Scheduled a week in advance. Specifically asked for after work hours and was told that could be accommodated. No one showed up. I called to follow up and one man said that I was not on the schedule. He made a call, then that guy called me, then he needed to call someone else, and finally that person called me. No one seemed to know what was going on. And each time I was questioned about when I scheduled so that they could "figure out the source of the miscommunication." I wrote it down as I was on the phone with the woman, so I know I had the correct day and time, but they implied that I did not. For what it's worth, they did offer to reschedule, but after planning my evening around them for nothing, I'm not really inclined to do so.

Excellent and timely work. Very satisfied.
Description of Work: Encapsulated crawlspace by placing plastic membrane on ground and interior foundation walls. Added support jacks under main beam to offset settlement from 40 years of both inadequate support and excessive moisture. Added a dehumidifier to control moisture. Results are more level floor which is warmer and should result in lower utilities as well as increased longevity of structure.

It was very easy to make an appointment and they were very nice over the phone. The man that came out was very nice and seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He took pictures of our crawl space while he was down there, which helped me get a good idea of what all we were dealing with. He did seem to make the crawl space seem like it was horrible, but I know that the amount of mold and moisture wasn't really that bad. So, I did think there were some scare tactics involved. I am sure the plan they had would have fixed the problem, but the price was much more than we were planning on spending. This will probably not be our forever home, so we didn't want to overspend on fixing this problem if another plan would get rid of the mold and moisture for a lower price. In addition, the system they had was a patented system, so I am not sure how much of what I was paying was actually just for the brand. They did mention that their dehumidifier was 1500.00, so you could buy your own for much cheaper (although it may not work as great). The salesman also was able to talk to his boss and get the price down another 1000.00 or so, but it was still more than we had budgeted. After looking online, I did have some concerns with the way that they were planning on encapsulating the crawlspace. For one, I know that sealing the vents may not pass many home inspections, since the current recommendation is that they are open. Also, many people have had a hard time with termite inspections and warranties since the termite companies cannot see the wood in the crawl space. Overall, I am sure this system would have fixed the problem, it was just a little overkill based on our current needs and budget.
Description of Work: We had some water in our crawlspace and some mold from the moisture. We needed to get the water re-mediated and also needed a sump pump installed. Their proposal was for removal of debris, install an inside perimeter drain and sump with discharge, and install the electrical needed for that, drainage floor matting, silver wall installation, clean space material floor and walls, seal vents, dehumidifier and mold treatment.

Excellent job. On time, no surprises.
Description of Work: After having my basement flood 3 times and going through all the steps (regrading gutter work, etc.) we decided to have our basement waterproofed. Four different companies came to look at the problem. All gave what they felt was the proper way to proceed. All basically said the same and after extensive reviews both calling past users and internet reviews, we decided to use J&D Basement Systems. Before the work started the supervisor who would be at my house when the work was done came to take a final look. Work proceeded the day it was supposed to. All areas in the basement was covered by plastic as well as stairs, and carpet leading to the basement. There was three workers and they worked. Things were kept clean, and if I had any questions during the work they were answered. The results were excellent. After the work was done very little vacuum work had to be done. While the price was higher then all quotes, to me it was well worth the extra money. Outstanding job!!
