OnthewallTVinstall.com offers TV wall mounting & Home theater installs, our pricing is NOT the average pricing scale. We have re-designed the way TV wall mounting & Home theater installs are sold. In 2002 We separated from an exclusive contract with one the nations largest electronics stores just before they went out-of-business. We were responsible for fixing the mistakes made during the sales process & we had to do this on-site with no warning. This would happen on 3 out of 5 TV wall mount installs sold by the stores. We designed a way to solve all of the problems that were caused by the sales process. The problem was that the materials were more costly than the entire installation cost & the sales person would not always mention that to the customer. This means that when the installer arrives he has no materials to install for the customer, unless he has the materials on-the-truck to sell to the customer. Having the materials to sell the customer is nice, yet the customer most likely felt mis-led by the store after they were sold the install & now they have to pay more money. Normally the installation cost is comprised of labor & warranty fees. The majority of other companies do not include materials for installation like brackets or wires. They want you to supply them all or buy them from them at an extra fee for each item like HDMI wire, mounting bracket & elec. bridge. We are different as we include all the materials for the TV wall mount installation for the NO wires look. That is the difference!

Very fast and professional installation. Arrived on time, even for a late Friday afternoon he still showed up. His prices are much better than others.
Description of Work: Moved a tv from one wall and reinstalled it in another room. Then installed a new tv to replace the one that was moved. We had prevoiusly used this company to originally install the old tv with great results. I will definitely use this company in the future.

T.V. was not mounted on wall where I wanted it. The owner, Mike Boyd was the installer and he promised to come back and correct. I called Mike over 15 times to come and re mount and each time he promised he would come and never showed. This went on for over a month. He finally claimed he was going to refund my money and after another 10-15 calls and promises (lies) he never refunded my money. This guy is a rip off artist. DO NOT use him. I had to pay someone to do the job he was supposed to do.

This customer has literally lost her mind. I mounted her TV with her bracket right where she told me to mount it at. she called me about a week later and wanted me to move the TV and said that I mounted it to low. this is because she was moving in on the day that I installed it and she was very sporadic she had several technicians working on different tasks at the time. I did in fact tell her that I would come back when I was in her area to move the TV up for free if she could wait for me to be in her area. so she is partially telling the truth because she would call me and asked me if I could come do the job several times and I would tell her each time she would have to wait until I was in her area. I finally decided that I would rather give her a refund for her TV mounted to low instead of arguing with her and dealing with her constant begging request for me to do it for free and do it now. she already paid for one TV install I installed the TV right where she wanted it so I am not required to go back for free but I was willing to do so as long as it didn't cost me any extra money but after dealing with this person for some time it was better for me to just let go of the job and give her her money back just to get her off my back. so I would treat any other customer the exact same way if you asked me to do a job for you and I do it the way you requested and then you pay me for the job and call me back over a week later complaining about where you told me to put the tv then I would tell anybody the same thing I cannot come back for free unless I'm already in your neighborhood.

Mike and his helper were nice, and clean cut. I had already described what needed to be done. I was Quoted $270. Took not quite an hour. During that time, he had to flip one bracket over and drill 2 holes. He had to drop wires into hole for 1 TV. That took about 7 additional minutes for both activities (for which he added another $80). He did a nice enough job, but didn't move a chest back into place that he moved out. I used his company because I figured if anything went wrong he would have the knowledge to fix it. He didn't try to operate the one TV and when he left, we found it didn't work. He seemed to be in an awfully big hurry, then charged an awful lot for 1 hour of labor only (for him and a helper). $356
Description of Work: 1 TV taken down. 2 TVs hung on wall on existing brackets already mounted on walls.

Mike helped us get ready for the Super Bowl by hanging a projector and screen we had previously purchased, as well as setting up a surround system that had been partially left behind by the previous homeowner. During his initial visit, Mike did a great job of discussing different installation options once it was clear that the original plan we had discussed over the phone would not work with the hardware (projector and Apple TV) we had. Mike was clear that he would have to purchase different hardware for our modified installation plan, scheduled a second visit once he knew when he would have all the installation hardware, and completed the job quickly, completely, and professionally.
Description of Work: Mount projector and screen I had previously purchased, with wiring and mounting hardware provided by OnwallTVinstall.com. Complete partial set up of surround sound system.

Perfect. Mike was extremely professional and and capable of handling anything that gets in the way of the task. He had every necessary part and the skill to explain the best way to enjoy the new TV and all of the complexities of the new technology. The process did not take too long, but Mike was willing to take all of the time necessary to get the job done right. I will proudly recommend On The Wall TV Install to my friends, family, associates, or anyone else that needs this type of service.

This is a rebuttal to Mike Boyd's response to my bad review. If the guy was apologetic, Instead of blaming the customer once again, this wouldn't be necessary. But i don't take it on the chin and walk away like most of the customers the maniac played stupid. Let me tell you right from jump, this guy is a con-artist and a big fat liar. If you just read the bad reviews, you will see a bad pattern of this guy blaming the customer. and this isn't the only site he has gotten bad reviews. But let me tell you people on here the real reason I'm writing this. He talks about calling the cops and I'm some kind of psycho, But this guy actually posted my info on craigslist and made a fake ad for a free Kenmore washer on Thanksgiving day. I got over 50 calls before i call the cops on him to have this removed. And it was removed very quickly because i had solid proof that it was this immature unprofessional that posted it just because i gave him a bad review. When i gave the guy my name, I used a fake name, Because it was Craigslist, and there is a lot of scammers on there. So, he is the only person that had that name, and he list the contact name with that fake name. So, he was busted. As the police officer was taking my report, 3 calls came in right infant of the officer. More proof of what this arrogant psycho did. Is this what you want in your home? I admit, i get be very abrasive, but that still shouldn't matter. The best thing this guy should have done is just apologize for not showing up and make it right, but instead he texts me back and basically he doesn't give a rats @$# what people think. And i will post his text to prove how big of a arrogant ego maniac this guy is. and his temper. In the service business you truly need to watch how you bad mouth your customers, some are submissive and some will break a foot off in your business like me. ALL HE HAD TO DO IS APOLOGIZE. But his ego gets in the way. read his complaints, judge for yourself what kind of guy he sounds like. almost every bad complaint against him, he takes offense and blames the customer. This is the kind of guy that leaves customers holding the bag, especially if he messes up. Im sorry, but first impressions Mike!! regardless how mad a customer is at you, and you know and admit you messed up, don't talk junk back. Your at fault and you admitted that you didn't show up in your rebuttal. Don't act like a maniac, just make it right. Or you will get someone like me that will be a true splinter in your behind. Aww, him so upset! To sum this up this guy was upset because I missed his appointment he texted me alarming threats against my reputation and my safety on Thanksgiving Day. I responded with exactly what you can see in the text that he posted images of however, you can see that he has not posted his threats. He has deleted them before he posted the image or screen shot. I did not threaten him, I just let him know about my lack of concern regarding his threats. His point seemingly is that he wants an apology because I returned the favor accordingly. He will not get an apology neither will anyone else who decides that they would like to threaten me because I missed an appointment. The professional manner of handling such a situation would be too leave an honest bad review or at least call the guy that didn't show up on the day that he didn't show up and complain politely angry complaints and threats getting you hung up on you no matter who you call whether it be the cable company iPhone company your cell phone company or any other company they will let you know right away that they do not have to listen to that type of complaint and they will immediately hang up on you. I was not given that professional courtesy he did not contact me he just threaten me by text, and to this day continues to harass me. He even goes as far as suggesting that I should sue him in court at one of his reviews on Google. This is a response to this customer's rebuttal I don't think I have to say much I think he has said enough on his own to prove that my point is valid I will reiterate that I never did any work for this guy I will remind readers that he contacted me with threats which he has admittedly posted in his rebuttal on Thanksgiving Day I responded accordingly letting him know of my lack of concern regarding his threats. Regarding his claims about me posting ads on Craigslist about him it is just more make believe. It would appear as if about 90% of his rebuttal is a bunch of made-up response most of it regarding my response is untrue. I did in fact tell this customer that his attempts to defile my company will only prove to himself how insignificant he actually is in this world as an individual that is actively slamming a company that has never even done any work for him. I will again admit that I did not show up to his appointment I will remind readers that that was his original complaint including threats to me and my company in those threats he mentioned his family law enforcement and told me that I had better watch out all because I didn't show up to his appointment. Again to reiterate regarding his claims are all false anyone who is willing to go through everything that this person has went through to complain about a missed appointment or even and accused rude response must be outside of their mind. And finally to anyone who is concerned I would never apologize for something that I said in response to a situation like this money is not so important that I am willing to allow myself to be degraded for a dollar. This person thinks that he can continue to harass me online by text and by phone I did in fact call a local police department in my area which he has referred to as Barney Fife in his rebuttal this officer contacted him with an order to cease and desist and his attempts to contact and harass me that did in fact happen on Thanksgiving Day and in my opinion he is extremely upset embarrassed or Etc in regards to having to deal with a police officer on Thanksgiving Day because of his actions. No police officer ever contacted me regarding any Craigslist ad I don't believe his comments are true or that that even happened.

Apparently my old review disappeared. But i have no problem slamming this unprofessional crook again. This guy has a horrible temper and ego. This guy cussed me out because i threatened to put him on blast everywhere i could to expose his unprofessionalism. This guy called the police on me because i called him out about being unprofessional. Then he plays a prank on craigslist by creating a fake ad about a washer and dryer set real cheap. So i got a 1000 calls one after the other ON THANKSGIVING!!, because of this maniac. He will deny it to his grave, but i have proof. When i contacted this guy the first time, I gave him a false name. Just because i found him on Craigslist. theres a lot of nut jobs like this guy on there. So, he is the only one that knew that fake name. That was the name he used in the fake Craigslist ad. BUSTED!! So, to get the calls to stop, I called the cops on him. and what do you know!!, the Ad came down literally in minutes after the cops called him. Now, Is this the kind of maniac you want to let in your home? around your wife and kids? THINK ABOUT THAT, because i scolded him, He plays a prank like a 10 year old. This guy truly needs therapy. Now watch, his rebuttal will be to blame me the customer. if you read his bad reviews, He finds some way to make the customer look bad. to cover his behind. And if you look other places, you will find a lot of reviews that look like catfish type profiles. There is no way this guy gets that many 5 stars. not with that attitude. Im going to post a pic of his text back to me to show what kind of guy he is. Im betting he thought this was going away, but after playing that prank, Im never letting up on this scumbag. All that fake name, and Craigslist ad bull crap is all just more propaganda for him to try to forced his narrative. All that mess about fake profiles and his entire Word salad does nothing more than expose his hateful manner. it's pretty clear I was being respectful as I possibly could as a professional but this guy pushed me past my point and forced me to speak to him the way I did in the text. Which you can clearly see my choice of words compared to his choice of words. But aside from all of that he did all this on Thanksgiving day I think his choice of timing his choice of words and is principals have exposed him for who he truly is in the first place. but I will say this again and I've said it many times I cannot satisfy everybody in fact this person I never even made it to his house so you can imagine how a person like that would react or handle a situation if I did show up and there was an actual problem what do you have tried to beat me up if he disagreed with what I said? it's probably a good thing I never showed up to this guy's house because he's a little bit unhinged if there would have been a problem on the job that's much bigger issue than just not showing up what do you have thrown a fit it's probably better off that I never showed up.

Mike came out to mount my TV the firest time and the mount I had was not suitable (off centered) so I ordered another mount and Mike came out again and mounted the TV, routed the cables just like I wanted to the basement. I was able to customize the cable run and I am very happy with it. Defintely would recommend. It took some time to get the appointments but he always kept me in the loop and communicated on time.

It was one of the strangest transactions I've ever experienced. When Mike came out the first time he was several hours late, but once here got right to work installing everything. Unfortunately the new TV set did not work, certainly not Mike's fault. He told me to let him know when the TV was replaced and he would come out and finish up. I let him know the next day that the TV would be delivered the following Thursday. He offered to come on Friday. I waited way past the time he was supposed to arrive, but he didn't show up. He called the next day, saying he would be out on Tuesday. I told him that I wasn't in a hurry but would like him to show up this time. Again, he didn't show up. The last I heard from him was 6PM and he said he would be coming from Lexington, but it didn't happen. The next day he said he would be out on Friday, and that after standing me up twice there would be no further charge. He did arrive that time, obviously in a bad mood, and immediately told me that he had decided to charge me after all because I lived so far away! He set about working very quickly. When I asked him to show me how everything worked, as we had discussed, he pointed to the owner's manuals! In one room the TV and sound bar work great, but the new DVD player does not work. In the living room, the DVD player doesn't work, and neither does the sound bar. So the upshot is I have paid this guy and now I'm going to have to hire someone else to fix his work. After waiting many hours for this man and being stood up twice, he came into my home and treated me rudely, did a bad job, and charged me extra! I had to give myself several weeks to cool off before I could even write this review. I understand the problems of a small business, but it looks like Mike is trying to cover too much territory. To charge me extra because I live far away from him was ridiculous, since I am in his service area. He also seemed to think I was leaning on him to come quickly, although I explained to him I just wanted to know WHEN, but there was no rush.
Description of Work: Two TV's installed on the wall, plus two sound bars, reconnecting DVD's and cable. I explained in my first contact with this company that I would have to be shown how to work everything.

I politely respond however in regards to the customer claiming I was upset when I arrived that is not necessarily true it may have been obvious by the look on my face that there was some concern but that was due to the previous conversation that me and her had my text where she threatened me legally and threaten me through Angie's List dispute process if I didn't come back to Mount her TV. Technically I had already completed what I was paid to do I had only told her that I would come back for free if I was already in her area. I was not upset I was just offended by the threat she did not have to take it that far and I did not feel like I was legally responsible for coming back to the point to where I deserve to be threatened. In regards to this install that I did in fact complete this customer has been truthful and respectful for about 50% of her claim I did complete the install at her TV was not working properly everything was connected properly she had to have her TV replaced I told her that if she could work with my schedule and if I could come back to her when I was already scheduled to be in her area that I would not charge her however on the two days that I had installation scheduled in her area I had previously notified her of my arrival time and after that the installations that were scheduled in her area rescheduled or cancelled so I gave her a call and let her know how we could handle it best she requested that I come out ASAP I notified her at the time that I would have to customize a schedule for her because I was not going to be in her area. When I arrived I checked the new TV and installed it properly make sure that everything was working and I explain to her how to operate the system at that time her previous TV install which would have been the second TV was still working just fine she did not have any problems with it and she did not claim to have any issues while I was there I obviously had to charge her to come back to remount a new TV because my office is in Northern Kentucky and she is in Dayton Ohio I only charged her $79 to come back and remount the TV. In regards to the claim that she has to pay someone else to repair issues with the install it all comes with a lifetime warranty and she has never requested any repairs or addressed any concern about any other issues when I left she seemed like a happy person

I contacted Mike to hang a tv on my fireplace wall. He seemed to be very courteous and indicated it would be a strait forward job with a flat rate charge. He informed me of when he would be in my area again and proposed a time to come out. This is where the trouble began. The day of the job I ended up calling him because it was pushing into my scheduled appointment time. I had a late afternoon/ evening appointment and I had not heard anything. Mike informed me that he was running behind but I was next in line. He also informed me that he did not know exactly when he would show up, but reiterated that he would be headed my way. Three hours later I attempted to call him again but only got his voicemail. I both left him a voice mail and sent him a text. It was after 8pm at this point and I had been waiting most of the evening. I wanted to know whether he was still coming. I got no response, so I attempted to call him again after 9. Again, I got his voicemail and left a message. It has now been 2 days since my scheduled appointment and I still have not heard anything. No phone calls, no texts, nothing. I completely understand that things happen. Conflicts come up, emergencies happen, you name it. If MIke ran into a situation where he couldn't get to me the day of my appointment I would have understood. All he had to do was take the time to tell me. Heck, i would have understood had he bothered to contact me at any point in the past 2 days since. It's common courtesy and it only takes a minute to call or text. As it is he left me waiting all night, and has since not bothered to call me back. It's rude! Looking through his other negative reviews it seems he has a habit of this. I'm sure to expect some level of comment from him stating that he can't make all of his customers happy, he learns from his mastakes, Yada yada. Clearly this is all bs as he still doesn't feel the need to keep his customers informed. If you want to schedule an appointment with the expectation that you may or may not have him show, and will likely get little to no communication, then Mike is the guy. If, however, you expect more from your service and want professional courtesies do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. ***Update*** 2 days later (11/29) Following my initial post I received a call and text from Mike apologizing for missing his appointment. I didn't necessarily believe the reason he provided but decided to give him a chance to correct the situation. We agreed that he would come out to hang the tv the following day for a discounted rate. His communication leading up to the appointment time improved significantly. He still ended up being almost an hour late, but provided text message updates along the way (greatly appreciated). Upon arrival he was professional and courteous. He assessed the job and took the time to walk through some options with me. I had bought a full range tv mount which, little did i know, had the potential to damage my brick fireplace wall. He indicated he would continue with the install if I wished, but wouldnt be able to warrant the work due to the risk. Instead he recommended a tilt mount that he had it him. The price he provided for the mount seemed high, but I appreciated that he took the time to explain the potential risk. In the end I considered it a wash with the discounted installation price, and opted to take his advise. The installation went very smoothly, and the end product looked great. I am glad that I gave him another chance to come out.

Mike arrived on time and immediately got to work. It's easy to see that he does this daily, because it took him less than an hour to install my new TV which was still in the box. He provided the mount / bracket and 2 HDMI cables. He made the install look easy, but I'm so glad I hired Mike to do the job and not try to do it myself!

Mike arrived on time and immediately got to work. Unfortunately for me, I had a TV mount I bought and could not return. Mike could have sold me the same mount and included the installation for almost the same that I paid for just the mount!! Keep that in mind if you are thinking of mounting a TV. My HDMI cable was not long enought and Mike had one on his truck. The basic install is $99 when you supply everything. Mike was in and out in less than 30 minutes, I kid you not!!! Now we did not need the cables and wires hidden which is why we went with the basic. I searched both Angie's List and Homeadvisor for tv mounting professionals. The reveiws, like mine, were nothing but positive!! If you need this service, RUN do not walk to the phone and contact Mike You will not be disappointed!!

I contacted Mike late on a Saturday evening and was surprised to hear from him on Sunday following up on the call. The television installation was completed on Friday, so his response time was quick. He gave us suggestions as to best mount the TV, which was better than what we planned to do. He covered all the cables and made sure that everything was in working order. Mike was fast, efficient and personable. He left everything nice and neat and we are happy!

OnwallTVinstall.com missed the initial appointment without calling. When I called them they said they were running behind due to an installation that took longer than expected. I asked if they would still get to me that day and they assured me they would. They never called back and again missed the appointment by never showing up. Company did not even have the courtesy to call and cancel, they just left me hanging. I have since left two voice mail messages and a text message without a response. I find it very unprofessional to be this unresponsive to a customer especially when I had to take time off work to be present for the service. I do not recommend this company and will not use them in the future.
Description of Work: I scheduled an appointment for 3pm to 4pm on a Friday to install a TV/Mount (I already had the mount) along with running about 50 feet of Coaxial and Cat6 cabling through a mostly uncovered ceiling area and install a wall plate for the Coaxial and Cat6 cables.
