Awful Service! Contract states 6-8 weeks told us it may take a bit longer. No one ever called we had to keep calling them and were told week after week that our windows would be there on Friday, but they never were. We are at 18 weeks and I called corporate offices and was told the general manager would call me within two days. Day 4 no response and I even reached out to him via email. The installation manager called me and was rude telling me I'm not the only person ordering windows and they don't build their schedule around me. Awful customer service and refuse any refund because they ordered windows. Had I known it would have taken so long I would have cancelled before they were ordered but I was lied to for weeks saying the wi does were going to be there. When I said we ordered them in July the lady said they didn't order them right away because they had a line of customers in front of us. Then lied to us so we couldn't cancel. Horrible company and. It trust worthy.

Salesman came out promptly - after multiple bid reviews I went forward with WW of Cincy. The gutters were to be installed within one to two weeks. Weeks pass with no communication - I advised due to my home owners requiring the gutters be replaced ASAP these need installed or my money back. The only reason I chose them for gutters were due to them being able to start within 30 days. I was given every excuse all the way down to Mastic (Aluminum product company) being out of product. I as pressed a month later the salesman advised he miss-measured the gutters/fascia/rake and would need to up the price from $2700 (higher of all estimates) an additional $1500? The funny part was nobody ever came back out to re-measure to know if the first ones were wrong. I called him out on it and he offered my money back. To get the money back for the gutters took months and several phone calls in which I was trying to keep the relationship alive as I unfortunately I still had windows and doors coming from them. Salesman and install manager came out 5 times to re-measure doors and windows (per the salesman- I was not there can’t verify). Both doors and windows came much delayed with very poor communication - which ended up being in the cold of winter instead of fall. Regardless, windows were installed except for one which they said was on backorder (after this long delay? didn't make sense but did later).. Wife and installer called me to talk about one of the three sliders being installed. The slider was to replace the previous door - both 9 feet. Door was 75% installed as of the call - he said the install manager talked to the owners and to move forward with installing a smaller door. This was untrue as we have never spoken to anyone but the salesman - I never received the $700 difference nor would this have been acceptable as it was main conversation point during initial meeting. I specially told him I didn't want to remove the wood slider unless a 2 lite 9 foot door can go in. The prefabricated form showed 9 foot 2 lite slider - large upcharge to move up. Install manager later said he never made these statements and wanted to make it right - asked if I would take a 3 lite door - without even offering the price difference back? I said absolutely not - we agreed on a 9 foot door which the install was beyond horrible. The exterior was left bare for weeks. Issues: window installed out of square (they came back fixed a few of them - never came back after) only caulked 50% of the windows and doors - 4 of the 7 windows had no caulk on top trim was to be brick molding paid additional $633 - ended up with rolled aluminum and a lot of it.. no doors can lock - manager said there is a "trick to them" -?? still have not figured out the "trick".. screen sliders don't lock as one striker missed the factory pilot hole and the other two they forgot to install.. screens came in metal and dented with long wires hanging from each window (only some were cut/trimmed when manager came out) one large expensive tinted window looked to be dragged through there factory (manager was nice enough to hand rub a strong acetone on it against my wished which immediately took of the finish and the turned the windows color) one window in the basement was miss-measured about 3 inches left to right - they packed the window full of aluminum strips and caulk instead of making it right and ordering a new window.. The manager tried to avoid coming out during the install - the first time he blew me off the secretary called to say ALL the vehicles in WW's fleet was being serviced for oil changes.. that must have just popped up. The second time he just got caught up with other stuff. The third one I called to verify after taking off work again and the secretary wouldn't transfer me - she said he has to come out Monday with an installer to put in broken window. He never called me once to tell me. The only call I got from him was him begging me to pay him and his guys and he put it "I gotta pay the guys so they can eat".. I told him not to put it on me - this is his issue. That Monday they came out - fixed a few things - told my wife to keep the 8 foot slider as resolution for free. They also told her that expose exterior didn't need covered. Upon her pushing them they reluctantly bent the metal and didn’t fasten it. A contractor working on the kitchen called me to tell me he picked up the molding blowing across my yard! Their fix was to tell me the salesman was fired for making to many mistakes - but this never fixed my problems. They could have at least sent me some tubes of color matching caulk. I will be filing a BB complaint on this.
Description of Work: Windows and sliding doors (would have been gutters as well but they dragged their feet and had to refund me the deposit - which took weeks and weeks to get back).

We contracted with Window World to replace a large slider with two double hung windows and a double hung with a casement window. Installation went well although the casement window had issues in that it did not function as smoothly as it should. Rather than repair they felt it better to replace with another since repair of those kinds of windows is iffy at best. Needed to reschedule that reinstall 3 times as they had schedule conflicts and while that is not a huge issue it is after waiting most of the day and then hearing about the need to reschedule. Eventually they arrived as promised and all is well.

In the spring we noticed ants coming into our through our windows. We inspected and found the installers did not caulk the back windows and left a space. We called the company several times and were told it would be fixed and nothing has been done.

We were given the run around and the follow through was poor, although the price was reasonable. The two windows we needed installed were in challenging locations. They came out to measure and were eager to take our deposit. About a month later they came out to install them the first time and they discovered they had measured wrong. So it was close to two months later before they came back with the correct sized windows. Then they cracked when they finally installed them. We had to call them. They came out to "fix" it by just through some caulking on it. They didn't properly fix it, but I am finished dealing with them.

Window World was the least expensive of three estimates (also received price quotes from Lowe's and Home Depot). The salesman was professional and courteous as well as the office staff. Installation was delayed due to weather, but otherwise the process was seamless. The quality of the windows seems quite good and I appreciate their name being on them so if future problems arise, one knows which company to contact. I also appreciate the lifetime guarantee should anything (and they told me absolutely anything) goes wrong. I will use this company again as I continue to replace windows in my old home.

Salesman was great, knew what he was talking about. Felt good about selecting them over the others, that is where the 'good' stops and the slight nightmare starts. Most people now a days do not write checks, I didn't correctly spell out the correct amount. Instead of having the salesman come back to the house to have this corrected, they contacted us at work to have us send in another check.. I checked with Fifth Third bank and was told that well, blah, blah blah, in the end they held onto this check for over 2 weeks and didn't order our windows until they had 'the check', which caused the estimated time to have them installed at least 2 weeks later. They gave us a 6 week window to start with. When it was drawing close to the time they should have been receiving the windows, we were told they didn't set up installation until the windows had been inspected. We are now going into October, I sent them an email on the availability of us being able to take vacation days off of work for them to do the installation. But they would could not accommodate any of the 3 weeks. In the end, they started on Oct 31 way over the 6 weeks, and installed the windows and started on the siding on Nov 1, they finished up on Monday, Nov 4. it shouldn't have taken so long if they had worked on it for more than 3-4 hours at a time. I hate to think how long it might have taken to do the whole house siding, this was a small area. (beware of Michelle, the manager of the office, if one of the rating questions was on 'office personnel' this would have gotten an 'F'

The salesman was great. Helpful, and worked with me to only replace certain windows, to stay within my budget. Windows were manufactured in the expected time frame. Patio doors were custom dimensions, and fit perfectly! Installers were on time, worked efficiently,. Reviewed the old windows that were to be removed. Staged the equipment needed. Removed old windows carefully. Helped me to save one to donate to Habitat. Worked steadily but not rushed, to do a very good job of removing the old and installing the new, and doing the trim work. I was impressed with the care he took to do it right. The assistant moved quickly to clean up as they went along, and did an excellent job of sealing/caulking. The place was left spotless and my need units are wonderful! I can see the beautiful woods through my patio doors! And the doors themselves are beautiful and simple to keep clean.

The estimate for the windows seemed very high. I expected some extra costs for removal of old windows or additional trim work. I have been receiving ads on the internet that their windows were 189.00 each, any size. My windows were not oversized or unusual. When I called the sales person back and asked why the estimate was so high he said those ads are for the national company not them. They couldn't possibly do it for that price. I am disappointed to learn that the ads do not represent this franchise. This seems duplicitous to me.

We looked at probably half a dozen window manufacturers.....side by side comparisons of their windows at the home shows, talking to their sales staff, literature reviews and internet searches. We were looking for a good quality window that looks great for a fair price. After doing our research and applying it to what we wanted, the clear choice was Window World. The sales rep (Frankie C.) was great...he was very knowledgeable, personable and did an excellent job answering our questions. Frankie came to our home, helped us with choosing the window type, measured and gave us a detailed, itemized written quote. This was important as no other company provided us any detail supporting their quote...just a total cost. Additionally, we were concerned that even with a good window, quality installation was key. Again Frankie agreed and gave us confidence in Window Worlds installers...he assured us he would take care of us. Well, again he was true to his word. The install team (Jimmie and Dennis) arrived on time, worked hard all day and did an excellent job. We couldn't be more pleased.

We had an estimate from 5 different window companies who all came in around $7k, for 11 Windows and a Picture Window (white vinyl, double hung, double pane, argon filled, Low-E coating, and Grids) . Window World's product was equal or superior to these other companies - Champion, Gilky, AllGood Home Imp., Home Depot - and the cost was nearly 50% less. The product is virgin vinyl with reinforced steel in the top sash, and a sloped sill to drain water. The sales person was very knowledgeable and straight forward, and made one offer based on a chart of cost per feature. We went with the highest of everything. (All the other companies would start at $13-14k, and we'd have to negoitate the price down.) We did tell him that we had one more company coming out, and my husband then called him later that day and said we'll cancel the other company if he takes off $100 off. The salesman agreed. He came back and we signed the contract, he said it would be 4 weeks before they would be in, and we could then schedule the install date. They called roughly 3 weeks later and I was able to schedule on a monday, for the upcoming Saturday. It was very quick! The installers showed up promptly and began laying down plastic all around the house. They basically covered our entire house, inside and out, in plastic. It really helped cut down on the dust, and protect the outside plants. They arrived at 9am, and were cleaned up (vaccumed with a HEPA filter) all by 1pm. They were very organized, knowledgeable, and nice to have in the house. We asked a couple of questions while they were working, and they were able to explain all the installation procedures easily. Before they left I opened and closed all windows and tried all of the locks. We had no problems with the installation and the windows are beautiful. The installers were contractors, even though Window World said they only use employees - but they did such a great job that we haven't asked Window World about the discrepancy. The only other issue we had was that the Installers wanted full payment before they left and we were under the assumption that we were financing the remaining 50% balance. We simply explained to them that we would make a partial payment and call window world the Monday after Install. They agreed, and Window World also had no problems with the partial payment. They then set us up for 60mo same as cash financing for the remaining balance. The noise reduction is the biggest difference we've noticed. Our air condition still runs the same (not less often, but the same), though the tempeture in the house in much less spotty and drafty. We are able to increase the temperture and the house stays consistently cool. Overall our experience was really great with Window World and we do highly recommend them.

Window World's appraiser was punctual and professional, but I had received two appraisals and chose the other company, which installed windows throughout the house and also fixed the gutters that were falling off of the house. I might have chosen Window World Inc., as the two companies gave me similar estimates, around $4700. But Window World Inc. was more specialized, and wouldn't have fixed the gutters. They quoted a little higher than the company who did the job, about $5000 and then lowered it, to something like $4700. It wasn’t the cost so much, but it was all the stuff that needed to be done. The Window World estimator brought a sample window to our house when he came to do the estimate, and showed many great points it offered. He did a good job with the appraisal and explanations. He was quite punctual; I would definitely use them if more window work was needed and the other company couldn’t do it.

I shopped around to five companies to replace the windows in my house (Champion, Windows Plus, Ferguson, Sears, and Window World). I'm sure champion has a good product, but they wanted $9500. The others wanted $6500-8500. The others were fine I guess, but Window World was significantly less expensive. Also, the Window world order form is "a la carte". You can choose between two window lines, but truthfully there is only one for homes. From there you can add energy efficiency package (i.e. argon between the panes) grids to produce the farm-house look, and lead paint handling procedures. I liked that approach. All the others just asked what you wanted, did their calculations, and handed you an estimate. I got a very nice sales brochure and materials, much more than most of the other companies. This was mixed, in that I like seeing the product and warranties, but some of the wording was a bit vague. I called the sales rep back to verify that faulty installation would be covered under warranty - he assured me it was. The salesman himself was very knowledgeable. He pointed out that an option for a large triple opening (double hung-large picture window -double hung) could not, in fact be done as a previous salesman had suggested). He said WW of the Queen City replaced the previous Cincinnati franchise due to under-performance, but that they service all their contracts. The Sears salesman was plain awful - he didn't have a full sized sample and a follow-up salesman informed me his estimate was in fact for single-hung windows, not double-hung. I was most worried about installation, but it went beautifully. We got a team of two brothers. They were able to remove my old windows and install the new windows in one day, but they said removing my old windows took unusually long. The next day they did the trim, and the guy doing the trim installation was a real pro. They were on time, courteous, did a great job, and cleaned-up. I am really happy with the final result. The windows themselves look good and operate smoothly. The trim looks great. I am happy to recommend them.
