Affordable Overhead Door

Perfect, I called and talked to Eric he came out to have a look, 2 days later part in hand swapped out the trolley in minutes really. On time (early) very professional, very nice and would highly recommend these guys. Well worth it

I called at around 0900 to try to get someone out to repair the broken door spring. The rep I spoke with was very pleasant and professional and said they were booked today but could come first thing the next morning. As we were ending the call, he said that he might be able to get to me depending on how his current appointments went. At about 1045, he called again to say he could be there in half an hour. He came and had the job done in less than one hour. He also lubed the rollers and opener screw drive, and the door now is much quieter than before. Very friendly, courteous, and professional service. I especially appreciated the extra effort to squeeze me in on a booked up day. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

Eric was great. I had shopped the "big boys" and was not happy with the prices they quoted nor were they friendly on the phone. Affordable Overhead was friendly on the phone and got me scheduled immediately. Their pricing was significantly better than the competitors. I am 100% satisfied. And I will use Affordable Overhead for ongoing maintenance of my garage door and opener.

Eric was FANTASTIC! My husband broke our door on a Thursday at 8am when we were rushing to get out of the house. It was off the track and the cable was totally popped off and the rails on either side were bent and damaged. I thought it was a total loss. I ran home after our appointment around 9:30a and the door had just been open for that hour and a half. We live in a safe neighborhood, but still - it just was a safety issue. I looked here on Angie's List and found a bunch of companies. I happened to click on Affordable Overhead Door because I saw another review saying they'd been able to come out same-day. I called around 10am and Eric was able to come out in 15 minutes! He was prompt, professional, and kind. He explained what had happened and everything he was going to do. He spend about 45 minutes or so repairing the issues and also lubricated the door and motor parts. We did damage the door quite a bit, so this is a temporary fix, but they were so great that we will get our new door and motor from them. Our motor is ok, I'd just prefer the increased security measures on the technology rich newer models. We are repurposing our current motor somewhere else. All in all, it was fantastic service, incredibly fast and efficient, and Eric was professional and a good teacher. Very happy with the serendipity of calling them. The service call was $95. I also got a quote for the new double-walled steel insulated door and motor. It will be ~$1800 because I am buying my own motor, which is ok by them! Definitely recommend this family owned father/son team (John and Eric); they are awesome!

They were good. They were very friendly, efficient, and punctual. They bent over backwards to get everything done properly for me. I would recommend them.

Eric was our service tech. He was excellent reattached garage door opener, replaced worn cable and return to install motor and motor control. John was our point of contact, great in regards to everything. We will definitely use again

John returned my call within a couple hours and came out the next afternoon. Fixed the door problem quickly and insured the same problem wouldn't happen again. Lubricated the key points of the door to,keep it running smoothly. Provided and programmed a new remote after determining that my existing one couldn't be repaired. Very knowledgeable, personable and professional.

Called ahead 30 minutes prior to arrival, arrived within promised appointment window, completed take-away of old opener and installation of new, including keypad outside and opener inside. The kit only came with one remote opener for the car, but he included a second, universal opener for my spouse's vehicle. He answered questions professionally, discussed maintenance and warranty, and features (LiftMaster MyQ home automation and smartphone app). They replaced our tension springs several years back, and we were happy with their work and prices, so we went back to Overhead for this job.

They said they'd be there within the hour and they were! Polite, professional and efficient!! Can't say enough good things. Fair price for service. Highly recommended!

Service was quick, John did a quality job

Very pleased with quality of door and installation would definitely recommend. Best price of three estimates- 545 dollars all in. Others were as high as 825 and couldn't get to me for three weeks. John is great to work with!

The owner, John, came to my home to measure my garage opening and show me color samples for a new door. He left an estimate for a new Amarr door. The extra fee for the woodgrain paint color was reasonable. All of my phone calls were returned promptly. After I approved the work, the custom door was manufactured in about two weeks. John and Eric arrived on time on the scheduled day for the installation and performed good work, including installing new metal tracks and torsion springs. The job took less than two hours, and they hauled away the old wooden door. They took the time to answer all of my questions. I would recommend them for new garage doors or repairs.

Very well. They were prompt, quick, and very professional. They had an easy fix and the cost was very reasonable. They did not try to sell me anything extra.

Couldn't have been more satisfied. The gentleman who took my initial call was very nice. They were actually able to come the same day for the repair and arrived within an hour and a half of my initial call. Informed me what was broken and the problem it caused. Went right to work fixing it and was finished within a 1/2 hr or so. I was very pleased as my car was trapped in the garage until they came.

The 2 guys arrived right when they said they would. After examining my problem, they determined that spring replacement would fix problem. Current springs were to strong for weight of door. Overall repair took about 30 minutes. I wasn't sure weather to give an A rating on price, since I have nothing to compare with. I would imagine they are in line with most other companies with price.

He did excellent, top notch. He was very courteous, thorough and very knowledgeable.

Garage door was damaged and stuck halfway open. Called them and they came out within a couple hours. Replaced some parts and aligned the door so it operates properly. Explained what they had done and gave me a quote on a new door. No pressure. Great response time and service.

Very pleased from beginning to end. My call was returned promptly, I was told the anticipated cost over the phone, the appointment time was kept with a call ahead notice and the service technician was professional, polite, knowledgeable and honest.

I called them on Saturday 9/6 and left a message. I was a little busy and played phone tag for a couple of days. Talked to him on the afternoon of 9/10 and he arrived at 5pm that day. It told him just about 40 minutes from start to finish. He was very polite and professional and started the work quickly. I would us them again, a hassle free experience.

It was wonderful. They came the same morning that I called. My door used to make a loud noise. They were very courteous, and didn't over charge me. I was very tickled with them. I will use them again and will let other people know about them.

The door,and opener seemed to be of the quality I expected but the installation was another story. Many (14+) large bolts were left scattered in the garage and driveway. I thought I had picked all of them up and disposed of them but at this late date I am still finding them. Their price was approximately $75.00 under the other quotes I got. This savings was not realized since I had to have a tire repaired due to one of the bolts becoming imbedded in one of my car tires. Cost to have the tire repaired, $100.00. Also the rails installed were lower that the original rails and consequently the new rails cover a portion of my electric box making it impossible to fully open. We are putting our home on the market soon and this situation could prove problematic. It has been quite awhile since we had this work done and I have been so upset about the electric box situation I put off leaving this review.
