I spent a lot of money with Pickett and Dunn about 12 years ago to have some roofing done and to line approximately 120 ft of box gutters with copper. The subcontractor that did the copper did not do it correctly and the seams are coming apart. I contacted Clarence Pickett to have him come and look at the problem and fix it since he told me and quot;if you line these gutters with copper, you won't have to worry about them ever again.and quot; I don't equate 12 years as being not having to worry about them and quot;ever again.and quot; Clarence did not show up for the appointment he set with me. Repair on the faulty workmanship is going to cost me approximately $4-5K, depending on what problems the contractor encounters when they start the cleaning and repair work. They won't give me a fixed price on repair, only replacement, which is 2x the cost to repair the work. If I were planning on staying in this house another 30 years, I'd spend the extra money and have a reputable contractor replace the whole thing. Pickett and Dunn should be liable for fixing the shoddy work, but if they won't even show up for an appointment, I'm unsure why anyone would consider using their services.

Had a hail storm in late May that affected a lot of homeowners. Received several bids and decided on Pickett and Dunn since they were the most comprehensive and we are personally acquainted with the owners family. Gave plenty of notice on the start date and very impressed with their quality of their workmanship. example - they used hammer/nail on roof instead of nail guns, Hand painted instead of using paint sprayer, hauled away and cleaned up after each job was completed.

They are very courteous and I think it was competitive price. They are very efficient.

They charge top dollar.

The work was excellent quality, and once we got them to our house it was complete within a week. However, it took 6 months and many phone calls to get our estimate. We like their work and wanted them to contract for our back porch gutters and roof leak. Six months after we signed the quote, they had not come to do the work (despite multiple phone calls). At this point we had sustained significant damage to the roof and ceiling, and finally had to negate to contract and call someone else.
