About us

Chore Chick is the creation of Amy Schumacher. Like many other entrepreneurs, Amy was working in a job that she wasn’t sure was really “her” and had been doing side projects for extra money. As the “side projects” became more and more frequent, she decided to turn her side business into a full-fledged endeavor. Amy comes from Wisconsin originally and attributes her current breadth of capabilities to growing up working on a dairy farm. She and her two brothers were responsible for fixing, maintaining, and ensuring that the farm was in working order. Amy has always juggled multiple projects and roles, so creating “Chore Chick” was a logical step. Chore Chick was founded on the ideals of providing the best customer service possible while providing the best service possible. A small business run by the owner with part-time help. Daily operations from 8am to 6pm Monday through Friday.

Very good service from start to finish. We will continue to use this service for many items. Highly recommended!

Met for estimating purposes one day. Came to begin work within several days and completed within days. I didn't need it done all at once. Chore Chick is both efficient and knowledgeable about perennial handling. Has large enough truck, trailer and equipment to do mulching quite efficiently. Very nicely done and cleans up walks and other areas afterwards.
Description of Work: Extensive flower beds needed cleanup and mulch applied. Chore Chick is great especially for maintenance of perennial beds, leaf removal and general garden clean up.

We had to move out of town while our house was on the market. After having less-than-prompt responses from several companies we contacted about maintaining the yard, we were thrilled with Amy's quick and professional response time. She went by the house within days of contact to give us an estimate for the work. Since then, I have been back into town a couple times, and the yard has been clean and tidy. I am very pleased with the work Amy did. In addition, her website and online billing system has made it a breeze to work with her. I will definitely be contacting Amy again the future for lawn and other handy work.

it went well. they arrived when they said they would, did the work in a timely manner. didn't even stop for breaks, even though it was very hot. it took them a couple of hours. they left the area clean and neat.

I was very happy with the company. I have a very large yard. I had called three different companies that I had found on Angieslist; one of them never showed up to give an estimate and another gave an estimate about what I have been paying. It took her a couple of days to get here, but she called me everyday to let me know that she was not able to come here. Her estimate was exactly what she charged.
