Oldham County Electric

The electrician, Clay, contacted my husband after our FOURTH time attempting to set up an appointment to have our home serviced. This company was recommended through our home warranty. Clay "diagnosed" the issue over the phone WITHOUT ever stepping foot into my home and then stated that he would not come to my home to assess the issue without us paying a fee. The fee was twice as much as the warranty charges us to have an issue assessed. We did not proceed with this company due to the unprofessionalism experienced. After that, the company attempted to collect the fee from the warranty contract without ever providing any services!

The initial conversation with Clay was professional. When the electricians came out to the house, they completed all the tasks except for labeling the panel and installing a custom switch plate (about 95% complete). They said that early the following week they would be able to come out and complete the project. We paid them in full at this time.After 2 months, we finally were able to get someone from the company to finish the work. Multiple calls were placed each week. At first Clay would answer, and in a very disorganized way would ask me what service they had performed and what was still needed. After calling him a few times to try and set up an appointment it seemed as though my number had been saved as "do not answer" because the only way to get Clay to answer the phone was to call with another number. For a while, my wife and I did not know if the work we had already paid for was going to get done.Finally, Oldham County Electric came out to finish the job. I was not home while they labeled the panel, but checked their work afterwards. The labeling was poorly done. Instead of labeling the rooms that were affected by turning the breaker off, they just labeled it "lights and sockets". There are over ten breakers that are labeled this way without any indication of what room it affects. Needless to say, I was very unhappy about the quality of labeling. To the company's credit, the quality of the hardware installation was good. Customer service and attention to detail was less than desireable and would prevent me from using them in the future for electrical needs.
