SHANNON'S HARDWOOD FLOORING

Contracted for a high grade knot free oak hardwood the same as was installed by another company at an earlier time. Miller installed wood with knots and defects and claimed it would pass for Select #1 but in fact was a #2 lesser grade wood. The refinishing of the floor has multiple sander marks and dirt in the polyurethane sealer. The cherry stain was applied un-evenly and spotty. Low grade, inexperienced people were used to do the work and were largely un-supervised and shoddy. One Heat/AC duct opening was completely covered over during the install and Miller was slow in returning to fix the problem and was rude and argumentative at every turn. The transition point where the new wood meets the old had some difference in height and this was treated very poorly and now creaks when you walk across it. Miller's remedy to make up for the shoddy workmanship and the inferior wood supplied was to give a discount of $400 after we expressed our dissatisfaction.

They did a really good job and I was very pleased. It was very nice to have all of the work done by one company. It is wonderful. They were more than fair and very honest.
