Air Control

I've used this company since I bought my house in 1992. They last replaced the HVAC system in the spring. I also have a regular service contract with them. They are superb. Their technicians are superb. They go above and beyond. They are good people and a family business.

They were amazing, they were very professional, they cleaned up after themselves and they didn't make a mess, they were very careful and made sure that there will be no furniture gets damaged and very thorough with their work. I highly recommend them to anyone

They did what they were supposed to do and got the job done. It was a very good experience.

Bob H. was the mechanic. He was very prompt. He arrived on time at 8:00am and left at 9:15. He really knows his stuff. I was quite satisfied. I would recommened them to anyone.

Air Control is fair, friendly, responsive, professional and efficient. Their estimator/ sales guy came out, evaluated the installation and the next day they called and gave us a very good price. I agreed and within a few days, they called to arrange the installation. Their techs came right on schedule and completed the rather involved installation in one day. Everyone from the management, sales and technical people gladly answered any and all questions. They registered the warranty for me and sent the paperwork afterwards. All in all, a high quality, smooth experience. I will call them when we need our upstairs furnace replaced (not soon, i hope). I highly recommend Air Control to anyone looking for a high quality, friendly, fair repair or replacement. A+++++

Everything went great! They were here when they said they would be. Both gentlemen were very proficient and stayed until everything was complete and made sure I was up and running. Also, they both were very respectful to me, as a woman, which I appreciated.

Great service. The original unit they brought to use outside was too large for my landscaping and they went back and got another unit. They were very conscious of the look since the unit would be placed in the front of my home. Very thoughtful.

Great- professional and honest, quick

Technician (Rick) checked the thermostat, looked at the AC unit and told us that the fan motor and compressor needed to be repaired (approximately $2,000) or preferably replaced (around $6,000). He charged us a service call, travel time and labor. We called another company who checked the breakers, tested the fan, the compressor and replaced the capacitor, saving us thousands.

They overcharged us for the work that they did.

The story of their final visit...we called because our ac was not cooling...again. They told us that they would need to replace a coil and that "should hopefully" fix the problem. Long story short, after not having AC for over 3 weeks because of their poor communication and lack of integrity showing up, they replaced the coil and it actually worked...for now. (This is the reason I give them a D instead of an F in Quality). Here are the things that were commendable in their service: 1. Since it took more than 3 weeks to get the work done and get coordinated with the repairmen to actually show up, they did offer to lend us a free-standing AC unit for our living room. This was helpful since it was a very hot summer and our upstairs unit had also failed during this time so we literally had NO ac at all. 2. Although the owner was condescending to him, one of the repairmen was very nice and tried to be helpful. However, the owner second guessed everything the repairman told him, trying to undermine his 25+ years of experience. The owner actually came out and re-did some of the diagnostics because he wanted a different finding. Here are the things that were unacceptable in their service: 1. They told us they would be at our house on a date and time. Several times they just didn't show up and I had to call the office to see where they were. (I actually had someone waiting on them to let them in, and they never called or showed up). (This happened several times over the 3 summers they serviced our unit). 2. The owner got involved because we were adamant that they cover the part replacement under warranty since it was probably the original problem. He was very rude and condescending each time we talked and it was obvious that taking care of his long-term customers was NOT a priority for him. We finally came to an agreement on work and price and had the work completed. 3. The company kept calling to set up a time to come and pick up the ac unit they had lent us, but they never came to get it after 3 arranged times. Finally, in November they called again because they "Needed it for a customer" (In NOVEMBER) and I told them I was tired of being harassed about it, that I had agreed to meet them three times and they had not shown up. About 30 minutes later, an older gentleman arrived to pick it up. (I think it may have been the original owner of the company? Apparently the original owner was the current owner's father. Maybe the company had some credibility when he was in charge). Due to our very disappointing experience with this company I would NOT recommend them at all.

I spent about $150 on the job. The people from whom I had bought the house had left their number with me. So, I decided to use them. I will use them again.

They did a pretty thorough job. They tried to work on an alternative because the heat pump is over ten years old, so you can't get the same style. They decided to just change the compressor. That was really the only thing they could do at the time, unless I agreed to change the whole system. That would have been very expensive, and I didn't want to do that. The price I paid was in line. I got another estimate that was about the same. They did a good job installing the heat pump. The cabinet for it got broken. Of course, it was old. They offered to take parts from the same type of heat pump if they ever ran across it. They were here on time.

I have contracted Air Control to service and place the furnace and air conditioner respectively, 3 times a year. They come out in different seasons to install the same. The quality of their job is very good. They are responsive. I like their services and will continue to use them in future.

House had cold spots and the old unit was loud and was not very good on electric. They came out looked at the old system and listened to my concerns/needs. It took a couple of days after they came out to get an esitmate, the other companies gave me estimate on the spot, but boy am I glad I waited, the reason it took longer was they were actually trying to design a system for my specific home and needs. As soon as I got the estimate I knew I was going with them. Their estimate was in about the middle of 4 estimates I got price wise but was top of the list in detail and effort. I got their top of the line model but that was because that is what I told them I wanted, they priced 3 levels of systems for me. The install could not have gone better, they were very good about cleaning up behind themselves and I am very picking. They completed the work on schedule and the quality was outstanding. The new system has been in for about a month now and I could not be happier with it.

They did an excellent job. I liked the way the work was completed and I am completely satisfied with it. They were prompt and efficient. They were nice to work with. The price was satisfactory.

It went well. I had the skills necessary to do some of the work myself ( basically - dismantling and getting rid of all the old ducts and also installing filter-grills in the walls) so I was given the option of having them do everything at a certain price or having them do only that which I couldn't (installing new metal duct system and electronic air filter). I chose to do what I could myself. This option cost less than it would have if they had done everything . It also gave me the chance to--once the old duct system was out of the way-do some other (unexpected) work in the crawlspace that was unrelated to the task at hand. This work took almost three months . Although Air Control had invested in some supplies up front and weren't paid until the job was finished I was never pressured to "hurry up and get done".

Bid was the lowest of all contractors. Very professional. Unit was installed in a very timely fashion. Sales Rep very professional and easy to deal with. Family owned and operated. Technician accidently broke the pull down stairs leading to attic while working on the system, but company reduced bill by $300 to pay for installing a new stair unit. I thought that was more than reasonable, but I didn't argue :-) Can't say enough good things about this company, will definitely use them again.
