house cleaning
+ -1 moreWith the exception of one day, they have arrived when they said they would and pitched right in to work. The first day I offered a list of what I expected, but they said they preferred to go ahead and clean and I could tell them if they missed anything. It has worked out relatively well except for a time when another individual came with them and was somewhat lax about cleaning the bathroom floors and behind furniture. I told them and it was corrected. The one day that they did not arrive as expected occurred because a car had hit their car as they were en route to my home. There also have been times when family difficulties have caused them to send or bring a substitute. They don't seem to mind my being here which is refreshing. Previously I had a cleaner who always preferred me to be gone. That got tiresome. Basically, I think it is worthwhile to have them come because they can get the cleaning done much more quickly than I would be able to.
Description of Work: Lorraine and her daughter Melissa have been cleaning houses for several years. They have been cleaning my home every two weeks for about 5 months. They carry their supplies with them and really pitch in to systematically give all rooms a good cleaning. They empty waste baskets, clean bathroom mirrors, counters, wipe off items on counters. wipe down the face of cabinets, clean toilets and tubs. They shake throw rugs and clean the floors. They dust and clean all tables and replace the items. Lamps are dusted, look for cobwebs, wipe windowsills, dust picture frames, clean under sofa cushions and vacuum upholstery as needed. They clean the kitchen counters, sink, range and hood and wipe off kitchen cabinets, sweep and mop the floor. They vacuum all carpet and tile, clean glass doors and sweep the porch.
