Lipps Pool & Spa

Someone came out to the house, he seemed to be a nice guy, he looked at the heater pointed out several installation flaws and pronounced that the heater needed to be replaced. I got the distinct impression he just didnt feel like messing with it he didnt even look up the error code it was displaying. I paid close to $100 for this call. Several weeks later a different service fixed the heater by installing a $75 part and charged me another $75 to install it.

We have an 18 X 36 in-ground pool that needed a new liner (was about 15 years old). We called several pool companies to compare prices and settled on Lipps, who also closes our pool for us every year. The whole process took about 3 1/2 weeks from the day they came out to measure until installation was complete. The actual installation took about 5 hours, and then they returned the next day to cut in the skimmer/jets etc after the water reached a certain level . Lipps did a fantastic job...the pool looks beautiful!! Extremely satisfied!!

During the construction, we had some weather issues. We signed an agreement in March, and they said they'd have it open by end of May. A lot of the delay was due to the weather and they weren't able to get the pool finished until the end of August. Regarding the closing, I made the appointment early in the year so scheduling wasn't a big deal. I wasn't at home during the time of service.

I had dealt with them for several years. One day I needed something done, and I was unable to get a hold of anyone in the company. Finally, his son called me, and told me that they no longer wanted to do business with me. It was really out of nowhere, and for no apparant reason.

Every time Frank came out he charged 85.00 no mater what he did. On one occasion he came to get a part off the hot tub and charged 85.00. Its a rip off.........

They have a store where they stock stuff and they give me free water testing which I think is a nice feature. Their location is very good for me. Their work is very, very good and I haven’t had a problem with their work. They can order parts for me if I can’t get it. I have got a pool that is 30 years old and I still need parts for it. They put the pool in the ground and they support it. I never had a problem getting a part for it if they had ordered but it takes couple of days. They are pretty good.

We paid cash on delivery. It had a cover on it when it was delivered. When we took off the cover later, we noticed there was a large gash and scrape marks on one of the corners. We immediately contacted them. The man we purchased it from said he needed to talk to the owner. They jerked us around for about a month. We couldn't ever get a definitive answer, so my husband finally went in on November 25th. They gave him all the chemicals we needed for free at that time. They later told us thatbecause my husband accepted the free chemicals, that was our agreement to the settlement to the issue. We never agreed to that, and they had told us at the time of purchase that the chemicals would be included for free. I kept calling them again, and they said they would talk to the company that they get the hot tubs from, which is Royal Spas in Indianapolis. Royal Spa refused to do anything.

The serviceman was on time, efficient, and helpful in answering my numerous questions.
