Due to it being spring the weather did not cooperate.Lots of rain.The guys we`re great.The job went from 4 days to several weeks.They said they wanted it done right,the ground was so saturated it had to dry out,they would not pour concrete on a rainey day.They we're good guys.I felt sorry for them it took so long for them to finish the job.

Darrell Renfro and the members of his team did a beautiful job. We are quite pleased! His workers are very conscientious and strive to achieve the best possible results. Darrell was present at all times. He and his men work well together. We had to wait quite a long time for him to begin this job, since the wet weather has put him behind schedule. It was well worth the wait.

Initial call returned promptly and estimate given on date expected. It was October and so he suggested I wait until spring for the job because concrete work in winter is more time consuming and costly. I appreciated that information up front and opted to wait until this spring. The man is very busy but always responsive when I called to find out when the job would be done- the rainy weather this spring was a constant obstacle, understandably. They came and completed the work in two days- Mr. Renfro was on site both days all day. He and his crew were great and did a wonderful job. Everything looks great- the old driveway had terrible drainage issues that put water into the garage and back yard and that is no longer an issue. Highly recommend.

Renfro Concrete was responsive and called when they could come to do the job. We have found that, in the colder rainy months That it is best to delay pouring concrete until warmer drier weather. This prevents future cracking and chipping. Anyway, I called in Late winter to get an estimate, and they came when promised and gave me bid on 2 different jobs at sites 40 miles apart. The prices were very fair And both jobs required and quot;specialand quot; provisions. The job we had completed required the concrete to be moved via wheelbarrow to complete the driveway because a truck would be too heavy to bring it back on our present drive. The job went well. Renfro had a large, professional crew that worked hard and finished the job well. There was some miscommunication about the size of the raised garden (built of dry concrete blocks) and they re-built it to our specifications and asked if we wanted the extra stone (we did) and stacked it neatly in the yard. The work was excellent, communication great and design has been super. Thanks! I would recommend them to anyone. Now we are saving money for the next project.

They were here when they said they would be. Kept me informed about all details and did an excellent job. I couldn't ask for anything more. They spent extra time to get the grading right and fix a long standing drainage problem we had with the old drive.

We have used this company previously for a new driveway. I talked to Darryl Renfro in the fall of 2012 about doing retaining walls for our two front trees as our front yard has a severe slope. He gave me a quote - could have done it in the fall but we requested he wait until the spring to do the job. He called me in April 2013 - they came out and was done the same day. They are always friendly, professional, do exactly what they say and always clean up so that you never would have known they were there. No contract - nice to do business with someone who is true to his word - a true gentleman and professional. We will definitely use them again.

They were recommended to me by a friend which was the only reason I used them to begin with. They did a good job and everything went very well. I am not sure about the demeanor of their crew since I was at work while they were performing the job. The quality of their work is work is very good and I am well satisfied with it. They were probably medium priced considering they had to come out a long way which involved a long travel time. They did not go overboard on anything but just did their job and what was required of them.

The guy showed up and was very cordial and patient. They explained the work very well. We decided to wait to do the work but would use them when we decide to move forward.

Mr. Renfro came to my house and then went to my patio home to give me a price. I was more than pleased. So, I told him I wanted his company to do the job and he was very honest and said they were approx 20 jobs ahead of me due to weather and it may be a couple of months out. That was fine with me. It was approx 5-6 weeks and believe me, it was well worth the wait! They got both jobs done today at both homes. His crews very nice and did an outstanding job! I will certainly be passing Renfro Concrete onto others!

Mr. Renfro handled the on-site estimate personally. He returned calls in a timely fashion every time. He listened to our description of what we wanted and addressed our concerns especially about water pooling on the current driveway. He put us at the top of his list but when weather delayed the project he called days ahead so we knew when he intended to commence work. The project was scheduled as a 3-day job and it took 3 days. All of his workers are regular employees that seemed to have worked together a lot. They took care of the project with a lot of pride in workmanship. I think the appearance of the new driveway and garage floor is definitely a home-run for curb appeal and home value.

Their price was a little high. I did not get any other prices. But once I found out that the project will cost that much, I knew I did not have the money so I just did not go with anybody else. They took a little while to return my phone call, but once they did, they came out and they gave me the estimate.

Renfro Concrete Construction were very punctual. The finished product looked very nice. They were pleasant to work with. They were professional and were low bid so I think they did a very good product for a very good price. There was one little crack but it was in the same place as a crack on the original so it is probably not their fault.

There was nothing negative with the experience that I had with them during their quoting. It was fun. They were there when they said they would be there.

I couldn't be happier with Mr. Renfro and his team. Ours was a relatively small project and he suggested that we wait until he had a larger project in our area. He quoted two prices, based on having the work completed immediately or waiting until he had a work crew and equipment in our neighborhood. I really appreciated the opportunity to save $$ based on being more efficient. Another contractor quoted $2,000 for the same project so I feel like we got a very good deal. And the job was done magically! He called the week prior and then again the day before to let us know they would be starting. The next day when I got home from work the sidewalk was suddenly gone. And the next day a new one had been poured! When he came by the next day to pick up a check he inspected the project and urged us to call him if we continue to have any trouble with drainage around the sidewalk.

Mr. Renfro arrived on time for the estimate. He took great care to understand exactly what we needed to be done. His son supervises the work crews, and he brought his son by our house before the job was done to make sure that his son knew exactly what we needed. The son and the work crew arrived on time on the day that the work was scheduled, and all work was completed just as we wanted. We could tell that the work was performed efficiently and professionally. The work crew cleaned up all areas very thoroughly when the job was finished. If Angie's List had an A-plus grade, I would give it to them.

Great. Darryl came out within two days of our call for an estimate. My husband, a retired judge and I were so impressed with Darryl's personable manner an obvious experience that we signed a contract that day. So glad we did. We got a professional job on time and at a reasonable cost by a local small family business who really know what they are doing.

When my son purchased a car, we knew a driveway addition was necessary to accommodate parking a 3rd vehicle. I called 3 contractors found on Angie's List to request bids. Renfro was prompt to respond, come out to look at the job and bid. Of the other 2 contractors, one called once but never got back with me and the other took 3 weeks to bid, hundreds higher than Renfro. We chose to go with Renfro. They told me it would be about 4 weeks before they could get out to do the job. There was a slight delay with a particularly rainy week so it was delayed but they kept me informed. They called on a Friday to say they would be out Monday. Early Monday morning they arrived and were digging right away. I had some playset posts set in concrete that had been cut off at ground level and asked if they could use the backhoe to pluck them out of the ground. Without hesitation, the posts were out and in the dump truck an NO EXTRA CHARGE!! Every one of the crew were friendly, accommodating and professional. The driveway addition is very nicely finished with appropriate expansion joints, slope and depth. I ABSOLUTELY would call them again and highly recommend their service!

I'm very pleased with the results! Darrell was recommended by my contractor (Sam Graham Design and Construction) and he and his crew have been very pleasant to work with. I'm also impressed with their attention to detail and with their overall work ethic. They have arrived early in the AM (by 7:30 or 8) each day this week and have worked as late as 5:30 to get the necessary work done. They started on Monday, August 20 and plan to finish tomorrow, 8/24, by pouring and smoothing the garage floor slab. They have been neat, clean, and responsive to every question or problem. The crew of 5 are all related in some way - I talked with Darrell's son today, and Darrell has told me that he has bought the business from his dad. All are excellent workers and seldom take breaks - I heard one of them saying, "Well, we could be talking or we could be working..." and that about sums it up. They are a great blend of state-of-the-art equipment and good-ol'-boy camaraderie, and I recommend them, without hesitation.

Darrell Renfro's bid was the lowball of the estimates I obtained -- lower by almost $2000 than the others. It was also written on the back of a business card instead of in contract form. I agonized for a couple of weeks over hiring them because the usual wisdom dictates tossing out the lowest bid. However, their reviews here on Angie's List were so glowing that I decided to take a chance. I am tickled to report that they did a wonderful job. They arrived on time, 8AM, and were finished before 6PM. The crew of five or six men was polite, friendly, and very helpful. During the demolition of the old carport floor, they even found our spare house key which we had forgotten to remove, and they hung it carefully in a spot near the back door where we would find it afterward. The new floor is beautiful! It was properly graded away from the house so we won't have any more drainage problems during big storms. The light broom finish provides good traction, and the little details, like corners and the new steps to the back door, all look great. I'm glad that I took a chance on the lowball bid, and I wouldn't hesitate to hire Renfro again in the future.

We found Renfro Co. on angie's list. We received 3 bids and went with Renfro. Darrell was great. On time, price was as quoted and very nice to deal with. The work was performed exactly as agreed to and looks great ! Darrell went the extra mile in delivering some topsoil to finish out the sidewalk. We didn't realize we would need more dirt once the sidewalk was finished. He promised to deliver within 2 days and he kept his promise. We are very pleased with the work Darrell did and would definitely use again and tell our friends !!

Everything turned out pretty good! The crew was respectful, punctual and got the job done quickly.

Darryl returned our call very quickly. Came, left estimate in our mailbox in our absence. Did what he said he would on the date he promised. Very good job. This was all done in our absence. Excellent work! The curb was shaped the same as before. Job very well done. His business card made it to our services book. A side note: Concrete truck (Allied Concrete) left tons of oil on street but not fault of Renfro. Thanks Darryl!

We could not be happier with our new driveway. The operator, Darrell Renfro, was very professional and did exactly what we agreed upon in a timely manner. By using high quality materials and paying extra attention to detail his work stands out above the rest. He called me almost every day during the project to let me know how it was going, and followed up after to make sure I was satisfied. At some point we are going to need to resurface the garage floor, and I will not hesitate to call Renfro Concrete.
