Arlinghaus was very professional throughout our experience with them. Our furnace had gone out and we needed to make a decision pretty quickly about purchasing a new one. They showed up quickly after our call (same day) and were attentive to our needs. Once we decided to purchase a system from them, they offered to provide us with space heaters over the weekend since we'd be without heat for a few days before they could do the installation. (We declined because we have young children in the house, but we appreciated the offer.) Our sales rep was in touch over the weekend and on Monday when the new furnace was installed, making sure things were going as they should. The installers were professional as well, showing up when they said they would, keeping the space they worked in clean, and cleaning up afterward. We weren't too happy to receive an email a few days later suggesting part of our system needed to be cleaned (the A-coil), which the installers never mentioned when they were here. Our sales rep was apologetic and said they should have pointed that out to us on the day of installation. They did take photos of the coil, so we could see what they were talking about and why it needed to be cleaned. Everything's been working well since the installation.

Arlinghaus Heating and Air Conditioning is very good. They have a deal where you pay about USD 150.00 and get four service checks. He did more than he was expected to do. He was just supposed to come and check but he said some components were dirty, so he cleaned them.

We have used Arlinghaus a couple times so far and have been extremely impressed. It seems the service industry has been sliding year by year, but not Arlinghaus. Not by a long shot. Everyone who has come to our door has been very well trained and very professional, especially Brandon. I just wish we knew about them sooner.

Heat pumps are rather expensive so we wanted to get a good system that would prove both efficient and reliable. Over the past 17 years I used several different companies and some independents and were often not happy with their work. If we were going to spend money we wanted the HVAC equivalent of a Toyota or Honda in reliability. I have a good friend who is very knowledgeable about these systems as he works in the industry. He recommended Trane as and quot;very good equipmentand quot;. My research with Consumer Reports also stated Trane was reliable. I called Arlinghouse out of the blue as Trane is their brand. We were immediately asked about an energy audit. When they explained that rebates were available from the Greater Cincinnati Energy Coalition we decided to proceed. (Rebates may still avilable as of 7-16-12). The audit found some relatively minor air leaks in the laundry room which were repaired with spray foam insulation. Note you would be free to do it youself. The rebate we qualified for was for a high efficiency system only.. but this cost the same as the standard system! It will pay for itself with lower energy bills. One hour after turning it on our house was more comfortable then it had been in years. We wanted a company that knew its product and would stand behind it with service. Arlinghouse at first confusd us. They came and measured our house and said we will be in touch. The other companies -we got 3 estimates - were more focusd on sales. When Mike - the comfort specialist came back we were scared of a high pressure salesman. Nothing could be further from the truth. He explained their systems, rebates and answered all questions. He explained their philsophy is to build loyalty through good serivce and good products. I have heard all this before but this seemed to ring true for a change. Our experience has been great so we feel confident in recommending Arlnghouse.

Two weeks after the audit, we were supposed to hear the results of the audit. However, we NEVER heard back from the energy audit company. We called Arlinghaus numerous times over the course of 3 weeks with questions about this and other things. We talked to the office people who told us, each time, that he would call us back, he would call us back. We NEVER heard from Arlinghaus or the energy company again! No calls, no NOTHING! Needless to say we went with another company. Their follow up was nill. Another thing Arlinghaus neglected to tell us, is that these and quot;rebatesand quot; were only good AFTER you bought and installed their hvac system and had another energy audit. There were no guarantees that you were going to get them. Very misleading. We went a very simular TempStar hvac system and payed over $5,000.00 less (no kidding) than the Trane system Arlinghaus proposed.

We asked for a checkup on our air conditioner and general HVAC system. The technician arrived on time, was pleasant, asked for some basic information and went to work. He mentioned a few things about the unit that we hadn't known (we bought the house with the AC already installed) and made a few adjustments. He noticed that our blower unit had a seam that was leaking quite a bit of air; he corrected that issue. The price was more than fair and we asked what ongoing service might be available. They quoted a fee for regular checkups, that again seemed fair, so we went with that. The fee shown includes both the service call and the checkup plan.

Perfect experience. Dan Shields was who we dealt with and I could not be happier. Everything he quoted was exactly the service the performed.

The experience was excellent. They were on right on time when they scheduled their work and they did it well. They cleaned up after themselves. I was in the HVAC business for a number of years and I know quality work and they do quality work. It was top notch. I got 5 bids and they gave me the best bid. We would absolutely use them again.

I sort of stumbled onto Arlinghaus Heating and Cooling as I was researching what a different contractor told me about rebates available from the Kentucky Home Performance program. I called their office and they were friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the program (which being a bureaucratic governmental program seemed hard to nail down the specific amount of a rebate we would be eligible for). We found a date only 2 days later they were able to come out and do the energy audit which saved us huge money since it beat the July 1 deadline when the program was changing from a 35% rebate to a 20% rebate. Two guys came out, RC the salesman and Dave the energy auditor. Both were extremely friendly and easy to talk to as well as being knowledgeable in their profession. They set up a blower door test and an impressive computer program that ran the fan in the door and analyzed the house for air infiltration. I have already done a lot of improvements to the house myself and we passed the test with flying colors. Dave was still able to walk around the house and find where air was being pulled in and I could improve our house's insulation which I did. We agreed to have them sell us a new heat pump system, the outdoor unit as well as a new air handler indoors. They sent out RC again and someone described as the and quot;installation managerand quot; or something like that the day before the installation to make sure the guys had the right parts for the installation the next day. I was able to describe to them what I didn't like about the old unit and installation so that the new system wasn't installed with the same shortcuts. On the installation day they sent out 3 guys who were polite and neat (always careful to wear boot covers when they came in from outside into the house). They removed the old unit, installed and tested the new unit before 5pm. They let me take apart the old unit to salvage any recyclable metals (not something I would recommend for most people) and then removed everything that I could not salvage. Also on installation day we received a pleasant surprise. The heat pump unit that we had agreed to was not in stock so rather than postpone installation Trane had upgraded the unit to the next better unit for FREE !! We went from a 10 SEER unit (nominally, it was probably less than that) to a 19 SEER unit which ran most of July and into August (as I write this) for a fraction of the cost of running our old unit. Amazing. It all worked out great and I am thrilled so far with the performance of the system and the responsiveness of Arlinghaus Heating and Cooling.

It just didn't work out at that time. I would consider calling them in the future if needed.

He took care of us very well. He provided good quality work. We know him, and we know that he does a good job. He is also conveniently located.

They were very competitive, knowledgeable and the installation went very well. They cleaned up after they finished their work.

John does meticulas work. I think John is a little more expensive (not sure because I did not get other quotes), but you definately get the highest quality workmanship.
