Bill was referred to me by my Sister's friend. I rate word of mouth advertising at the highest as folks will tell others about good experiences with service providers. So, I thought I would give him a try, especially when I couldn't get anyone locally (Taylorsville) to call me back. I contacted him and he set an appointment to come out and look at the unit. I told him on the phone that I already had my brother-in-law (and electrician by trade) to look at the system and he concluded that it was the compressor and that it should still be under warranty. Bill met me at our house and verified that it was in fact the compressor at the least. He stated he would get back to me with the cost and when he would be able to fix the issue. Upon Bill's call, he provided an estimate of $1,000.00 as a worst case scenario and that he would be out Sunday, 04 APR to effect the repairs. Sunday, Bill was running a little behind. He called 20 minutes before he was supposed to arrive and informed me that he would be about 30 minutes late. After that he was exactly on time. He then performed the following items: 1. Removed the freon from the system to an empty container. 2. Acid tested the system which came back clear. 3. Removed the compressor. 4. Installed the new compressor. 5. Charged the system with freon. 6. Tested the system and it didn't start and he knew exactly that it was now the capacitor 7. Replaced the capacitor. 8. Tested the system and it worked perfectly. 9. Tested the temperature of the incoming and outgoing lines to ensure they were within tolerances. 10. Tested the temperatures at the air handler 11. Tested the temperatures at several vents in the house. He then worked up the cost. The final cost was a pleasantly $760.00. He was very professional and very cordial. I enjoyed speaking with him the whole time he was doing the work and had no issues sharing information and teaching when I wasn't sure of what he was doing. I was very impressed with his knowledge and willingness to share information. I recommend his services without reservation! I have a new HVAC service provider.
