This was the worst experience with construction I have ever had. He presented himself as a business, but it became painfully clear that he was working alone. He quoted the job at under $2500 at 8-10 days. This started at the end of March and he has still not finished and it's June 24th. He was complete with what he thought was the job until we found two major mistakes that he refused to admit to. The electrical outlet in the wall ended up being behind the framing of the door, and there's a half inch of space between the frame of the door and the drywall. We have asked him to come back and complete the job, but have not heard from him in three weeks. We have asked him to just leave the job being incomplete and get his stuff out of our house and he still has not called us back. This guy is a loser. During the time he "was working", he never worked more than a few days in a row and never worked more than 6 hours in a day. He showed up at 10am or after and always left at 3pm or soon there after. When he couldn't make it to do any work, he came up with every excuse in the book from car trouble, deaths in the family, to having a heart attack and missing a full week. He quoted $2500 and it has ended up at $4500 and still not complete. The work he did complete is halfway done. The pipes leak on the new floor. The framing that he removed had to be replaced with synthetic wood. And we will end up hiring someone else to clean up his work.
