Response from A&J Mechanical Services
This service started in 7/2010 when "The Member" contacted A&J Mechanical Services to repair a cracked water pipe, which was to a radiator located in her basement. The member was quoted for this repair service only - $300 to $400 to repair the cracked water pipe. The Owner of A&J Mechanical Services told the member the cost would be around $300 to $400 provided there was no other parts or service needed. We never heard from the member until the month 11/2010 to do the repairs, which was 4 months later. The cracked pipe was repaired and the member was charged $482.00 for the repair. During the repairs to the member,s cracked pipe, the member's 20 plus year old Boiler needed immediate repairs, according to our qualified Technician to allow it to function at it's peak performance. A&J Mechanical Services rendered services for this members Boiler (3) three times after the first repair, all with the member's approval. The services rendered consisted of replacing pressure relief valves, service call and installation of expansion tank. The member approved all services and signed all invoices for services rendered. In the members comments she stated she has used our service prior to A&J Mechanical Services coming to repair the cracked pipe. My question to the member is: If the people of A&J Mechanical Services are "NASTY PEOPLE", why would she call us to service you again? If her and her family feared the people of A&J Mechanical Services, why would she use our service again? A&J Mechanical Services would not continue to be in business if we were a company as the member painted us to be. A&J Mechanical Services is a member of the Better Business Bureau and we would not be an Accredited Company if we did all the things this member has stated. We have tried to resolve this issues with the member, and could not come to a resolution. Unfortunately, we did have to use the services of the Better Business Bureau's Mediation and Arbitration services. We have come to the conclusion that this member wanted something for nothing. All the services rendered to this member were rendered in good faith and with the utmost professional courtesy. The member could have at any point and time told our company she did not want to continue using our company. We believe all the accusations this member has made about our company has been falsely stated. A&J Mechanical Services encourages any member or consumer to call us to find out the real truth of our company. A&J Mechanical Services makes a choice to operate with the highest integrity, fairness, truth and excellent customer service.

They were able to repair it the day after I called them so that was nice. They were punctual, professional and clean. The technician answered my questions and it was all very positive. They are now my company of choice for AC repair.
Description of Work: A&J Mechanical Services did some warranty work for me. They replaced the blower unit on my AC.

They were absolutely wonderful. They listened to everything that I was wanted. I couldn't be happier. They were very responsive and delivered exactly what I was hoping for, if not more. For the price we got an energy efficient furnace, thermostat and I am so nice and warm in my house and I wasn't before because my house is very open. It is probably the right size furnace for the house. I am very, very happy and have no complaints.
Description of Work: I used A & J Mechanical to install a new system and furnace so we could take advantage of the federal tax credit.
