away. Kevin diagnosed that we needed a new control board. We originally thought we would just replace that, but after talking and thinking we just decided to replace it all. We called Chase (sales) to let him know, on Saturday, they had their crew here first thing Monday morning to do the work. Robert and Ryan showed up on time, were very professional, and did an outstanding job. It took all day, but I didn't care, they did the job right. We now have reliable heat and were able to switch our old R-22 A/C unit out for the new kind. This will be a welcome change when the weather warms up. They offer a 10 year warranty. If anything breaks with the system, they replace the entire system and the 10 years start over. No one can beat that warranty coverage. Just outstanding. They will be the company we call in the future for any and every possible need for HVAC. Highly recommended.

Excellent service! J.R. came to the house to inspect our old units (we knew they were antiques). He made reasonable recommendations and presented prices on new units without overselling or making the hard pitch (which nobody likes). This was followed up by an install within just a few days by Leo and an incredible crew that were respectful and took the time needed to do the job right, not fast. Very happy with our new systems and the Nest thermostats. Cannot say enough good things; we are very happy.

The Installation crew, Robert, Ryan and Quan, did a top notch job. They were efficient, knowledgeable, hard working and very pleasant and professional. Ryan clearly explained operation of thermostat . The work areas were cleaned up and trash was hauled away. Total job was completed in one day and everything works great. Chase, Comfort Advisor, patiently explained the different models and features along with pricing information. He was available to answer all of our questions in a timely manner. Also very knowledgeable and professional. Strongly recommend.

I had a great experience! Jake was professional, and very honest about what needed to happen, and what could wait. After diagnosing, he came out the next day to complete the repair. He was timely, friendly, and provided a fair price.

Since my until was 21 years old, I decided it would be to my advantage to purchase a whole new outside unit and the condenser coils for the furnace (my furnace was just as old, but we both decided it was still in good shape and did not need replacing). My old Rheem was a 3 ton, probably 10 SEER, Freon based unit that had served me well. I was told that the new State law said that the lowest SEER unit that could now be installed was 14 and I opted for a more efficient 16 SEER one that ran $6,669 for both units, installation, & tax. I asked about discounts as an Angie's List, AAA, AARP member or military and I was offered a 5% discount for military. The unfortunate thing is that they could not come back to install the new unit for 3 days and my house was already up to 90+ degrees inside! When Kevin came back to install the new unit, it was actually a different model than what I had purchased, but it was an exact replacement for it. The unit was extremely quiet and ran great for about a week and then the compressor shut down for no apparent reason. I called and Kevin came right back out, checked the unit out but could not find anything wrong other than it was minimally under pressured. The unit ran for another few days and did the same thing on a Sunday. A different tech came out and also could not find any valid reason for the compressor to shut down unexpectedly. He had to cool the compressor down with a water hose to be able to work on it and determined that for some reason the compressor was getting so hot that it was shutting itself down but could not determine why it was happening. He was able to get the unit running again and said if it happened again they would most likely have to replace the unit. Well, the next day it shut down again and a different tech came out and he was not able to determine the exact cause either. He talked with his supervisor and they agreed that the unit was bad and needed to be replaced. Two different techs showed up within a half hour to replace the unit, which they did in under 2 hours with one that was the same model as I had originally purchased! Even though I had so much trouble with the original new unit, I was very pleased with Comfort Air's willingness to find the problem as quickly as possible and to replace the bad unit without any hassle. I was also very impressed with Kevin and all of the other technicians who came to try to determine the problem with the compressor and do what they could to get it running. I am crossing my fingers that this replacement will continue to function properly - so far it has, but it has only been one day since it was installed.

Ryan scheduled an appointment with me right away after I sent in an email to the company. He spent a lot of time explaining all my options. He was very patient and thorough in his presentation. 2 servicemen Chris & Leman showed up 2 days later to install my new A/C/heat pump/gas furnace. Both were very professional and knowledgeable.

We have used Comfort Heating and Air since moving to our home two years ago and have been pleased with the company's service. When our current heat pump system stopped cooling on a very hot Thursday last week, they responded within a few hours to our call, sending the Service Manager, Matt Mekus, since it was a time of high demand. Even though it was pretty obvious that our old compressor was burning out (it had to be cooled down with a water hose!), Matt worked for several hours to get it temporarily running again. He gave us detailed information about a replacement system and when we expressed dissatisfaction about the way our current system cooled and heated our house, he suggested changes in duct work to increase efficiency. The installation team, Sergey and Serhiy, arrived early on Monday morning, and, working quietly and efficiently, had the new system, complete with revised ductwork, installed by mid afternoon. They took the time to show us how the new system worked. We could definitely feel the difference in cooling in our house and slept for the first time that night without an auxiliary fan in our bedroom. We are extremely pleased with the work done.

Ray was the service technician. He was prompt and pleasant. Our unit is a 5 year old Bryant. Ray performed a service checklist on the furnace and A/C. He listened and answered all our questions. The service lasted 20 minutes. Everything checked out OK. The service was reasonably priced. We have been happy with Ray and Comfort Heating & Air over 3 years and we will continue to use them.
