Wife called on sunday when heat didn't work and I was out of town. Tech diagnosed heat exchanger in poor condition, we would need new circuit board, pressure switch, thermo limiter, and igniter tune up kit for $885. Advised we should probably replace unit and they could do it tomorrow. I get home to find he had diagnosed the wrong unit which was working fine until he serviced it - took him 45 minutes to get it running again and then put doors on backward so they would later fall off and cause unit to not operate. Had second provider come in next morning and fixed flame sensor on inoperative unit in ten minutes and we were back in business. I would advise all to read BBB reports on this contractor to get a sense of the recurring pattern.

On time, no mess, good price.

It went very well. He was here a long time and did a very good job. We did find out some more things about it and we are going to have him come back to do some more things.

It was easy to schedule an appointment and he even arrived five minutes before the time. I watched him while he was taking apart the furnace and checking things. He did things that other companies never did before in a tune up. There were no additional fees beyond the cost of the Big Deal. The technician was very nice and professional. He answered any questions that I may have had. He even provided me with a list of everything he completed when the job was finished. He did a nice job and cleaned up after himself. I was very pleased with the service.

The appointment time was between 12pm-3pm, the tech showed up after 4pm after I called the office twice, they didn?t care at all he was late, and no one called me to say hay we are running late. I showed him all three units one large and 2 smaller and pointed out where the furnaces were, one was in the attic which he did not check but claimed that unit was fine outside. He told me my two biggest units were about to die and needed immediate replacing, and that both were low on refrigerant and wanted my consent to fill them up at $135 per a pound and I declined. He gave me a couple crazy numbers for replacing my units and furnces of around 14K and said if I wanted to go through with it he would get me ?real? numbers! I told him I would like ?real? like numbers on the main unit, he discussed their financing options with told me he would call me back next day with prices. Never been called back, but they sure charged my card fast for the ?tuneups.? He even wrote on the invoice I declined to have anything fixed and noted other problems he didn?t even tell me about! He also left the heat turned way up on one side of the house and didn?t replace the furnace cover on one unit. He claimed to have been in the business 7 years, Feel bad for all those that have been ripped off! I was really, really scared and panicking this is not right to do to anyone!! Luckily I was smart enough to ask around and found out a near by neighbor was long time in the HVAC business. I told him what happened and he came out for free and checked out both units and showed me on the gauges each was fine as well. My units DID NOT need replacing and DID NOT need any refrigerant, he said they both would've been over filled if the tech had added any and it would not have had a good outcome. DO NOT USE BRYANT HEATING AND COOLING, THEIR SERVICE IS A SCAM! IF YOU USE THEM GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out okay. I feel like they charged me extra for the service that they had to do, because I had the deal. So, I was not overly impressed with it. I think they are way too expensive.

At the end of Fall 2010, they did a regular check to our furnace in the attic and crawling space. After spending about 15 minutes in the crawling space, the technician told us that he had to shut the gas off because it leaked. Then, he told us that we had to replace the unit and gave us a price quote for over $8,000.00 The next day, we called another Heating/Cooling to get a 2nd opinion. After checking for about 15 minutes, the technician told us that there was nothing wrong with our furnace. What he needed to do was to clean up, then turned it on again. The unit has been working great since.

We live an hour from Lexington so we called Bryant Heating and Cooling to go to a rental townhouse that we have in Lexington and see why our unit was not working properly. It was freezing up. The service provider called back on that same day (Friday) and said that it was a bad relay switch/board for the blower but that it would be Monday before he could give me a price on the part. He left a message on Monday saying that the PART was $460 and to call him if I wanted him to order the part. My husband and I thought that this amount seemed very steep so we called our local heating and cooling company and gave them the serial # and model # and part and asked them to give us a price on the part. They gave is a price of $18!!!! We were floored! They also told us that they would be glad to go the 1 hr drive to install it for a fraction of the cost that we had been quoted by Bryant. They told my husband that it was a very easy piece to replace and that he could probably do it himself in 10 minutes! We ordered the part for $18, and did it ourselves in 5 MINUTES! I called Bryant Heating and Cooling and wanted an explanation of the price quote. They could not give me one but told me that they would have someone call me. They had the technician call me. He explained to me that he had only been with Bryant for a couple of weeks but he explained that he has nothing to do with price quoting and couldn't explain that to me. I called back and asked for a manager. I was asked for more of an explanation of my complaint so that I could be transferred to the correct person. I explained AGAIN my reason for calling and she put me through to a manager. After once again explaining that I wanted an explanation of the price quote on the part, she said that she was not a manager in the pricing dept but did try to tell me that it was probably mostly labor for a "quality certified technician." Again, we were told $460 for just the part! There was no price given to us on the labor! I did ask why I could get a "quality certified technician" to do a service call for $60 when they had to investigate, etc to find the problem (which took much longer than 5 minutes) but a 5 minute fix could cost over $400? She had no answer! Finally, I got a call from another lady representing Bryant who said that they misquoted the price and that it was human error. She said that the part with labor should have been $225. She also said that she was glad that I called and very glad that I got a second opinion so that the mistake was caught! I do completely understand human error...what I do not understand is that it took 4 phone calls to figure out what they claim on their end was a simple mistake. My suggestion based on our experience would be to ALWAYS get a second opinion and another quote on parts and labor once you know the problem! Most companies will give you a free quote if they know the serial/model # of the unit and the part needed.

It was ok. I had no complaints. It’s a pretty big company and they deliver what they say they will. I think it’s typical for big companies for the crew to consist of one experienced technician and others more in training. I think they are reliable enough.

They were great. They came here on July 4, the hottest day of the year, and they worked all day until it was fixed properly. I found them polite and they cleaned up well after themselves. They worked so hard and I was very pleased.

Unfortunately, we have no choice but to give this service provider an "F". After our AC went out and doing our research on Angie's List, we chose Bryant because of the flexibility of their hours. We called and were told that they would that they would try to get someone out this evening between 8 and 9pm only to have them call back 20 minutes later and be told that they did not service our address, however, Winchester, KY is being listed in their service area and that is where we live. There are no restrictive disclaimers in regards to addresses, it just says Winchester. Needless to say, we are highly disappointed!

Replacing the a/c unit was a very smooth operation. I barely new they were there. The most painful part was writing the check! I'm glad I scheduled the maintenance call/ replacement early enough in the spring to beat the summer rush.

They were absolutely fabulous. They came over on Sunday, came over 12 hours notice, had the machine installed in like two hours and was out of my hair and it was a fantastic experience. They were punctual, professional and just everything. It was a good experience.

It helped to have the person setting up the call to get the information required to do the work on the initial visit.

Bryant Heating & Air Condioning was exceptional in every every area. The service man was honest and upfront and made no un-needed repairs.

They came out and checked the furance for tune up and routine maintainance. however, they did not clean the furnance which is what i really wanted and told them. they did not have equiptment and had to come out another day to clean. they cleaned it very well and i am satisfied with their service. only suggestion is to make sure they do everything they say and dont have to come out 2 times.

I was very satisfied with the work. They did the service on a Sunday. They were timely.

I called them for their routine check. I couldn't be here. My daughter was here, and she usually tells me everything. She didn't know enough information. When the guy left, he said he put three pounds of coolant in the system. I know better than that. I never had to have more than one pound. I never needed to have any more put in. Apparently, there's no leak. I sent them an email complaint, and never heard back. The guy just need some coolant for a project, and charged me for it.

They know what they’re supposed to do when they come. They’re uniformed and all the trucks are marked. We’ve had our share of the ones that don’t do a good job and the ones that do a good job I’ve had more than once. That’s why we use them. I wouldn't use him if he wasn't good. With the contract, it turns out to be about $40 per check-up. They have good communication and call and tell you when they're going to be there.

They were the most efficient units. It was a Carrier unit. They were prompt, professional, responsive, and thorough. They had to come back and fix something that was leaking and responded quickly to that. We had our entire duct work replaced.

I have had them out several times. I was not pleased when they were out here the first time because my unit stopped working one day after their technician was out to service my unit. I spoke with Bryant about this when they called to follow up; so they sent my money back and did not make me pay when I wasn't satisfied. So that was good. I will not use this company again in the future.
