FLORENCE NURSERY & FLORAL SHOP

I did not use their service. A neighbor recommended them so I visited Florence Nursery and spoke with the landscaping boss, a pleasant young man. He visited my house, took pictures and reviewed the job which included stonework and landscaping, easily a 10K job. I visited FN the next week, reviewed the job with the stonework man. Good so far. The following week I stopped by for my scheduled appointment to finalize my plans and I got stood up. No phone call, no email. The landscaping boss was not there. I called two weeks later to give them the benefit of the doubt and I still have not heard from them. I would have been a good customer, respectful, friendly and courteous. The only thing that makes any sense is that maybe they don't need my money.

We had just done an extensive remodel on our home which included removing the old driveway and moving the new driveway to the other side of the house. We had Florence Nursery come in for all the landscaping. They were great up front, but when the work was being done they skipped out on things they were suppossed to do. We had a bunch of rock that was in the ground from where the old driveway was. They were suppossed to use a rock hound to remove all the old rock from the soil. There supervisior, Todd, told the crew not to do it once they started working.

We lost 30% or so of the shrubs. We took well care of them but some of the shrubs required acid rich soil and thats why they didn't do well. We figured most Nurseries are very knowledgeable knowing what to plant in certain conditions. I would not recommend them mainly because of the cost. You should get what you pay for and we got ripped off. They only had a 1 year guarantee so they did not replace any shrubs that didn't make it.
