I called this store to see if they had pool paint and I was quoted a price of $59.00 per gallon by the manager Rachel. Unfortunately when I showed up to get the paint I found out that the price was actually $79.00 per gallon. For a homeowner that would be frustrating and may cost you time. However being a contractor I often bid my jobs based on the cost of materials and labor. When I have to pay almost 50 percent more than expected for the materials, it not only wipes out any profit that I had built into the price but can even cost me money to do the job. Not a good way to stay in business. This is not the first time that this has happened to me with this store, which is probably why the parking lot is always empty when I go by there. Anyway, from now on I will stick with Porter Paints. At least they have decent prices and will stand by the price that they quote you.
