SHOWPLACE LANDSCAPING

I questioned that they had only brought a front loader when they arrived, as you can't dig with a front loader like you can with a back hoe. I came back home to find this tree planted 10-12" above ground with a 5" mound around it. I had asked the garden center manager ahead of time as to how they plant their trees. I was told they dig a hole just as deep as the root ball. Now I have 4 trees that look natural and normal, and one that looks like it was planted in a fast food parking lot. And I guess they decided I would need to weed and maintain this mound since I can't mow over it. Paul, the owner, said I shouldn't question the expert. 40 years of landscaping myself, working for a landscaper in the past, and the opinion of two other local landscapers, Baeden's and Guduigli, disagree. The trees they planted were ok as well as the landscaping. They didn't use top soil but it looked like they used clay to fill in the hole. They used crummy grass seed that didn't match the rest of the yard so it sticks out and grew really fast and then died. Since the quality of the grass seed was so poor I will have to have the entire job redone. One of the trees died, I kept after them for several months until they came back to replace it.

They were absolutely awesome. Their price was reasonable, it was worth it.

It went very well, we are extremely happy with the wall and the work that was done. Our project was putting in a 28' pool but needed a retaining wall The owner talked with the city inspector for us to get all the details correct. They did everything that was required by the city to specifications, and we have a beautiful wall that we feel comfortable that it was built to code and will last many many years with no issues. The men that came to build the wall were very pleasant, friendly and diligent to build a beautiful wall. The head guy knew his stuff and was quick to make sure the other two guys did their jobs with great care and perfection. It was very hot out and I was amazed at how hard they worked in the heat. We would highly recommend this company when it comes to building a retaining wall, and specifically ask for Mario. We ended up going to their landscaping nursery in Hebron and bought plants and grasses to decorate the surrounding wall. Had no problem spending more money with them, we were so pleased with the company.

We had several changes and had no problems implementing . Day one had a tree planted and a retaining wall installed. On day two some adjustments were made to the wall.

Showplace Landscaping was very good. There's a couple of little problems after the fact and they came down and fixed those.

They did quite a lot of extensive work. They had a crew of 6 and it took them a day to complete the work. I was very pleased with their services in fact I have had neighbors come and take pictures because they liked it so much and they wanted the same. They really set out the time and worked with me to get something that I would enjoy. I have a steep driveway so it is easy to walk up and down the driveway now. Their price was competitive. I had to kind of get after them to do things but once they got here they did a great job. I am going to send them an e-mail to call them again to come out and do some more work.

Paul fox is the owner. We were very impressed. It went very smoothly. They were very professional. They were very efficient. They were very considerate about other things that were happening. We can’t say enough nice things about them. The plants that were laid through winter seem to be all surviving. They also made a wonderful offer of coming back in the spring and doing the first time cleanup. We would recommend them very highly to everyone. We would use them in the future.

It did not go well at all. The pre-existing swale was filled in and soil was not compacted, no top soil was added, no fertilizer either. It rained a few days after and every square inch is going in a different direction. The major problem being that the water problem is worse than what it was before I hired this company. I asked for an explanation for putting rocks, trash, canes, along the wall and cover with sod, never got an explanation. Stopped returning calls and emails.

I DON'T THINK THAT THEY DID THAT GOOD OF A JOB.
