KMACK PAINTING

We hired Kevin McKinney for interior painting and staining. He didn't sand, he didn't tape. He gave a sob story about needing more money to pay his bills, packs up his stuff, and never comes back. He touched up areas with the wrong colors and then acted like it wasn't his fault for grabbing the wrong paint can. There is stain on the walls and not on the stairs because he didn't tape. It was terrible. He was also careless about moving furniture and left a large gash in our hardwood floors. He was here on and off for three weeks-- coming at odd hours, leaving early. He always had excuses. He brought a guy named Ricky who is just as terrible. As he was walking out the door and I was asking him if he was going to fix the mistakes he said "Boy, if you keep talking I'm going to punch you between the eyes."

We hired Kmack Painting (Kevin McKinney) to stain our fence. We were given a bid to roll the stain on. He said he could not spray the paint because of the proximity of other houses and the street. The bid seemed high but we needed to have the fence stained. We gave him a down payment to buy the paint and he gave us a start date. Because of weather, he got started later than we would have liked and had to stop without doing any work on the first day. He came back and got started the next day. Kevin brought a helper with him. They had been painting for awhile when they took a brake and my wife and I looked at the work that had been done so far. My wife made a comment that they needed to do some touch up in places. This made Kevin mad and he stormed off and left for the day. He called later and I convinced him to come back the next day and finish the job which he did. We asked him to paint the stain on in the vertical stroke in line with the wood. To which he agreed. The job was done very sloppy manner. And he left a couple of slashes of stain just for meanness so he would show us. The sad part is, the helper was more professional than Kevin. I wouldn t hire this guy again to paint an outhouse if I had one. Let alone my house or anything else.
