A & A Lawncare & Landscaping

They have done a great job with the spring clean up and then spraying for weeds. It looks a lot better then with a prior company. They mow our grass weekly and do a great job with that as well. We paid ~ 3000 for the year but I believe ~ 1/2 went to the spring clean up (landscaping) and maintenance. They also spray for weeds in the landscaping but also the lawn and mow the lawn weekly. Therefore, we have turned over the entire outside of our house to them and very happy we did this.

Showed up and applied treatments while we were out. Second treatment for the year. Lawns are greening up and filling in nicely.. Weed killer is working even on violets which I have NEVER been able to get rid of. Very happy with service so far. More treatments due on 1 year contract.

This is not the company's fault. It would be nice if the companies on Angie's list would provide a service area with their ads.

Everything went as expected, did make call and that was handled right away to my satisfaction.

The price was far below any other quote that I had received. Service was scheduled for a Saturday but the weather was HORRIBLE and the crew did not come. To my surprise, they arrived the next day (Sunday) and completed the job in an hour. I was very impressed with the communication and service and I will definitely use them in the future.

They should be here eight times this coming year because I ordered aeration and overseeding as well. They came out seven times last year as well. It costs $35 each time. They do the fertilizing five times per year. The service calls go very well.

They were courteous, professional, and efficient. I have a lot of lawn ornaments and they were careful with them. They did an excellent job of trimming very overgrown shrubs and cleaning up garden and yard full of plant debris. I purchased a coupon and it was a very good value. I was very satisfied with the work. I would definitely use this company again.

Cost was significantly higher than who I have used in the past (who is no longer is business so maybe they were too cheap and could not stay in business :) Interaction with A&A personnel and quality of work was great experience. I called for quote on fall leaf clean up and possibly mowing service for 2016. They made an appt for the following day. Todd showed up on time, was friendly and helpful. Did not pressure me to make a decision. Gave me a small discount as Angie's List Member. I was shocked at cost for leaf removal but really wanted it done so I agreed .... especially since I felt the mowing service quote for 2016 was reasonable. Made appt for leaf removal the following week. Workers showed up on time and did an excellent job. Took two of them about 2 hours so I still feel like the price was high but they worked hard and quote was not based on time. Overall I was satisfied and hope that lawn service goes as well starting in the spring!

We would hire them again for landscaping and continue using them for lawn mowing.

Our only issue we’ve ever had with them is startup in the spring and it happens every year. He agrees it’s an issue they need to deal with but for the past 2 years it’s been a problem. During spring rainy season all the neighbors (who also use various lawn services) seem to somehow be getting their grass cut but ours is pushing 12” and looks a mess before A&A can get to us because “it’s been too wet”. Once they get started they are on top of it all summer and everything runs smoothly. But we’ve had to really pester them for the past 2 years to get going in the Spring. They’re just so nice and do such a good job the rest of the time we’ve stayed with them. I’d probably give them a B+ rating.

Andrew contacted me immediately after my inquiry, and scheduled the work for the next day. His two man crew arrived promptly, and completed the work very thoroughly and professionally. The entire experience was excellent, from my initial contact, to the completion of the work. Based on this experience, I'll be utilizing A&A for all of my lawn and landscaping needs next year.

A&A removed all the weeds and did an excellent job.

These guys are the best! They show when they say they do, are polite and do a follow up call after the service to make sure all is good. We have used them for several years and are always are go to landscape co. I recommend them all of the time!

Overall rating would be A, the only concern I had was when they changed the way they bid jobs and the first job the gave me a price on was very high. Once they did the work the bill was adjusted down and I was satisfied. I continue to use them and would recommend them.

This was a significant job that took 3 guys almost 2 days work. The works are incredibly hard working and do a nice job. The price was fair for the amount of work. Very professional and hard working employees.

I have used the company for about a year and a half. They provide a great service at a reasonable price. They are a smaller company. They have great customer service. Two technicians came out recently and completed the job in an hour. They were polite and quick to respond. I had no problem scheduling the service.

It took them 2 weeks to do the work originally. When they treat my lawn they don't come to my door - we have a contract that they come out so often to treat. I don't get a heads up as to when they are coming. They do a great job on their work. However, my point person on the landscape job didn't seem interested in hearing my opinions. After I got the landscaping done, they offered me treatment for $600. After the mulch treatment was done, they sent me a bill for $800. I called and spoke with the owner and he begrudgingly allowed me to pay the $600. During the landscaping process, they also upcharged me by $2000 for taking out the old landscaping -- which wasn't mentioned in the original estimate.

They have been great. They are always on time and reasonably priced. They make sure you are happy with their services. I highly recommend them.

Lawn treatment is going very well this year. This is the first year that I've used A&A Lawn service and the yard is looking great. No weeds. If I have any issues they come out and correct right away. I am very pleased with the service....

We use them and we like them quite a bit. We have been using them for years. They have done most of the work and they have done a good job. Their price is very reasonable. If we want to do anything extra than the contract work then we pay extra. They charge $25 a cut. If they don't do a cut during that week because it was too hot to cut, then they just discount stuff and take that away. They are very good. We are very happy with them. They are very good to work with. They have an excellent back-up. Last winter, it was snowing heavily and I was out of town. My wife couldn't do the work, so we called them to do the work. They cleared the driveway for $55 and it was a reasonable price. Our driveway is not small. They came and did the work. They come and do the work whenever we need anything to be done.

They did not show up. I called, and was told they would the following day, and never showed up and never called. I called them to cancel everything. They are non-responsive and unreliable, and there are actual professional companies out there that do the work when they say they'll do the work.

A&A is TERRIBLE!!! Your experience begins with a very prompt and fair quote, full of empty promises and more questions left to answer. I called to schedule a weekly lawn mowing service because I had a recent knee surgery leaving me unable to perform yard work. I also scheduled a fall cleanup landscaping package with a price of just under $300. The lawn mowing guys came out a week and a half later. They only mowed the front and side yard and completely neglected the backyard and trimming around our fence. I called A&A and they told them their guys didn't touch the back or trimming. He said they would send someone out the next day to handle. Sure enough, the next day someone did come out and cut the back, but again neglected the trimming. I called a third time and they said the next time they come out o mow, he will make sure they do everything that was included in the original quote. As for the landscaping package I scheduled...well, that was 3 weeks ago. I called a couple of days ago and asked where the alndscaping guys were and we had planned on it being done already for baby shower we were having the upcoming Saturday. He said the arliest he would be able to get it doe would be later the following week. I said forget it, you just lost $300. He called back adn said he would be able to have it done by 7pm on Saturday before our shower. Well, Saturday came and went and I never saw a single person, never received a single phone call. I tied calling 4 times trying to get a hold of someone and never did. In summary, this company does not know that customers drive business. If you are disrespectful to customers, they tell their friends, those fri4ends tell their friends, so on and so forth. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this company for anything, not even to scoop the dog poop up in my yard. I'm sure they would find a way to screw that up too.

I have been using them for a year. It's been fine so far. All the services are being done. They show up on the days that they have designated. If there is some weather change, they don't skip that week; they will come and make up that. When I come home, I can tell the grass has been cut. I've had other services that spent 5 minutes doing the whole yard and you can't even tell that they were there and had cut the grass. They do a good job in the edging and cleaning up and everything. I am really happy with them. The price is a little high, but you get the quality.

Lawn mowing at $40 per week was performed OK. They did not respond to request to stop blowing grass down basement steps. We had to call occasionally to get them to be more responsive. Otherwise mowing and trimming were OK. The pricing "F" was based on our experience with leaf gathering. This is a moderate sized suburban lot (mowing cost $40) with several trees in the back yard and a couple small trees in the front. They did a reasonably good job of gathering the leaves. The question is how much should it cost to gather the leaves in this yard? They advised that it took them 22 hours of work to gather the leaves and the cost was $770. No one who knew the yard could believe it when I told them this price. Eventually we sent the company a check for $325.

That lawn was cut well and edged so it looks nice. He gives a weekly/bi-weekly cut option. I have asked him to come and do some weeding and lay some mulch down in the front yard in order to improve the house curb appeal.
