Their estimate was higher, that's why we went with another company that was already in the neighborhood doing work. We are in an older neighborhood and many of our street trees are dying. They are big 60 year old trees, so it a major deal to cut them down. I have been pleased with A Professional Tree Service, and they are very, very accommodating. They have been very helpful to us over the years. I would use them again in the future.

They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and held up to the quote they gave upon surveying the property. They finished in a timely fashion. They were also very pleasant and professional people to work with. I would recommend them to anyone in the Lexington area. I also found that their pricing was very fair.

They did the estimate yesterday, and they finished the work today. They were prompt and professional. They did the job as ordered at a price we were willing to pay.

They were very good. They did a good job. There was a minor thing where they missed something so we called them back out and they were very responsive. We would use them again.

the overall experience was great. We waited for several weeks between the estimate and the removal, hoping that the ground would dry so that there would be a minimum of damage to the yard, but finally had to go ahead. They did their best not do do damage to the yard, but some was unavoidable. They removed the tree with no damage to electric lines, houses or fences. They cleaned up very well and were very polite and considerate of my property.

The communications were very good. Came and gave advice regarding pruning big tree as opposed to removing. Gave estimate for removiong overgrown taxus hedge per our request. We decided to keep the hedge and remove the big tree. We did call to ask if estimate included discount of 5% for seniors. No, it was less that, but when we got the bill it did not reflect the discount. Called and he said forgot and just subtract that from total.

Ken Berry visited and gave me a detailed written estimate. I had several dead ordying trees that posed a risk of closing driveway if a storm blew them over. They had previous good reports from other Angie's List members which is why I asked them to give me an estimate.

Owner responded the day of my call for an estimate. Was very helpful to us in answering many questions about all of our trees. Knowledgeable and willing to educate. Came when scheduled, very fast at removing four trees. Next day came back to grind down the stumps. Very pleased. Nice job with clean up both days. Fair price. Would use again.

The owner did the estimate when I was not home, which was convenient but which I would not do again. The two-man crew was a bit late but this was not a big problem. They removed the cypress and birch trees quickly and loaded the branches in their truck. However, they did very little trimming on the maple; I expected a crossed branch to be removed and some thinning and shaping to take place. The cypress was in a tight space but they managed to get it out. However, I did not notice until later that they had accidentally taken out a branch on the neighbor's tree which stands at the corner of their house. The crew did not mention it to me but they did saw the broken branch for a clean cut. I pointed it out to my neighbor and he was OK with it because he was considering removing the tree or trimming it back anyway. However, this should have been mentioned to me. The cypress was near the driveway and they did not sweep or blow off the driveway aftward, but left twigs, needles, and chips; I swept it myself later. I asked the crew about grinding out the stumps; they said they did not have a stump grinder with them and someone would be back later to take care of it. I called the owner regarding the maple tree and the stumps; he came right out and said he would have someone take care of the stumps but it might be a few days before they could get to them; it actually took several weeks. He also said that he would send his arborist out to take care of the maple tree when the arborist returned from Florida. The arborist came out 2-3 weeks later to finish the job and took out the crossed branch I was concerned about and thinned out some branches. (I got a quote from another company that was higher, but comparing what was done to what they were going to do, the second company would have trimmed it back where it is growing toward the power lines and shaped it.) Did I get what I paid for? Yes. However, it took weeks to get the job completed and I expected it to be done in a day; they should at least get another stump grinder. Based on price, I MIGHT use this company again, but only if I had some assurance that the work would be done on a timely basis, the crew would clean up after themselves, and if I met with the estimator to make sure we agree on what needs to be done to trim a tree.

I called a couple of places to get estimates and Mr. Berry seemed the most professional & knowledgeable. They didn't need me to be at home when they did the work, which was a relief since it's hard to arrange time off from my job. I scheduled the work for a Tuesday, and when I came home that evening, it was all completed and the yard was perfectly clean. I would definitely use this company again.

They also trimmed and shaped two fruit trees beautifully. I had questions not directly related to the work they were performing and they answered them without hesitation. They provided additional assistance as related to my yard. I would strongly recommend their services.

They came out for an estimate the day after I called. I left a message at the office on a weekend that I wanted them to do the work. I did not hear back so had to call them. They aplogized for not returning the message and scheduled the work for the following week. They showed up right on time and completed the work even though it kept raining off and on. Clean up could have been better but as much as it was raining they did OK. We decided to cut down the 4 evergreens on the day they arrived and they only charged an extra $20.

The initial estimate was given by a real professional who cared about what we wanted and the health of the trees. The actual work was done professionally enough. There was minimal clean up needed afterwards. The cost to trim our huge oak trees seemed high to me, but they did several other jobs for us at a reasonable price since they were already here.

I contacted the service late on a Wednesday evening (@ about 7pm). The owner answered the phone, gave me an estimate and said he would be out to look at it on Thursday to finalize the estimate. I asked if he could do the work that day if the estimated price held up, and he said it would be a day or two. He called me on Thursday and said he would get it done the next morning because it was threatening to rain and he didn't want to put the heavy equipment on the lawn after a rain. He showed up early the next morning, completed the work in about an hour, and left. No lawn damage, very neat job. Within a week, we received a bill.

Just fine. He showed up for the estimate at the appointed time. He performed the work within the week's window of time he'd given me. He billed for the quoted price. He cleaned up well and left the firewood neatly stacked.
