I could not be any happier with what Matracia did for us today. They had to backfill the ground under my driveway, walkway and front porch. I called Matracia to get an estimate on concrete repair. Someone actually answered the phone!! I explained what I needed and he was sorry but they do not perform the service. He recommended a contact where he ordered his concrete stating they could recommend someone. I would recommend this company as very responsive and willing to recommend others if they do not perform a particular concrete related service.

They were supposed to come out and do an estimate, but they never came out or scheduled a day to come out.

I first met Mr. Matracia in April of 2012 after seeing his company truck on the road and calling the phone number. He came out the same day and provided a price for and a thorough explanation of the work he would do to lift the concrete walkway and step that had fallen away from my front porch due to settling of the ground beneath. I waited a year, called him again, and he still had a copy of the proposal he had given me the previous year. He came out to the house again to inspect the walkway, step and porch. Further settling had occurred. He said he could still lift the concrete according to the proposal he had given me the previous year. I asked him about options, and he said the concrete could be torn out and replaced with reinforcements to hold the walkway and step to the porch as protection against further settling. Because Mr. Matracia's company does not replace concrete, he gave me the name of a professional who does. We did end up getting the concrete replaced with another company. I appreciated Mr. Matracia's help and professionalism. His honesty and advice helped me solve the problem even though the solution we eventually chose meant he did not get the job. I trusted him further because our neighbor, who works building roads for the state, also had recommended his company. I learned that Mr. Matracia has been in the construction business for many years, and so I asked him about another issue around our home's foundation, and he gave me some advice on that as well. He was a pleasure to meet.

Ray responded promptly to my phone call and came to my house the next day to provide an estimate. I had expected that the walkway would have to be replaced, but Ray explained that, since the walkway was still in good condition, it would be much easier and cheaper to simply lift the walkway. His quote was very reasonable, and two of his workers showed up the next morning and had the job completed by mid-afternoon. My wife and I are both very satisfied with the results. Our only regret is that we waited so long to have the work done!

Chuck and John worked for me for two days without hardly taking a break either day. I expected this job to take at least three days, but they completed my job in two days which cost $700 less than I expected. They were very neat and professional and I am extremely pleased with the work they did for me. I watched as they filled the voids after drilling holes neatly in the porch, drive and garage. They filled the holes and cleaned up everything. I should have had this done years earlier. I am happy to know that I won't have other animals take up residence under my porch and most importantly, my drive and garage are stable and should be solid for years to come. (I'll be sure my gutter system is working properly!) Chuck and John even checked my patio in back and told me it was stable and ok to build a deck over. I highly recommend this company and feel I got more than my money's worth by calling Matracia Contracting.
