I looked at several companies before choosing Custom Wood Buildings through a local dealer Kim's Cottage.There was only one other company I considered before opting with Custom Wood Buildings. I was impressed with the model building at Kim's Cottage because of the quality material used in the construction. Plywood is used for side walls and roof sheathing along with floor as standard material as opposed to OSB with most other builders. Everything is constructed 16in on center instead of 24 on center by everyone else.I opted for the upgraded treated 3/4 in plywood floor and a package which included two wall vents, aluminum threshold ,30 lb tar paper, and pressure treated floor joists.I also received a free window with coupon and added a workbench as option. The loft was a standard feature on this building..After making purchase at local dealer I received a phone call about 5 days later and the construction date was scheduled two days later. The crew of four men arrived on time as promised and began working immediately in a very professional and orderly manner.The crew was extremely efficient and their experience was quite obvious.The job was completed including clean up in 2hr 30 min. Wow!! Everything was as promised and I could not be more pleased with my purchase.I would highly recommend this company and Kim's Cottage as the dealer.

I wasn't satisfied with the sheds that were offered at some of the big home improvement stores locally. I also noticed that the feedback on these sheds was bad, so I went looking for another company. I found Custom Wood Products online and found a local dealer. We were impressed with the quality of their sheds and decided to order. They promptly set-up the appointment to install the shed and showed up that day, on time. Three young men arrived to install the shed. They were very respectful and helped me double check the measurements to ensure that our shed wasn't too close to the property line. They were all business, putting the shed up in about 4 hours, built to our specifications. About a week after the installation the lock on the door had a problem. I called and they asked if we minded changing the lock ourselves as Custom Wood Products is located about 80 miles from our home. We were fine with that and received a new lock a few days later in the mail. I rated the price as a B because $2600 seems like a lot to pay for a shed and we hoped to get something for less. We did add a lot of extras; however, such as flower box, shutters, a loft, shelving, work bench, permanent ramp and aluminum threshold. Be sure to check online for a coupon. We were able to get a free window using a coupon I found at their site. This was a great experience and would definitely use them again.

A 4 man team arrived and quickly erected the building in 3 hours. The walls were prefabbed at the factory. We did not pay the balance right away because we had a few minor issues. We spoke to factory foreman Mike Seaman and he addressed our issues and fixed everything that we were concerned about. He was anxious to please.
