If you want a conscientious, attention-to-detail oriented, problem solving concrete contractor then Gary and American Pride should be your first and only choice. He proved to be exceedingly flexible as our project expanded from correcting a drainage issue and replacing a substandard patio to include replacing the driveway and was able to overcome the myriad of obstacles and unique situations that presented themselves as the project progressed. He patiently collaborated with us when we wanted to take advantage of the access created by the demolition to install new and reroute existing electrical conduit. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed we were with him including us in the details of both the aesthetics and function of our project.

I am following up on a brief review from a year ago, which is prompted by jobs I have seen around town. Friends who recommended this company had work done several years ago and it still looks perfect, as does our from a year ago. I didnâ t fully appreciate the absolutely consistent color, the seamless integration with existing concrete, the impeccable cleanup, and the timeliness and efficiency until I started watching other projects in our neighborhood. Bottom line: hire this company.

We hired Gary to replace our driveway after interviewing 10 other contractors. We ere most comfortable with Gary. He did a great job, was conscientious about keeping things neat while complete the job, was very detailed about how the finished sections would look and how water would drain. He and his crew were professional and completed the job in a timely manner. Our job was competed in early spring so we had several delays due to cold-weather and rain, but both Gary and ourselves were more interested in a good job than time. We are delighted with the finished product.

I found American Pride Concrete on Angies List in August 2020. All 23 review comments about this contractor at that time were very positive so I contacted American Pride Concrete for an estimate. It is my pleasure to provide another positive review: Gary W. Vandelinde of American Pride Concrete, was impressive, knowledgeable, and visionary about my needs to replace my old cracked concrete driveway. He was patient with me as I asked questions and he answered in a manner that I could understand his concept on what was best to do. After he started my project, he and the other workers finished in 2 1/2 days in approximately 18 hours and within the timeframe that he had promised to perform the work. Since I have mentioned the other 4 workers, I must add that I was impressed with them performing as a team removing the old concrete driveway slabs and spreading the new concrete as it was poured by the delivery truck. They each performed their gifted talents with an obvious confidence in the outcome. Gary and the other 4 workers are terrific project managers and team players. My driveway project was completed just as the talented Gary had estimated and with excellent results. My new driveway has a gravel base, 4 inches of concrete poured at 4,000 psi, tied rebar in a grid-like formation, and fiber mesh for strength and durability. Gary landscaped with quality dirt along the edges of the driveway where the form boards were located for the concrete pour. I highly recommend Gary W. Vandelinde of American Pride Concrete and would hire him again if I need more concrete work at my house.
