Jeff Milbauer Painting

After considering multiple estimates and online reviews, we hired Jeff to paint the interior of our home. Jeff's price was good and his reviews were strong, so we expected a smooth project....and all of our expectations were exceeded! Jeff was prompt, detail oriented/thorough, and flexible (even when we changed a color mid-project!). He was terrific at communicating progress and next steps, and kept disruption in our home to a very minimum. We would absolutely, positively work with Jeff again, and have already recommended him to friends.

His work was really high quality and so was his professionalism. He cleaned the rooms throughly after work. He followed up & came back to touch up on small areas that were missed. We will surely hire Jeff for future Painting jobs and recommend him .

I purchased painter for a day deal, hoping to get our 3 bathrooms painted (walls and ceilings). Jeff came out to see how big of a job it would be. Bathrooms are difficult to paint so I was not sure if he could gets all 3 done in a day. He said he couldn't guarantee to get them completed but would try. Well he did it and did a great job

Jeff was prompt, professional, and a complete pro. I hired him initially to paint the stairway and upstairs loft. I had already done my kitchen and family room, but didn't have the equipment needed to do the stairway. After seeing the quality of his work, I had him also do our entrance hall and two downstairs rooms. He got all of this done in two days. We provided the paint, he provided everything else. The results are fantastic! He was very careful to not make a mess in our new home, and very meticulous about cleanup after the work was finished. I HIGHLY recommend him and will make sure to call him again if I have any additional painting I need done. My sister stopped by to see the results and had him give her an estimate on painting in her home also. He was also less than 1/2 the cost I was estimated by a large painting company I also found here.

Jeff did a great job painting our stairway walls and ceiling. I purchased the painter for a day deal and wasn't sure it could be done in a day. Jeff was efficient and got it done. I'll be calling him back to do another paint project that will require special ladder work.

Jeff was very friendly, arrived promptly at 8am and worked until about 4-5pm every day. I had the whole interior of my house painted, minus bedrooms and bathrooms. I chose the paint color and he provided all paint, even had to run out and get more. We were pleased with his work and work ethic. We did notice quite a bit of paint splatter in our kitchen on the granite and hardwoods, but we were able to clean it. My only "complaint" would be how he prices jobs. Once our house was done, we wanted some bedrooms painted. 2 average size and 1 bigger than average size. The price for our entire house was only $600 more than the price for 3 square bedrooms. It just seemed off to my husband and I. We would hire him again and have referred him to other friends and family.

Jeff painted our hallways, upstairs and downstairs, 3 bedrooms, removed wallpaper from 3 bathrooms and a dining room, painted all rooms where he had removed the wallpaper, and then did some exterior painting and pressure-washing as well. His prep work is intense. Jeff puts lots of effort into preparing the walls; and then, when he paints, he gets great results. Many times he finished a room or a portion of his work under-bid, simply because he works hard and works smart. We appreciate his dedication to the job.

I was very pleased with the work Jeff did, from start to finish. Jeff was very easy to work with, and the quality was great. He provided a detailed estimate that listed everything that was included. He perfectly matched our existing paint as requested. He called the week before starting and checked the day before starting to confirm we were ready for him. He correctly estimated exactly how long the job would take. He coordinated which room he was working on with us, so we had somewhere to put our cats and keep them out of the way. He taped off all edging and put down cloths so the edges were neat and there were no paint splatters. The end result looks great! While the price was a bit higher than the other estimate we received it was well worth it for the quality and how smoothly the whole process went. I wish all home improvement projects turned out this well and went this smoothly.

He was a good painter, but talked to himself the entire time. At first we thought he was on the phone, but realized he wasn't. He was saying the same thing over and over and over again. .

objects.arrived a bit early, i think he did not expect that he had to move some furniture in order to paint. i had tried to move some but could not move heavy objects . had to paint 2 coats on wall. ran out of paint. so couldnt finish the hall or trim as time was running out for him. he did a good job on the walls,was careful about any paint falling on floor by using drop cloths.

It all went very well. I just found him to be slow and he did not promote himself. He did a good job and worked for his 8 hours. I had to finish the second coat on 3 of the 4 walls but not the ceiling.

Mr. Milbauer did a great job on our house, letting us check the colors we selected on small sample areas, before he continued. He was prompt, professional, and did a thorough job replacing and caulking some of our trim. He was very careful to clean up when he was done. I could not find a paint drip anywhere on the outside of our house. We will definitely call him again when we are ready to have some interior painting done.

He was very quick to get back to us after we purchased the Angie's List deal. He was able to come out within just a few days to take a look and discuss what we wanted painted. He then gave us an approximate timeframe for when he'd be able to paint, which was about a month out (this was fine with us). Pros: He was punctual, even though he was painting during the week when we had a lot of snow and very cold temps. He was careful about not dripping paint on the carpet -- laid plenty of drop cloths. He worked very quickly so he could complete even more painting than we initially thought he'd be able to complete within the timeframe we had purchased, which I really appreciated. Other thoughts: The quality of the paint job was okay -- it wasn't the best I've ever seen. There are definitely imperfections if you look closely. This might've been due to the fact that he was trying to work quickly for us and accomplish more painting. While he was careful not to drip paint on the carpet, I did find some drops on our vinyl flooring and even on a door handle -- these are not too difficult to clean up (compared to carpet), but it was a little sloppy. Also, he left paint overnight in our garage one night when the temperature dropped well below zero, and it froze. When it thawed, it was unusable and we had to spring for another can of paint. Jeff said that this had never happened to him before -- I believe that, but I wish he would have asked if he could leave the paint inside the house because that would have been fine. It was an unintentional mistake -- just disappointing. Overall, we are happy with the paint job, especially for what we paid. The details are not the best I've ever seen, but it was a good value for us and Jeff was friendly and reliable.

Jeff reportedly had the rare scheduling conflict, but was still able to get the work done in the promised time frame. He was on time (within 15 minutes) and polite. His work was neat, and he did more than was asked. For example, my husband had begun to repair a portion of a window frame that had cracked and broken plaster down to the concrete. My husband had used some tape and plaster to repair it, but it still needed a lot of work. I told Jeff that he didn't need to mess with that part, but when I went in to check the work at the end of the day he had finished the repair work. On the second room I had planned to caulk a seam that was split between the wall tape and the ceiling, but he did that too. It was a great experience and I hope to use him again.

Jeff was extremely prompt starting the day, lunch break and quitting time. He put in a full 8 hours a day (and then some). He called to let us know if there was an issue and kept us informed all the way through the process. Jeff did an outstanding job and we are pleased with the work he did. We would hire him again in a second!

I have to say that I chose Jeff because of his rating on Angie's list and the reviews and I am so glad! He arrived at our home on Monday morning on time and ready to get started. He set proper expectations with me as to what he would accomplish each day and delivered on them. He kept everything neat and clean and did beautiful work. Couldn't be happier with the results! We are so pleased and we have him lined up to paint the rest of our home.

We were very pleased with the paint job. Jeff was professional, tidy and considerate. He repaired pre-existing wall damage and filled in unwanted nail holes. I have hired painters in the past and have never been pleased until now. I felt the price was reasonable given the work and the level of professionalism. I will hire Jeff again.

Superb! Responsive: Jeff returned my first call very promptly, and came by that very afternoon to give an estimate. Helpful: Although I hadn't expected any painter to be able to do it, he was able to schedule the painting in, the same week. He also consulted on paint shades. Very thorough and quality prep: He started some prep on a Wed, on things that needed to dry before painting, and then he and his employee prepped and painted for the next 3 days. You can see the quality prep in the beautiful end result. Good communication: Jeff asked questions and explained options clearly. He made helpful suggestions. He clearly stated what was included and excluded on his written estimate. I made a mistake and missed one item, and we discussed it later. He gave me a very good price to add the additional item. He didn't have to do that. But he did. And he was very nice about it. He also asked me if I had preferences on how he did some items, which were important to decide early (eg - did I want to add a ceiling which had some discoloration?), before he did them. Professional: Jeff is professional in all things, and friendly and easy to work with, too. Quality and skill: The quality of Jeff and his employee's work is great. In final walkthrough I found nothing -- not one thing -- to call out, or to ask to be corrected. He is picky about the work, and so the result is top notch. These are skilled painters, applying trim paint freehand with no taping and no mistakes. Punctual: Jeff is always punctual. He started early each day, the same time he told me he would be here. Price: Very good value (quantity and quality) for money paid! In summary, Jeff is one of the best contractors I've ever hired, and one of the nicest and easiest to work with. Very happy with value for the money. Very happy with how smoothly everything went. And the resulting look of the apartment is beautiful. I recommend him to you very highly.

We gave all them all of the information up front. They confirmed the work and then they cancelled the appointment and said we were outside their service area. We had the deal refunded.
