Brandon and the personnel in the office were professional, punctual, and happy to answer any questions with realistic, easy to understand answers. He provided us with names of contractors that he had previous experience with certain projects that were imperative to be fixed. He came out a second time, once the utilities had been fully restored. He made sure to run the water throughout the entire house, and test every light switch and electrical switch.
Description of Work: Brandon came out to the house, which was a foreclosure and had some extensive concrete sinking issues, and inspected it top to bottom. He was extremely thorough, and answered any and all questions my husband and I had for him. He is a civil engineer, which is what we wanted since we were concerned about structural and/or utility issues. He provided a comprehensive report the same day via emailed PDF, that laid every defect out, along with its severity, in both industry and layman's terms.

We signed a contract for a 115 year old house on a hill. There was some bowing and cracking on an exterior wall that left us concerned. Our home inspector agreed and advised we should get a structural engineer out to look at the house. Professional Inspections was referred to us by our realtor who had used them several other times with good results. Professional Inspections returned our call within 24 hours of leaving a message and we were able to get an appointment for two days later, which was a Saturday at 8 A.M. to accommodate our purchase contract inspection period. They would have made it sooner had it not been for a inclement weather. They sent confirmation emails and called the day before to verify the appointment. The inspector arrived on time, patiently listened to my concerns while showing him each place around the perimeter that was cause for concern. He took measurements, pictures, and explained each problem while my husband and I watched over his shoulder so we could have a first hand understanding of the problems. He also answered my hypothetical questions, and was able to explain the risk of additional repairs that might not be evident until the repair work had started. Even though I did not view the prognoses as damning and said such he was quick to point out that regardless of the cause he did not want to underscore that the house had structural issues that needed attention. He also pointed out how and quot;recent renovationand quot; might be covering up the true extent of the problem. At the conclusion of the inspection the Engineer double checked to see when we had to have the report by and was kind enough to provide the full report plus photos the next day- which was a Sunday. The report included the cause of the problem, recommended work, plus the cost range for a permanent cure. My husband and I were very happy with the service and will use Professional Inspection again.
