The good: Ray and Connie are likeable. They worked hard and put in the hours (week) through the initial stages of the remodel. Ray was creative and capable; I'd give them 4.5 stars for skills, adaptability, and flexibility. Unfortunately, in the end, the job was not finished. Thankfully, I ignored their payment schedule and funded them on % of completion. I think that maybe it kept them coming back. With one task left; installing a glass partition which was the last 5% of the work, they have disappeared. For nearly two months, they haven't come back to finish. For much of that, they ghosted any communication. Texts and calls ignored. If they had at least come back in the last two weeks, I'd give them three stars. Now that I'm having to give up and go hire someone else to finish the job, it's down to two. They are worth more than one, but "buyer beware". Again, they have skills and are worthy of jobs because of that. But do not hire them unless you hold back at least 25% until the job is done... maybe 50%. I hate to leave this poor review, but they've left me no choice.
