Branch Out Tree Trimming LLC

This is a small company. They got back up when we had a day of bad weather, and then a worker called in. Work wasn't completed the day they said, but John made sure it was completed the next day, even though we told him he could re-schedule it for another time. They say they work 7 days a week and they mean it. If we had a concern, he was there with an answer.

John showed up same day I called for an estimate. His crew started work about 2 weeks later. Did an okay job on the tree removals, left a fair amount of cleanup for me to do. One of his climbers did a great job pruning, another did an absolutely terrible hack-job. My instructions did not get passed on from one day to the next - always having to explain what I needed done. Slow at times, as his crew has to load everything onto a trailer and haul off. Sometimes they'd come back the same day, sometimes the next. At any rate, the majority of the work was completed and I paid John the entire invoice. He still needed to cable and brace the split tree, which he promised to do the coming weekend. 8 weeks later, I have not seen John. He promised to come do the job 4-5 times and was a no show each time. I asked him to refund what I'd paid him to cable/brace the split tree... crickets. John owes me $150. It's budget tree work.. great price... but you definitely get what you pay for. To boot, split in tree has worsened to the point it will have to be removed soon (not by Branch Out!).

It seemed as though there were problems from the get go that were beyond their control. They had employees quit, equipment wouldn't work properly, etc. One worker wouldn't remove debris because he felt it was beneath him, (he said he cut down trees, not pick them up). Timelines were vague and were not adhered to when they were offered.

The trees were cut down and most of the debris was removed. Timeliness was not the best as several times they did not show up when they said they would. This was an annoyance. I paid the invoice before the job was completed. I felt I could trust John would complete the job. He did not. I still have large portions of the trunks laying in the areas where the trees were taken down. Communications with Branch Out after payment to get the work completed were either not returned or dates were given for completion but not honored.

Excellent. Free estimate. John, the owner/operator, offered to beat any other written estimate by 20%. The job was completed quickly. John and his crew were very professional and punctual. I worked, and have a degree in, landscape services, and was surprised at how reasonable his prices were. I know most tree services would have charged about double Branch Out/John's price.
