CHEMDRY OF KENTUCKY

Scheduling the appointment was easy. I was told to expect someone between 12 - 2pm. Around 1:45, the technician called to say he was running late and wouldn't be at my house until almost 3:00. I told him this wouldn't work because I had to pick kids up from school. the technician was at my house within 15 minutes. Though he was courteous and professional, the carpets don't really seem to be any cleaner than before. He used some sort of high-powered vacuum, but after he left I noticed there was still cat hair on my carpet. I was able to remove this cat hair with my not-so-high-powered vacuum quite easily. We have used Stanley Steemer in the past, and the carpet looked a lot cleaner (brighter, softer) for a lot longer than it did with Chem Dry. If I had to do it over again, I'd have gone back to Stanley Steemer instead of using ChemDry.

Employee arrived about an hour earlier than stated on the phone without calling. This was fine though because I was home for the day. I had already moved most of the furniture that needed to be moved and he said he would move the smaller things. I showed him the areas that needed to be cleaned and he asked if we wanted the stairs cleaned. I asked his professional opinion since we weren't sure if they needed it or not and he replied, "I don't really want to do them, but we have to offer it for $20 extra." I decided to have them done. He had a hard time setting up his machine and several times criticized the wiring of my house because he couldn't get the outside plug to work. After about 20 minutes or so he started cleaning and finished within an hour or so. He did tell me that the carpet would take longer to dry than the 1-2 hours that they normally say it takes since it had been raining and was humid. He then told me that since I had "cheap" carpet I should vacuum the next day to get all the loose threads up. The carpet dried in about 5 or 6 hours which was fine. I checked the furniture he was supposed to move around to clean under after he left and it was still dry underneath, so I guess he didn't move an oversized chair and some other things to clean under them which is frustrating. The employee also left without cleaning up the water (a significant puddle) that was left in my foyer from the connection of the hose to his truck. It has been about a week since the work was completed and some of the spots are lighter, but are still noticeable.

Chem Dry promptly arrived at the scheduled time for carpet cleaning -and this is a very big deal - since many do not arrive until 1 - 2 hours later. Both capable polite men, one the owner, Bill Allen, treated me in a professional manner and quickly began their cleaning of a rental townhouse. Finished promptly, wanted to know if I was pleased - will use again!!!

It went well, it took about two hours total. They said it would take less, and also that it would take less than three hours to dry. It took all day and some of the next day.
