I was totally satisfied with his work. There was one callback for a split piece of trim. He promptly ordered another piece and replaced the split trim. I plan to use him again for a total kitchen remodel. He is extremely competent, punctual, and trustworthy. He did a wonderful job on my bathroom! I highly recommend his remodeling services!

He was at all times professional, and was always on site as scheduled. The cabinets look great, and my kids love the new kitchen.

I considered Kevin after reading reviews on Angieslist. I called him and we discussed what I was looking for. I was very pleased with his responses and suggestions. Once we decided the scope of his involvement we settled on his fee and schedule. He stuck to the schedule, performed the work, which we even extended on-the-fly to include soffit framing, completed all the work professionally and proved to be of great assistance.
Description of Work: Kevin performed various plumbing and framing work to assist in my basement renovation project. He removed old leaky copper lines and replaced them with new PEX tubing. He also constructed soffits around the basement ductwork exactly to my specifications. Always punctual, polite and professional.

Bevan was helpful in the selection process (of the fixtures) and then was very cooperative and flexible about scheduling the installation once the parts were all in. I know he normally prefers bigger jobs but he was great about "fitting us in." He stayed in touch with me about scheduling and showed up when promised. I would definitely recommend him and use him again if we have the need.

Description of Work: We had our bathroom gutted and remodeled. Bevan was detailed in his estimate of what he would do and what would be left for my husband to do. He tiled, replaced fixtures, replaced some plumbing and built a new glassed in shower. His work was excellent and costs were right in line with the estimate. We are very pleased with the end result.

Description of Work: Being new to the area we searched through Angies List and found a variety of contractors to remodel our bathroom. Mr. Kushnar was highly rated and we asked to meet with him and he kindly did so recently in our home. We went over the parameters of our desires and he was most accomodating. Additionally, he was quite professional in advising us in a variety of methodology, products and prices. We have still to complete our bidding process but he is certainly at or near the top of our list and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience with him.

+ 3 moreWe had to make repairs and upgrade a bathroom before putting our house on the market. We contacted Bevan based on the good reviews from Angies List and we were not disappointed. We had a limited budget and he worked with us to do the most for what we could afford. The work was done in two weeks and the results are beautiful.
Description of Work: Removed old bathtub, ceramic tile, and acrylic liner. Repaired drywall. Installed new tub and ceramic tile to ceiling. Replaced fixtures for bathtub and shower in two bathrooms, also installed new kitchen faucet.

+ 0 moreHe took out the tub, the tile, and the fixtures. He is excellent. He put in a shower stall with porcelain tile. He also put in a new floor with porcelain tile. He installed the commode, the pedestal sink, and all of the fixtures. He's always on time. He always works continuously. There are no breaks. He does take a half hour for lunch. When he was here, he worked the day. He does subcontract for the porcelain tile work. The people that he had were really good. They were very timely. He's very cooperative and very easy to work with. I cannot say enough about him. He's very professional.

+ 4 moreBevan remodeled our bathroom a year ago and we were very pleased with the results. Since then, whenever I have a plumbing predicament or other carpentry job, he is the person I call to help. Last summer I had a "leak" around the base of a toilet, and Bevan stopped by to take care of the problem. When my husband and I decided to turn our laundry room into a "workout" facility, Bevan was able to perform all of the above jobs in just one day. He is always very punctual and professional and I would highly recommend him for a major remodeling like a kitchen or bath as well as small jobs that a homeowner cannot perform themselves.
Description of Work: Bevan hung utility cabinets over the washer and dryer, installed a mounting for a 40" TV, boxed in an unsightly support pole, laid quarter round around the entire room, (14" by 17") and trimmed out the laundry chute.

Description of Work: We discovered that the wooden floor under the tile in the bathroom and the wooden joists were rotten beyond repair due to the toilet leaking underneath the floor, presumably for many years. We sought bids from several people and Bevan Kushner's bid was the most complete and the most detailed. It was not the cheapest but seemed reasonable given that it was necessary to demolish the bathroom and replace the floor joists, the subfloor, the floor tile, wall tile and fixtures. Plumbing work included replacement of all drains and vents for toilet and sink, rework copper line, install new shut off valves replace lead toilet drain to PVC, set cast iron tub, install drain/waste overflow, new tub/shower valve, new toilet and new lavatory faucet. Tile work included installations all tile around perimeter of room up to 4' high and around perimeter of shower up to 7" high. Floor and wall tile to be installed over new Durock. He furnished certification of insurance for workman's compensation and liability. Bevan responded to my inquiry promptly, and came to look at the job the next day in the first floor apartment of a 100 year old duplex I own. We keep those apartments as if we lived there and were concerned that the work be of high quality and that the tenant could have confidence that his belongings be safe. Bevan assured us of that and made every effort to keep the dust down during demolition and removed all debris immediately. Time was a consideration for the safety of the tenant and we were fortunate that Bevan had some time to squeeze in this job while waiting for some orders needed for a job he had in process. We chose Bevan who we found through Angie's List over a man who had come highly recommended from a plumber we hold in high esteem because he impressed us with his thoroughness, choosing to replace the toilet drain with PVC to bring it to code. Others did not think that necessary but I thought it made good sense. I sure didn't want to have to tear it all out again. He told us how to get a permit for a dumpster and managed to accomplish the demolition in one day. He told us where to look for the quality fixtures we wanted and when he would need them, and managed to complete the work a little ahead of schedule even though the old building required some adjustments to fit the vanity in a corner. I felt he went above and beyond the contract; I wish I could be more specific, but he didn't leave any "rough edges." My husband is very knowledgeable and can be very critical of any "short cuts" but we were both very pleased as was our tenant.

+ -1 moreHe gave me a rough estimate based on his initial impressions. It was pretty high actually and it was close to $15000. I think it was a little bit more in depth than what we were thinking. There was no downfall with the estimate process. He was very flexible and he was a nice guy. We really liked him but we’re not looking to have that level of work. He told us if we need more estimates to give him a call, but we haven’t done that just because we haven’t had the need for it. There were no complications with the company. I would recommend him. I thought he was honest and fair. He seemed to be cordial to work with. I think he was upfront with us and he didn’t mislead us in anyway. I think he gave us his honest opinion. He was on time and courteous. He waited around our house for a couple of minutes while I was trying to get home. We had no problems at all. We will use his services again in the future.
Description of Work: We got an estimate from Bevan Kushner Contracting. We did not use his services. He came out on September 1st to give us an estimate for remodeling our bathroom. We have a very old house with an old bathroom, and I think he was looking at it from a long term perspective, and so he proposed more extensive work than we kind of predicted.

+ 3 moreMy husband and I are very pleased with the results. We now have a beautiful bathroom to enhance our home. More importantly, we get to enjoy the renovation. Bevan was always punctual and polite when working on our project. He made sure the other tradesmen completed their tasks on time as well, so our project ran smoothly. During the demolition phase, the debris was contained in the bathroom, and was cleaned up every day. Bevan rebuilt the shower himself and the frame around the jacuzzi. We wanted a picture frame effect around the mirrors and he customized this for us. He also installed the plumbing for the tub, shower, double sinks, and toilet. All in all, we are very pleased with our job and would highly recommend Bevan to our friends and neighbors.
Description of Work: Remodeled 17 year old bathroom. Rebuilt shower with glass walls, travertine tile in entire bathroom, new mirrors, and all fixtures.

I did feel he had the experience, but I did not feel he gave me the assistance I needed to make decisions since this was the first time we had ever had anything remodeled and we also felt he price was a little high
