When a previous owner installed a gate on the side of my house the gatepost was installed incorrectly. It tilted away from the gate so the gate latch did not catch on the post. When I bought the house the gate was held closed with a bicycle lock. I had previously been quoted a price of $400 to install a plate which would allow the gate to be locked. Elsmere Ironworks quoted a price nearly half that and devised a solution that was simple and elegant, making the bracket appear to be part of the original gate. Now I can close the gate and lock it with a key. Elsmere's installers were on time, very professional, and did the install in short order. I am very pleased with the result.

They gave a rough estimate from pictures we emailed. They came to my dads house in Bridgetown and sketched the work done and confirmed price. They gave an estimate to 4weeks to manufacture the custom material to install. They installed it on time and it looks great! I looks like it is part of the original porch. We get lots of complements.

They were easy to work with and responsive to any questions. Because we ordered in mid- October, we had to wait almost 2 months for the install but it was worth the wait. The custom walk through gate on the front porch looks great - you would never know that it was not original to the house a 1907 craftsman brick bungalow. Would definitely use them again.

They showed up at the scheduled time, installed the fence timely and the product was as discussed. Nice fence and gate. Will last longer than I will be on this earth.

The work was really well done. Everything they promised as far as cost and timelines were all met, so we were happy with the work.

Their work was incredible! Because it was a custom job, it took awhile, but the job was completed well within the time frame we were told it would take. Their workmanship was incomparable and I can't recommend them highly enough!

I have an older home with a stucco porch. I wanted hand rails for the front steps but wasn't sure how to accomplish this because my front steps have concrete "arms" that are level with the porch floor. John from Elsmere Ironworks came out and we talked about a solution that would be sturdy, longlasting and would look good with the house. He took measurements and sent me a drawing with a quote within hours of our meeting. I had a custom wrought iron hand rail made with a satin baked on powder coat finish with a zinc enriched primer. Fabrication took a couple of weeks and I received a call to schedule the install. The guys who installed the railing showed up on time, were polite and efficient. Because the railings are custom fabricated, I had to put 50% down when I approved the order, but the reviews on Angie's List were positive and I felt I could trust the reputation of this company. I was not wrong. The railing is beautiful.

Work was done very well. It took awhile to perform due to project load, but they were always responsive when I asked about status.

and This had needed repair for years but I had struck-out a few years ago. After joining Angie's list for another reason, I decided to check for this repair, too. The E I guy measured the area for what I wanted and soon gave me a quote. For personal reasons I needed to get this done straight away or wait a few months. Within a few days they called with an open time. They came here, did all that was needed. They did an excellent job and cleaned up the work site. After several uses I have not found anything they did to leave something that would hurt any hands. And once again the rail feels solid as a rock.

I contacted many fence companies in the area (sometimes by e-mail, sometimes in person), but couldn't get anyone to take me seriously until I visited Elsemere Ironworks. I dropped off pictures and specs of what I wanted, receiving a price quote in a timely manner. Everything went as expected; no "surprises." Total process took about 10 weeks and I had to put down 50 percent up front, but that's to be expected from the nature of this work.

They did a superb job. They worked with me on what I wanted - design, etc. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves.

Called them to get front porch railing estimate. Did a little coaxing to get a price response but if finally came via email. Initial style was changed through emails - this process was fairly easy. They responded to our need to have this railing installed before a family event, so the 4-6 week order time was shortened. Railing was delivered and installed quickly and professionally and is attractive and sturdy.

The whole process was great. Both men we encountered were professional. The work was completed ahead and schedule and when finished the area was clean. We are very pleased with the outcome of the project!

What a great experience! We hired Elsemere Ironworks to replace a section of damaged iron railing on our front porch. They came out to provide a quote in mid December and we shceduled the work to be done after the holdays. We had no issues with scheduling the visit for the quote or the work. They did an excellent job removing the damaged piece of railing and replaced it with a beautiful piece of custom ironwork to match the existing pattern on our porch railing. To top off the experience with Elsemere, they provided exceptional customer service. The man who provided us with our initial quote contacted my husband after we had scheduled the work and submitted a partial payment to let him know they were giving a discount to anyone who had a quote in December, so we ended up paying less than the original quote! I thought this was very impressive given we were already on the books and would have never know about this discount otherwise. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs ironwork!

John and his assistant showed up as scheduled to install our gate. We were absolutely thrilled with the way it looked. We received several compliments on it even as they were installing it, and many more since. We are very happy with the design, how good it looks, and the way that it was installed. No surprises ! We would definitely use Elsmere Ironworks again, and gladly recommend them to anyone who needs this service.
