MOMENTUM PAINTING COMPANY

We requested a quote to paint the exterior of our home. They came out, talked the talk, took some measurements and a selection of photographs, duly following up with what felt like an impressively-detailed 9-page proposal inviting us to call them with any questions. Six e-mails and a handful of phonecalls later we are yet to receive any kind of response - after four weeks of waiting - to either our questions... or even a simple request to call us back. Given that this job was worth a five figure sum ($10500) to Momentum - and we were ready to commit - I am astonished by their lack of communication. Needless to say if this complete wasting of our time is their idea of "attention to detail" or a "dedication to excellence" then its fair to say they won't be getting our - nor are they deserving of anybody else's - business.

Although we offered a deposit when we accepted their bid, they did not require it...perhaps because they never intended to show up to do the work. They agreed to have our house painted by mid-August. I started calling and emailing on August 18th. It took a few days for them to answer me and when they did, I was told pressure-washing and prep work would begin the following Monday. I canceled my plans and stayed at home to be there in case any questions needed to be answered. No one showed. The next day I left messages and emailed again. Two days later I received a call on my cell phone. I was driving and didn't want to get into a big discussion. I told him we had decided not to use them and to call me at home in an hour if he wanted to discuss what had happened. I haven't heard from them since. Because of Momentum Painting we lost the next two best bids because of their full schedules and our house is sitting unpainted. I cannot believe they have ANY positive feedback.

The Momentum guys did an excellent job with the wall coverings and the painting. They had been referred by a friend, and even though I usually use a general contractor, I'm glad that I went with them because their attention to detail was a notch above that of a handyman or general contractor. We weren't going to paint the ceiling but they showed us what a difference it makes to have a fresh white coat-they were right! They also sanded down some of the bad spots from one of my previous paint jobs. And, of course, nobody likes to mess with wallpaper, but these guys made it look easy. I highly recommend them. A++

Garrett is professional, and did a nice upfront job with the pricing and explaining the project. His painters were very good. The color matched well, they cleaned up after their work daily. The front door was a change order, and the bright color was applied evenly and dried exactly as we had wanted.
